Terrible. They lie about delivery and it's impossible to get them to help you.

Online site said item delivered to letterbox, proof of delivery is a photo of the delivery card thrown into the street outside my block of flats, and no item in my letter box. Trying to get help via the Hermes website it's designed to prevent you contacting them or leaving a complaint. No help is available, it just refers you back to the false claim that the item was delivered. I've found a complaints resolve site that contacts Hermes on my behalf. It is appalling that there is not easy way to speak to a human being and resolve the problem of having a courier who thinks it's acceptable to lie about delivering to a letter box and who chucks a card in the street and clearly thinks that's OK as they've taken a photo of it as proof of delivery. Beggars belief.

Used them twice in six months. Vowed I would never use them after the first time. Posted some ornaments very well packaged, fragile tape all around the box so absolutely clear that it should be handled with care. Arrived at the destination and every item was smashed to fragments. Finally got in contact with Hermes (phone number pushes you to live chat, live chat pushed me to email) and after two weeks of waiting was told I was not covered due to them being on the "excluded" list of items. I paid extra for higher level of insurance, even told them at the time what I was posting and yet had absolutely no clue that ornaments were excluded until they emailed me a 50-page document of excluded items. Second time using them after six months. Had a dog guard for a car boot to post - quality metal so no chance of damage to this one so no way they can mess up, right? Wrong, It was picked up on a Friday from my work address, and on Monday a different delivery driver arrived with my package. I said I'm the one who sent it and they wouldn't take it back and said I need to sign for it and speak to customer service. Again, phone sent me to, live chat. Took me 40 minutes to finally get customer service to accept that it wasn't delivered to the delivery address and instead had been returned. The problem we have is that we do not have a genuine competitor at the right price range since The Royal Mail price hike - both of the above would have been over £25; with Hermes? £8.60. Use at your discretion, it's cheap but you end up wasting time dealing with issues.

Fraudulent Company Beware!!!!!! Returned home from work to an email this evening stating that my parcel had been delivered and signed for by household member. Now how the delivery driver has managed that is beyond miraculous, as not only have I been at work all day I also live alone. I have just used their texting robot on their website (as you cannot contact them verbally) to try and get some answers and it has actually provided me with a fraudulent signature created by God knows who. I am absolutely furious this is fraud and surley illegal.

Absolutely horrendous service. Lied about attempting delivery, then attempted delivery when I was at work twice, meaning the 3rd and final attempt was not fulfilled and I now don't know the fate of my parcel. Couldn't talk to a real person despite all my efforts. Chatbot, email and phone all useless.

Every single time I expect courier to be with my parcel, there is some issue with it. Usually there is some like 'nobody was home' even though I have been waiting home all day. This is the worst delivery service ever.

They lost 2 of my parcels with a total value of £85 and after 2 months I'm still waiting for a claim form. When trying to get compensation you just end up in a continual loop of asking for the form and hermes asking for your email address so they can send you the form, even though they're sending emails to your email address already. It's criminal. The telephone support asks you to use the live chat function and then hangs up on you. The live chat is an AI bot repeating itself constantly, whilst not actually answering your questions or offering any form of solution. I've sent 20 emails asking for a claim form and have received the same response from hermes. It's almost as if they want you to give up in frustration so they don't have to reimburse you for the parcels they've lost. In summary, the worst service I have ever received. They truly are dreadful and don't deserve to be trading.

Absolutely shocking they say standard delivery will take between 3-5 days but eveytime I have a party delivered by Hermes it always takes over a week and the tracking updates keep going backwards it always just says on its way how can it be on its way for over a week terrible company.

I expected my delivery on saturday,they said due to a breakdown I would receive it on Sunday day ,I then had another email to say it would definitely be here today ,i contacted Asos they looked i to it for me and said Hermes is sorry for the delay but the van broke down, it's a joke

Worst company ever, never mind building a new depot, sort your business out first, get your employees to deliver properly instead of just throwing over gates, or not delivering at all.

They lie about attempted delivery when they did not even try. Still not received a next day delivery parcel been 2 days now. Customer service by phone is non-existent so you can never talk to anyone apart from a robot at Hermes about any problems. Impossible to report a complaint. Avoid them at all costs. Feel sorry for the companies that use Hermes for the courier service.

Appalling service. Forged my signature and said signed for by customer (me) I was at work and no one was home. Parcel not there when I got home and told sorry it says signed by customer. Terrible terrible service

Have been waiting over 3 months for a delivery and Hermes have said they have attempted 5 times. I work from home and the doorbell hasn't rung once - very confused and disappointed.

Every time a company uses Hermes to deliver there are always problems, I had a next day delivery item for Friday delivery 2 days later it’s not arrived and the tracking just says we received your package, last week I got we attempted delivery you weren’t in (obviously I was) I have another next day item today it’s just gone 9pm and still hasn’t been delivered - I’ve had packages left outside my front door on a busy street (the courier has not even rung the door bell & I here waiting's) Hermes you are awful! I cringe with anticipated disappointment whenever I see that a seller has used Hermes to deliver my order.

Delivery guy left my package outside, he couldn't get access to the building and literally left it in the rain to get ruined. Made no attempt to let me know the package was being delivered either. Just rolled up, threw it in the car park and left.

Appalling service. Sent an eBay package which never arrived. Tracking hasn’t been updated in over a week in where it just says ‘been delayed’ impossible to speak to a human on the phone - just holly the online chat which is useless as she just tells you the tracking information. There is no way of contacting anyone at my Hermes. Ended up refunding my buyer and just taking a loss. Shocking company to deal with.

Parcel not received. Driver claimed it was put through the letterbox, when disputed it changed to left behind green bin, which also isn’t possible unless he climbed the fence and was trespassing. Totally unimpressed. Very very poor.
