They are useless,tell a pack of lies.All I wanted was a bar code they promised me three times when I contacted them but I am still waiting.Don`t use these bunch of cowboys I ended up paying twice for my parcel,these is the 1st and last time I will use them.Deal with a real company if you wantto send a parcel.

I only gave one star because it wasn't possible to give zero! I live in a development for people aged 55 and over, many of whom (including myself) have limited mobility and some of whom cannot even get outside their front door. The Hermes couriers refuse to deliver to individual flats and if the trademen's bell isn't working when the call, they think nothing of dumping parcels outside where they can get soaked. If the tradesmen's bell is working, they use that to gain entry to the communal entrance hall where they throw the parcels onto the floor. I know this because I've witnessed it - even though the parcel was clearly marked 'fragile'. I have tried to explain to the couriers that some residents are unable to collect their parcels from the entrance hall but I am usually just met with a grunt or a shrug of the shoulders. I know the couriers work hard for very little financial reward but personally, I would choose to pay extra and know my parcel will be delivered to my front door. Each time I receive an email from Hermes to say my parcel has been delivered successfully (i.e. 'left in reception' - we don't have a reception area!) I contact the retailer and complain. Whenever possible I avoid retailers who use Hermes or I choose to pay for next day delivery, as they use an alternative courier company whose drivers understand the concept of using an entryphone system and then taking the lift to the first or second floor. It's really not that difficult - maybe Hermes could offer their couriers appropriate training.

I will never use them again . My parcel in now three days late. And this is not the first time. I also have a complaint that is over one month old and .with no satisfactory reply.

I booked a collection, the courier never showed up but said that he came and that the parcel wasn't properly labelled. Lie. The next working day he didn't come and updated the tracking information at 12.00 saying that he couldn't come, while the collection window is between 8 am and 8 pm. I called the customer service who guaranteed me the parcel was going to be collected the next working day. Again, the courier did not come. I cancelled the collection to get a refund. The service is absolutely shocking! The couriers are completely inconsiderate and do not care about the inconvenience they cause to customers. AVOID. If I could give less than one star I would.

You take too long to return a parcel, can’t call anyone, customer service charge is £3.60!!! Joke . Post office return parcel next day and refund is in my account from Amazon that day too . I’ve said to Amazon they need to ditch Hermes . Why can’t you sort it out?

HERMES ARE ROBBERS AND LIARS!! THEY LOST MY ITEM AND DON'T WANT TO COMPENSATE ME NOW, EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR AN INSURANCE!! WORST COMPANY EVER! PLEASE PEOPLE! DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE TO USE THEM! Regarding: Reference: 180810-006822 Parcel ID: 3819274252153581 On the 2nd of August, I sent an item (MAC battery) to my first buyer on EBay. Hermes accepted the order, took the item and handled it. From the 5th of August there is no information about this item. Since 10th of August we have been exchanging emails regarding my parcel, they were telling me that they need to find out with the courier which handled the item (I thought they are the courier!!) Eventually, they told me that my item is lost and because it is prohibited item, they can not compensate me! I am very, very disapointed! There are no words to explain how much! Because they should have a system which is notifying customers if/when they are trying to send an item which is forbidden. Or at least after that, when the company is processing the order, to let me know via email that they will not take it and no money for a delivery will be taken. But nooo! They took my parcel, was going to deliver it (but because it is lost or stolen, because believe me, this company has incompetent people who steal all the time, there is no proper security or handling of your parcels, please do not send with them!!); so anyway, because the item is missing they are telling me now that is prohibited and they can't and won't compensate me for that! Even though I paid an insurance for this! So, in the same way, someone might send something dangerous and they will take it and attempt to or even deliver it!! I never seen such a company in my life! I can not believe a company like this exists, especially in the UK where there are so many norms, standards and regulations! I will definitely report them to the appropriate authorities! The worst thing is that I paid for this battery on a first place, then I had do pay for the delivery, I spent hours of nerves and efforts, and even worse, that was my first sale on EBay, so these morons made me look really bad both in front of EBay and my customer!!! WON'T RECOMMEND HERMES TO ANYONE!!!

Absolutely unaccaptable... say it s delivered in a secured location - no idea WHERE - came a day early and although i am sitting at home noone came at the time they show on their tracking.

