Bought the Austin three seater and two seater two tone brown sofas, took the insurance out as well had a problem and they were not interested, i have to say i also bought all my living room oak furniture from Oakland happy with the furniture, but as for the sofas i would definitely not recommend anybody to buy a sofa from Oakland and definitely do not take out the insurance that Oakland offer, look for your own insurance company

Not happy with the Colorado 3 seat recliner sofa. 2 end seats the foam is a lot softer than the middle. Was told it was to be expected on a recliner!!! The right hand seat half the seat is firm and half the seat as dipped. Had one sofa technician look over but fed back it was ok awaiting 2nd technician on the 23/10/25. Visitors who sit in the seat notice it straight away.

Worst experience I have ever had! Ordered 8 items in store. Paid for premium (£99) and 5yr cover (£250) on top of the items coming to almost £4k! To begin with the staff member in store forgot to add the wardrobe onto my order. So to order separately I’d need to pay the delivery(£99) and the cover (£250) again! When I raised this with the store they said as a good will gesture they will void the extra £99 for the delivery of the wardrobe (that was supposed to be on the original order!). On arrival 98% of the items were damaged, it was only the two bedside tables that were not. The guys delivering identified the damaged and re-loaded the items back onto the van knowing I had expressed that I had nothing but a mattress since my old furniture had been removed to make way for the full delivery on this date. Can I also add that the delivery drivers made several comments about these issues being a classic case with the painted furniture quoting ‘the painted stuff is no good really’. Later speaking to the after sales team I was advised to use my third party protection cover to put right the damaged goods and keep those pieces, still expected to pay full price. After I’d also emphasised the fact I’d paid for premium delivery but been left with nothing more than two bedside tables, a dressing table and one set of draws, I was expected to sleep on a mattress for who knows the number of weeks until a next bed could be delivered! The after sales employee advised I was best to keep what I had as it could take several deliveries whereby items within are likely to be faulty and therefore if need a significant number of days off work to allow for this. Seems quality defects is almost too regular of an occurrence? The team came back late into the evening to assemble the bed after I’d asked them to, although damaged. At this point my grandparents were inconvinced having to come over and be in whilst they returned. Making several communications with the team in store, after sales team, customer services and customer relations all that was offered as a good will would be a refund on my £99 delivery. No further assistance on the plan for re-delivery, getting the order right. I’m now left with nothing but a mattress! The team are aware of this. As a new customer spending nearly £4,000 to have been so inconvenienced with furniture that is far from the quality it’s priced at. I now have no furniture, nothing on its way, I’m in complete shock this is incredibly poor from this company. I can’t advise enough to steer clear, the furniture is far from the quality it is priced at whilst their own employees recognise and openly express this too! The after sales and customer service support is laughable!!

My daughter ordered 8 pieces of bedroom furniture, and shockingly 7 of them arrived damaged. Before even opening the first box, the delivery team commented that painted furniture from this company is “often damaged”—and they were right. The items had dents, chips, paint smudges, and even warped wood, which suggests it had been wet and then dried out. Customer service was no help at all—they told us to claim on our accidental damage warranty to fix their poor-quality products. Their only offer of compensation was a refund of the £99 delivery charge. The result? My daughter is left with no usable bedroom furniture—including no bed—until we can buy from elsewhere. ⚠️ Avoid this company at all costs. Do not waste your money here!

In Oct 2022 we purchased a Marlow suite comprising two 2-seater sofa's and a chair in light grey leather. After about 14 months the two seats used most began to lose their resiliance and sag. I made contacted requesting a repair but was told that the 5yr warranty at the time of purchase did not cover this matter although the policy had been revised for later purchases. Now after 2yrs 8mths those two seats are now very uncomfortable. I feel the policy was altered because the problem had been identified as a manufacturing fault, and should therefore be honoured retrospectively for earlier purchases. Looking on line I can see that seat resiliance is now covered but, as I was not issued with a copy of the policy at purchase, I can not actually check whether it was actually covered. Either way I feel that Oak Furniture Land have a moral responsability under their 'duty of care' to offer a repair to ensure that we get reasonable life out of this purchase. I would like OFL to consider this for the reasons stated above. My order number was ofl-8206923 on 23/10/2022 from Plymouth branch with delivery on 06/11/2022. Allan Martin

Pleasant staff and nice furniture that is well made Although well packed the Durham coffee table was in pieces with no instructions (annoying for someone on their own) also no wax polish that was supposed to come with it.

