“I do not like NBI's seminars. The materials NBI distributes are typically trash and occasionally are different than those of the presenter. That happened to me recently and it was almost impossible to follow the materials and the presentation at the same time. Last week I took an eminent domain seminar which was essentially worthless unless one practices in Arizona, Pennsylvania, or Ohio, which were the states where the presenters practice. Also, I can't believe we're still encouraging virtual seminars; anyone who thinks lawyers get value out of a virtual seminar anywhere close to what they get out of an in-person seminar doesn't know what they're talking about. I'm convinced that NBI offers almost all virtual seminars because it realizes more profit if it doesn't have to rent a room and provide snacks. I almost always try to avoid NBI seminars but sometimes have no choice.”

“The presenters were very knowledgeable but not practiced at lecturing particularly individually without a second person to help with the discussion; so the presentation was a little boring and therefore not as interesting as could be.”

“Content was great. Two of the speakers were really bad. Kathryn Ziegler said "um" almost every 3-4 words and it is really annoying. Joan Thomas seemed to lose her train of thought on multiple occasions. They were both very hard to watch for more than 5 minutes.”

“I was very excited about this class. Unfortunately, it was not worth the time or money. Charging $400 to have multiple lecturers not show up and then end an hour early because you did not have enough people to fill the time is simply inexcusable. If you are going to ask attorneys to block off an entire day and pay that kind of money for your class, make it worth their while.”
