“Information on the website was sparse and could be better. I bought a product I didn't realise wasn't refillable/reusable because it even though it has "refill" written on the tube it is essentially 'one use'. Apparently a compounding chemist can refill it but I can't. I'm glad I did a test on one of the devices so that I didn't waste my expensive cream treatment. I had to ditch that device but at least now I know how it works. And it is working very well. The exact measured dose is great as the equipment included with my medicine was wasteful, messy and frustrating. I have since ordered more but I hate that they will end up in landfill. Please consider a way to have ordinary people like me be able to refill with my topical cream treatment.”

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify: the Perl applicator system is intentionally designed as a single-use, non-refillable item for important hygiene reasons. Refilling a previously used applicator could introduce contaminants and compromise the stability and sterility of your compounded cream. The word "refill" on the label is simply part of the reminder system for patients to reorder their treatment when needed — it does not indicate that the container is refillable. In our dispensary, these applicators are treated like a prescription vial. We compound herbal creams directly into these units under sterile conditions, and for safety reasons, we do not recommend patients attempt to refill them at home. If you are interested in having your cream compounded directly into these applicators for future orders, we do offer this service for naturopaths and their patients — it’s a more convenient option if you are using multiple applicators over time. We completely understand your concern around landfill waste, and this is something we are mindful of, however, in the context of compounded prescriptions, single-use applicators remain the safest option to protect patient health.