Terrible customer service ,we paid for the delivery to your room service but the driver refused to bring it in ,we had to struggle to take it all upstairs ourselves .and found a mark on the wardrobe couldn't get through to customer service when I eventually did they issued me a 20.00 refund ,bearing in mind I spent about 2k ,I will never use them again .

Delivery dates are awful. Had delivery pushed back 3 times now with now an extra 6 weeks of waiting time whilst being 35 weeks pregnant. Literally ordered this sofa as was told it would 100% be here by mid July

I have used Oak furniture land many times over the years spending 1000's. As a previous go to supplier I ordered bedroom furniture. The wardrobe turned up with even the delivery guys disgusted with the quality of the item. There was damage to a side panel, as a painted item there were areas missed by the sprayer and others which were oversprayed. On top of this one of the legs even had a cut mark in it where cut in the wrong place. Rejecting the item I expected a prompt refund but even this has been a terrible experience. Only a partial refund was given for a random amount. After two follow up calls they admit this was their mistake yet this has still not been corrected.

Yesterday I received 3 pieces of furniture.one piece was damaged flaws and scratches. The deliveryman pointed them out to me and we both took photos I called them today to complain they want me to take more photos and a photo of back label .They even suggested some one come round and cover the scratches. I'm not happy about it I can't believe it I thought they were a reputable company they shouldn't be questioning me I should automatically get a replacement use

I had an amazing experience with Oak Furnitureland’s customer support team. They were super friendly, patient, and quick to respond. They replaced my table for free after an issue, and even sent me a wax kit at no cost when I couldn’t complete the order due to delivery charges. Honestly, the best customer service I’ve ever received. P.S. This isn’t a sponsored review—I’m just a very impressed (and slightly emotional) customer. No one’s giving me a free sofa… yet. 😄

I purchased a dining table and chairs set around four years ago, which came with a warranty/coverage plan. Recently, the base board of one of my dining chairs was damaged, and I submitted a claim for a replacement, which should be covered under my warranty. As part of the process, I was asked to provide a picture of the damaged part. Unfortunately, I didn't have a photo. After several follow-up emails, my claim was ultimately rejected due to the lack of a picture. I then visited Oakland store in my city to try to purchase a replacement base board. However, I was told that they only sell the seat base boards in a pack of four for £120. Since I only need one, this was not a practical solution. The store staff took my order number and claim number, and they confirmed that my warranty should cover the replacement even without the photo. They also said they would follow up with the insurance company on my behalf. Despite this, my claim was still rejected. Following this, I emailed MB&G Insurance six days ago, offering to pay for a single seat replacement myself, but I have not received any response. This is the first claim I have made in over four years of having the coverage.

I have only giving Oak furniture land one star because it wouldn’t let me right a review otherwise. We have had our two recliner sofa’s for just over a year cost over 3000 and one arm started to peel and this was replaced when the engineer said it was a manufacturing fault. A month later the back of the sofa started to peel the leather is coming off. The engineer called and said it was due to body oil, correct me if I am wrong but we can’t sit on this now because if we have any body oil on our bodies this will cause the leather to peel off. What a cop out obviously this is not fit for purpose as you buy a sofa to sit on. I have owned at least 4 different leather sofa’s and our body oil hasn’t affected any of them? We took out the extra 300.00 warranty to protect the sofa but it’s useless because it’s not as they say a manufacturing fault. This is shocking for a company to behave in this way and believe me I won’t be purchasing anything else with them. I am going to seek advice from a solicitor so that we can get something done as we are still paying for them. I will post what happens on all social media ie Facebook tik tok twitter with my results. I have seen this peeling on many other peoples sofa which were purchased from oak furniture land. Please don’t purchase from them as the wash their hands of anything that goes wrong. I will post what happens and the results when my solicitor starts on the case for me. Keep you updated
