“My Jovani dress was not attractive at all, the fabric was very thick, the blue was navy and not electric blue, it was on sale and couldn’t return. So I took the risk.”

“I believe that the company should be accepting returns. What if I don't like how the gown looks on me? I was told I can't return the gowns. It cost over $1000.”

“I loved the dress I ordered it was so classy and beautiful. It was way too small even though I measured , I paid to have it altered because they don’t do returns. I’d never order again from this web site , for that reason, no matter how beautiful their stuff is.”

“The dress is beautiful. I ordered a size too big and hoping for a refund ordered a smaller size. I understood later that NewYorkDress does no refunds. Very disappointing considering the cost of the dress, and considering I ordered another dress. I won't order anything else from this company.”

“The dress is pretty. I ordered a size too Small. And paid a lot of money for it. Shame on me for not reading the fine print to learn that there are no exchanges or returns. All I needed was the next size and it would be fabulous. Instead I have to find another dress and eat the $500. Not happy. Not the way to do business”

“My experience with James Temple in Maspeth location was very good. He was polite, helpful, funny and he did his best to help me find a dress for my son’s wedding. My issue would be with the store itself. You advertise 100s of dresses on your site. However of the 15 or so dresses I was interested in trying on, there was ‘maybe’ 1 in the store. Incredible. On top of that of the 2 dresses I settled on, in order to see the colors and the fit, I would have had to purchase both, no refund. I would have had to keep both dresses or get a store credit. What would I do with the credit?! My understanding is that is also the policy for many dresses if you ordered online, again, incredible! While James was nice, I can’t say I am all that willing to recommend the store. The lack of inventory and the policies were offensive.”
