“Well, Oldies service was good, but there were two problems. First, The Devil's Disciple is a superb movie with a perfect cast and a great dialog, but I cannot hear – no CC, no SDH. I was fooled by the newly re-mastered in HD to thinking that the remastering would add captions for folks like me that cannot hear. I was wrong. A note with the ad that there is no SDH or captions would have been nice. Second, I wanted to see the movie Hillbilly Elegy. I thought that was what I was ordering. Instead, I got a CD of the music rather than a DVD of the film. Again, I cannot watch the CD and I cannot hear the music. Pity. Maybe there could be some way for individual preferences to provide warnings when media with sound and without captions are ordered by SDH customers.”

“I ordered a two-disk box of "Colonel March of Scotland Yard." Box 1 contained not the TV show but a "B" movie called "X Marks the Spot." Box 2 contained the TV show but the film quality was poor. I got no response from an email to their customer service department.”

“The only problem that I have with Oldies.com is their outrageous shipping cost ! I ordered a few DVD's and the cost was $22 for the DVD's, the shipping was $12, more than half of the cost of the DVD's ! This is the very reason that I stopped buying from Oldies.com the first time! They will give you free shipping for orders over $99, but sometimes I only want 1 or 2 DVD's ! Another trick that they use is that they will charge a separate shipping on each DVD and then put all of them in one package ! If they don't change their overcharged shipping rates, I will stop buying from them again !!!!!!”

“Very happy with the shipping and condition of my order. However, inserted with the package was junk mail for Batman themed paraphernalia from a Franklin-Mint-type merchandiser, plus a donation slip for St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. I happily give to a variety of non-profits, but I don't need to be hit up for pity donations when simply doing retail business.”
