This company should have been 5+ stars (but one department let the others down). Ordered items on 25th September 2021. The store’s sales staff member was brilliant. On 5th January 2022 delivery arrived. The delivery staff were brilliant. We paid for delivery only, so we would unwrap. The 6 drawer chest was broken in three places, although the box was not damaged at all, contact the company’s AFTER delivery department. They agreed to send a replacement and also stated that once delivery was made they would be in contact to discuss compensation. Then it all went wrong. The dinning table had a manufacturing fault where the centre inlay was well . . not centred, in fact it was on a tilt to the rest of the table. Contacted the AFTER delivery department and they said there was nothing wrong with it and that it was an expansion gap. We pointed out that as the centre inlay was glued in (we would see the glue) how was it going to move should it expand? Following day we took our photos and the table to the store. As soon as we showed the photos the response was “it’s a manufacturing fault, should not be like that”. The first member of staff showed it to another staff member who, without any prompting, said the same thing. Store emailed customer services and told them the table needed replacing. Next day we rang the AFTER delivery department who, after much resistance, begrudgingly agreed to replace the table but they stressed it was ONLY because in one place there was no gap between the inlay and the outer table surround. I when on to explain that when the broken chest was collected it would not be boxed as we did not want to move it as the right side was broken and the left front was not joined to the left side and didn’t want it completely falling apart on us (we are pensioners, my husband being 76 at the time). The rep would not engage on this and ended the call. A few days later my husband rang sales, explained situation, staff member apologetic and upgraded delivery to delivery, unpacking and assembly. End of January received email asking us to contact the company. New delivery arrangements had only been partly entered into their system and it showed we needed to pay for this service and that we had delivery, unpacking and assembly booked but in a delivery only time slot. I explained the history and the BEFORE delivery department staff member was brilliant. She got the charge removed, updated their system and said she would try to get the delivery on the same day (2nd February) but with an extended time slot. Later, when we looked on line, we decided to move the delivery to 8th February as it was the only time slot available, at the time, for this delivery type in February. We have received the replacement items, the delivery staff were brilliant and the furniture is great - as we saw it in the store and as we expected it to be in the first place. No Oak Furniture Land have not been in contact to discuss compensation - that must have been the update in delivery (although it was not offered by the AFTER delivery department.

A total joke and a shambles of a company. Been on hold for 26 minutes in relation to my order. This is the 2nd time i am having to complain. Was finally due to get our bedroom furniture today and with an hour to go they send a text saying its not coming and customer services wilk be in touch Ps ordered the furniture in October last year 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Dear Customer services, In regards to my order ref-7363276, My order was processed to be delivered on the 9th of February, a time slot of 1:30pm to 4:30pm with a courtesy call 30 minutes before. I received no call and had tried to contact customer services directly but it kept me on hold for over an hour I did not manage to spoke to anyone. This morning I was waiting for for customer service team to open at 9am I am currently on hold and the time is 9:30am on the 10th February. On my account information of my order it states my sofa has been delivered. So far this has been a nightmare I sincerely hope this does not continue, I had to take additional time of work. I am in limbo in what I can do.

Awful experience, waited 5 weeks for wardrobe to be delivered, on the morning it was meant to come 1 of the 3 packages didn't arrive (the base of the unit along with the hanging rails). Spent over 1.5 hour waiting on the phone to rearrange delivery for the 17th (over a week later) only to receive a message a day later saying it would now be the 28th. At no point was I offered an explanation for this sudden change or even given a call to discuss it. Awful customer service from what used to be a really good company. You don't expect this kind of service when you pay £1000 for a wardrobe and the company sell's itself on "quality service".

Do not take out their FURNITURE GUARD INSURANCE. It clearly states that loss of resilience to foam or fibre interiors is covered. The shop assistant assured me this would be the case. After 4 years the arm padding in sofa has failed leaving a protruding wooden bar. Made a claim only to be told this occurred over a period of time and so is not covered. NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON. Of course the padding is not going to fail in an instant. Do not buy their sofas as the padding will not last more than a couple of years

3 cancelled deliveries and now the courier turns up but the item was out of stock and not on the van - couldn't make it up - truly atrocious excuse of a company and over a hour wait to contact customer services - DO NOT USE

Had a delivery cancelled 4 days before delivery for 31st january , although 3 out of 5 items in stock . In stocks items due for a rearranged delivery 10th Feb ( why couldnt they still deliver ) , then remainder due 21st Feb. Delivery Cancellation for 10th Feb 5 days before, items not in stock, so obviously been despatched to someone else or lied too and were never in stock . I'm not holding breath but if delivery gets cancelled again I will contact trading standards and cancel full order . They have had over £3000 from me since November. Sorry but this company is should be stopped from trading until they can fulfil orders .

I have ordered 2 bedside tables and one had some stains and discoloration. Of course, the customer care service said that is normal for the solid wood but the product doesn't look nice anymore. p.s. on this site the Oak furnitureland score is 4.21 even if all the reviews are only 1 star!?

