Be warned, if you get a problem with a seller OnBuy are not interested and just tell you to contact PayPal, not so easy if you do not have any transaction ID. Even worse if you pay by credit card, Paypal will tell you to contact your card provider and the card provider will tell you to contact PayPal. So whose responsibility is it to sort out these issues. At least with eBay and Amazon you always have good customer support to turn to.OnBuy are only interested in taking their percentage cut from sales and with ABSOLUTELY NO interest in anything else.

“Sent wrong item. Offered £5 refund even though it cost £30. Kept stalling /lying after offering full refund which never came. Opened PayPal resolution and they again used the same stalling tactics. Paypal ruled in my favour and they had to refund. AVOID!!!!”

I ordered 2 items from a seller on Onbuy (Goodsbybox) and was promptly emailed a goods despatched email and also a tracking number for Everi . After the delivery date came and went , I logged onto Onbuy to see I had been sent a message from them to say 1 of the items was out of stock and would I like an alternative or my money back. I opted for the alternative but have now had no response from them and also no products
I have sent 4 emails since and not one of these ignorant ****ends have replied to me.
How this company has an average of 4.5 stars is a complete mystery when you read all the bad reviews

“Ordered a Nintendo switch on the 04/10/20 which was a Sunday and got an immediate despatch message and was spooked already ,money paid through PayPal thankfully ,so despatch notes that royal mail has it ( on a Sunday) and will arrive on the 7-9th roll on the 14th and still no delivery so tried to make contact but no answer so contact was made through PayPal dispute ,they answered that day (14th) and said delivery was made on the 14th by courier called barret holdings ltd Long story short I was scammed PayPal was scammed onbuy don't care , if you can get your product from a reputable site and save your money 💰”
“The product (a JBL speaker) arrived with a Chinese plug. The seller offered to send a UK adaptor. It never arrived and the seller now not responding to emails. Onbuy did not deal with my complaint, just directed to PayPal. PayPal investigated. They were sent tracking info from the seller showing the product was delivered (yes it has, with wrong plug!) and have now closed my case. So no luck there and still unable to charge my speaker! I will not be buying from Onbuy ever again.”
“Haven't had my order. I was naive with this company. I trusted reviews on trustpilot and thought they work like eBay. They don't. There appears to be no involvement on the part of this company in transactions. It says contact seller you do but there's no reaction from from the seller as you don't know if they've got the message or or if they exist. They've taken your money through PayPal on the date they said the item was dispatched . You have no way of knowing it has been when it doesn't arrive. Onbuy. com doesn't appear to take any responsibility for your order and the fact it's a platform for what appears to be bogus companies.”
“I bought an Apple 20w charger which was cheaper than found elsewhere...for a reason. I received it but found it to be fake. It produced an inconsistent power output which causes damage to the phone overtime. I complained and was immediately refunded. The seller said 'Hi my apologies I have sent a full refund.'
I have reported this to OnBuy using the form (because they must have so many counterfeit products they need a dedicated process for them). They haven’t replied and the product is still being sold MONTHS after i have flagged it.
I have filed another form today.
Do not use this company. They know their sellers use fake products and don't want to act on it.

“I ordered some Razer speakers on Black Friday.
They arrived 3 weeks late, in an open box, and were covered in scratches. The manual was not Razer issue (just poorly printed/photocopied sheets of A4) and I strongly suspect the product was fake.
In short: I saved about £6 by using OnBuy.com and received a counterfeit, damaged, and late product.
Will never use this company again”
“I bought a small portable heater which after 10 minutes went 'bang' and tripped the switch in the fuse box. This temporarily stopped the oven from working bit it did affect the thermostat, not good 3 days before Christmas. If I had realised I was using a Chinese company I wouldn't have ordered it . Doesn't seem easy to return, but after reading the reviews will not bother, not if have to pay postage. Will not use this company again.”
