“I rang the customer service team yesterday as I was in credit by a fair amount . Octopus had already contacted us to reduce our payments but as we have just moved house we felt a bit extra would pay help pay for other things. Joy was friendly and really helpful in refunding us £350. No fuss, quick and efficient . Thank you Joy 😊”
“On the whole Octopus energy are a good company and customers are able to fix their direct debit payments.
However, every year I have the same problem with them emailing me to say they've reviewed my consumption and are putting my payments up!
It's July, I'm £84 in credit, but apparently I need to pay £15 more each month!
Their own graph shows that I should be barely in credit at this time of year.
I had the same issue last year.
Octopus need to review the way they decide on increased payments when they are not based on facts!”
“First time contacting Octopus, as I'd bought a property and the seller used Octopus when she owned the property,so continued for ease.
My call was answered within minutes and Emily was extremely helpful in answering my questions and setting up my account. She also advised when to set up the payment as my tenant hasn't yet moved in and the property is currently empty.
I'd heard the adverts on the radio and I was a bit sceptical of all the positive comments, but I can safely say this was the most positive experience I've had in a long time with a utility company.

“I have made the mistake of having solar panels installed by Octopus Energy. A 2 day job is going to take nearly 2 months. They started the job on time, but when things started to go wrong they stopped the work and told me they weren't coming back for nearly 6 weeks. I have 5 out of 14 working panels which are proving to be far less efficient than advertised, apparently they don't like the heat! There is also a large pile of neatly stacked waste sitting at the front of my house. I'm losing money and I've totally lost any faith I had in the company. I believe that once you have a problem which is likely to result in negative reviews they put you on the back burner, safe in the knowledge that it won't get any worse for them.”

“No sooner has the holding music begun than Jay answered the call. I am moving house so needed to alert Octopus about my date for leaving my present address and the new address where I wish to start my new octopus account.
I expected a lengthy and complex call but in just over 4 minutes my request was dealt with and I have had emails to confirm the details.

“Ian Jones (EV Electrician) came to install our new wall charger and provided us with a stand out service.
From the outset he was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to not only ensure the wall charger was properly installed as neatly as possible, but he also took the time to ensure our cabling in the fuse/ meter box was up to date and tidy.