Ordered lounge furniture with a lead time of 14 weeks, it has since been delayed twice, therefore losing 2 days holiday which had been booked so I could be home for the delivery. Our next delivery date is 21 weeks after placing the order and paying in full, but I'm not holding my breath! Funny how some of the items are advertised online as in stock, with the remaining a 6 week lead time. Do not believe the dates Oak Furnitureland advertise. We are at 5 months and still waiting!

Do not use this company! You will be wasting your time and money. They lie about deliveries from the salesperson to the customer care, causing anger and upset, buy your furniture anywhere else but here

Ordered a settee on 26th December, was told that I could change my delivery date once I had sold my settee , I called the store and they informed me that I could not change the delivery date as they were having with shipping containers ….NO IDEA HOW THAT IS MY ISSUE.I have been sitting on the floor , but I thought I would wait till 8th Jan , now been informed date is delayed for another 2 weeks CAN NOT GET THROUGH TO CUSTOMER SERVICES, there is no customer service !!! Spoke to the salesman who doesn’t seem bothered at all ……Come on Oak Furniture Land get your act together should not have these issues or be more honest with customer’s.

Ordered a double bed at Christmas time due for delivery today 2nd of February didn't get a three hour slot text this morning so spent half an hour on the phone trying to get through to the customer services when i did they said it's going to be another 2 months end of March the thing is I got rid of my double bed yesterday so no bed now until we order another one she said the refund would take up to 10 days don't part with your money with this outfit. The way they speak to you is disgusting wasn't bothered one little bit she then put me into another queue which do the refunds spent 40 minutes trying to get through to them .so spent an hour in total stressed out.

Shockingly poor service, half the order still missing!!! We ordered two sofas from them. After the original delivery date was delayed by them by few weeks (via automatic email ,no direct contact!), when the day came, only one sofa was delivered. No warning, no communication, nothing. Have been trying to contact their customers service team for the second day now with no luck. Nobody answers the phone at all!! The sales assistant from the branch we bough just called my husband advising that we will need to wait another 2 months for the second sofa now. Still, zero contact from the customer service. Lots of money paid, and huge disappointment, nerves and frustration. Such a big brand and treating customers this way - Shame on you Oak Furniture Land!!!

After buying a sofa suite i was owed a refund due to 1 seat not fitting i did take the room measurements to store but they told me it would fit i m still waiting for refund it has gone pass your 3 to 5 days its like trying to get blood out of stone when trying to get your money back but when spending they really nice.

I brought a electric recliner sofa and footstool which i paid a lot of money for only to be delivered today and just left with an extremely large box no unpacking offered or rubbish to taken away

The furniture itself is great, but that is the only reason they are getting any stars. Their general organisation, internal systems, customer communication and expectation setting is terrible. When I placed the order (10 different items), it was 12 week lead times, fair enough, during COVID and other disruption, an we pay up front of course. They wait until the week before the order to update us that EVERYTHING was delayed another 8 months. After pushing (and being on hold for over an hour before you get to speak to anyone), it turns out only 3 items were delayed, the rest were sat in the warehouse. They split the order as a 'favour' so we could get that 'early'. that had to be escalated to 2 or 3 supervisors, seems a fairly standard customer service to provide?? Over the next 8 months and regular calling (with the obligatory hour on hold before speaking to anyone - 'exceptional call volumes' ?? No, just hire more staff), I managed to get most the remaining pieces one by one as they came in to stock - no proactive contacting to me. the final item was scheduled to arrive 2 weeks ago, it never arrived and I had no communication to say why. finally rearranged for today... just got a text message at 9am (progress!) saying we're sorry its delayed, call our dedicated hotline... currently on hold....

The worst company I have ever dealt with. From the moment you walk through their doorway and are accosted by Del Boy and Rodney (and several times more whilst just wanting to browse), to the excruciating ordering process whilst they try and link sell slime on toast, to the rip-off charges for delivery, to the pathetic excuses for delay (none of which they take accountability for), to the black hole of attempting customer service, this is a shambles of an operation. Recommend Furniture village- cost a bit more but excellent, knowledgable, unpushy service, quality furniture, free delivery and delivery dates delivered.

Absolute disgrace. Will be cancelling my order tomorrow. In short, placed order in August last year with delivery date in November, they cancelled and advised delivery before Christmas, sat on phone to Customer Services for nearly an hour, they promised to phone to confirm but never did, and of course cancelled delivery. Had two further delivery dates and guess what,..... Cancelled!!I Furniture now in sale so over £300 less than I paid for it. Sent four emails - no responses. Can't get through on phone. Worse company/customer services I've ever dealt with. Would need to question the review rating on Trustpilot - complete rubbish. My opinion....... Do not buy anything from this shambolic company.

I have been trying to get someone on the hotline for 6 days now. I tried at multiple times of day. Waited on the phone for more than an hour on average. At this point I am so fed up. I just want them to take everything back. Unfortunately I can`t get a hold of anyone to tell them that. Be warned. If you have a problem with any part of the furniture. You will have a problem getting it sorted out.

James Colquhoun and Warren Smythe delivered a 2 and 3 seater sofa to my 92 year father. They were so very helpful, polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you so much. You both are a real asset to Oak furniture land.