Paid for next day delivery... didn’t arrive. They said address had been changed-nope. They said there was a barrier stopping delivery- nope. Was definitely going to be delivered before midday- no. Before the afternoon- no. Before 8pm- no. Sat for 5 hours at ‘the barrier’ that he courier couldn’t get passed (they had to press a button) but nothing. No telephone number, no manager to speak to just inline ‘chat’ or ‘shit chat’ as we now call it where they come up with every excuse as to why it is yours or the person who sent the items fault whilst actually giving you zero information about where your package is or when you may receive it. If I could give a minus score I would.

Lost a number of my parcels, made me jump through hoops for over a month trying to locate the parcel then apply for a refund and compensation only to back out at the very last stage with a technicality. Will never use again - use parcelmonkey instead. Cheaper and better in every way.

Awful customer service. Failed delivery attempt, card not left on first occasion within 2 hours of the next delivery and this time the card being left, they have already returned to the sender. Nothing they can do just go back to the retailer. Courier that simply ticks a box with zero customer service and I don't care attitude.

I just refuse to shop from any online store that uses Hermes as their courier based on pathetically poor service time and time again. Incompetent, outdated and lacking in any customer usability. It’s impossibly hard to organise alternative delivery options if you miss a parcel (which is always as seen by my most recent experience where they failed to deliver to my house, where I work from and so am always there, 3 days in a row. Our door bell can wake the dead it’s so loud so they obviously never tried). Just simply the worst

Now on third day of waiting for delivery after being advised it was due. No attempts made but shows online when tracked as having been attempted. Blatant lies. Can't speak to customer service, recorded message says to use online chat and disconnects. Online chat tells me to allow more time for delivery and that I need to be in to be at home to receive it. Worse than useless. Unprofessional, unethical, dishonest organisation.

THE WORST customer service EVER!!! THE WORST customer service of any company I have experienced globally. So here we go... Sorry for the essay in advance. Yesterday I ordered a parcel and paid for next day delivery at extra cost as I was buying it for this evening. I was up at 8 am and sitting downstairs waiting for the package and checking the tracking every few minutes to see when it was updated. It suddenly updated saying delivery attempted. I ran downstairs and there was no sign of anyone even though they supposedly had tried to deliver that minute. No card was there?. I share my front door with my neighbor so I knocked on his door and he opened it and assured me no one had rang his bell. I looked outside and saw there were builders working outside next door and they also told me no one had come. I tried calling Hermes about 3 times but there is no option to get through to a person it just hangs up. Yep... they charge 11p per minute to be spoken to by a robot and refurred to the website. I then tried using the hermes chat on the website. The lady I spoke to was helpful but refused to transfer me to a manager or get someone to call me back. I informed her I got no card so she called the courier. He answered and said he would retry deliver before 8 pm... Before I could reply she had ended the chat. This was no good as I had to leave here by 7 latest and had been sitting in all day. I tried the chat and another person answered. I went through the whole thing again and she called the driver who said he would make sure it was earlier than 8. Gets to 5:30 pm and no sign. Tried to chat again in case she could give me an update, and she says he tried to deliver so it will be 24 hours later. I complained and she said the courier's phone is now off... Disgusted that there's no way to speak to a person and that the staff can just get away with lying... 10 hours later and I'm still in the same spot. No sign...

i sent a parcel to Ireland on 04.08.18 when i tracked the parcel online it said on 06.08.18 it said it was being returned to me, no reason why. When i queried this by live chat on 10.08.18 all i got was two idiots saying i am sorry to hear this but providing no information about the whereabouts of the parcel or why it was being returned. I have learnt my lesson I should have paid attention. I will never use these idiots again

yet again I have received a message saying that my parcel has been successfully delivered WHILE I WAS HERE when it has not. Don't yet know if it's a lucky neighbour who'll have to deal with it or whether it's just gone AWOL like a previous one. Absolutely appalling service. Can I give it no stars? And then all the hassle of trying to find someone to talk to about it...

Absolutely joke. Told me my parcel was lost in the bolton depo so i told them I would go down to look for it myself as it was a massive box that can't just go missing. Then they changed their story to say it's left bolton and is on its way to Warrington and has got lost enroute. Absolutely lie!!!!!!!
