I had to wait 5 hours for the mechanic to come out. I was told 2 hours. I know I was safe at home but I had dinner reservations people I had to pick up Not enough information to let me know how long I was waiting

Nothing wrong with BP2, but initial with handling for recovery from M5 northbound was not good. Broke down and made my call for recovery to find i had to make payment of £50 and would be called back to make payment, after waiting half with no contact i called to find the initial report i made was not logged and my position wasn't recorded correctly even though I was stood next to the motorway marker. The agent took my details again and said recovery would be around 60-90 mins. Motorway traffic officer on site, no recovery we tracked the recovery agent who was going around in circles in the wrong area. Another call, and traffic safety officer contacted recovery company who had been given wrong recovery point and told it was outside their area, they did extend their area to recover me to safe area 3 hours after my initial call, not a nice experience, feeling very vulnerable with passenger on motorway hard shoulder.

Nothing went wrong. I gave 2 stars because the operative turned up when promised. However - while awaiting the breakdown van, the ferry office employees (I was parked at the ferry office in Yarmouth) jump-started my car and I didn't need assistance. I tried several times to ring to cancel the breakdown assistance and was unable to contact One Call. I had to wait for the breakdown van to arrive. This was very frustrating and a waste of time as I was missing an appointment elsewhere.

Not sorted. Flat battery (having been away abroad for a while) was checked, engine fired but did not start. Ascertained out of fuel, which was evidently a theft of fuel while I had been away. Rescue service should have included getting fuel and starting the car engine, which was not offered.

Disappointed that the recovery lorry was sent to the wrong location after completing correct details on online portal. Original recovery lorry was then cancelled and I had to wait for about 4 hour for the rearranged recovery lorry to arrive. Unhappy with the service I received.

Not so much with the recovery service, first company didn't come after an hour after time stated but I was at home so fine, second company came very quickly wasn't fixing car taking to garage and I was told many times when questioned that the cost of repair would be covered under insurance not sure who he was speaking to on phone to get this information but when I spoke with one call I'm told no I have to pay even when day before when I took out extra policy was told things like this were covered

The man sent to us from Unity Rescue was very rude to my partner from the word go. We had a flat battery but also had keyfob issues getting into the car. The man told us we were wasting his time as he should only be with us for 20 mins and it took alot longer. He also kept saying that my partner looked blank and did not understand what was being told to him. The man was very patronising in his tone. I hope that if we have to use One Call Rescue in the future that we never have this man again. Very angry and disappointed with this mans attitude.

Able assist came quickly about an hr. They rang and the man was very helpful. He was brilliant. My problem is calling One Call 3 times. The first and second call the guy couldn’t wait to finish the call. Was happy for me to be left stranded. It takes approximately 1 min and 9 secs after listening to the lady finish her promotional speech for an advisor to take your call. The third time the guy was helpful and I did mention he actually helped me more than the 2 previous phone calls.

Not a great service. I called the breakdown number, gave my details, was told to follow the text I'd be sent. Logged onto my portal, logged the breakdown and paid the £20 charge (ridiculous seen as I pay for the breakdown as part of my insurance) was presented with an error after payment taken. Told to ring the number I had just rung. Rang again, spoke to someone else. They couldn't find me on the system even though I'd just been talking to a colleague who found me no problem. Was put on hold for ages, eventually told they did have my payment. Got the breakdown sorted and the agent was great, arrived in about 40 mins. Just need to bear in mind that people are stressed and upset when they breakdown and having someone insinuate they have called the wrong insurer or haven't paid is not helpful!!

Not very impressed Had inadequate reception, unable to use the app. When you breakdown at the side of the road and have to submit a post code? Recovery guy was great though

Portal would not accept my payment by card( x2) called & spoke to helpful assistant, told up to 2 hours, update after 2 hrs to tell me another 30-40 mins. Recovery arrived almost 3 hrs after initial phone call to call for recovery. Did get recovered to desired location but hanging around waiting in 4 degrees temperature all that time was not fun.

As of writing 18:55. I am still awaiting for rescue in 4C temps. Called at 15:00 and was told 1-2 hours. Which is fine. Until 2 hours passed and was told the recovery vehicle broke down and they’re sending another. I had to call as no updates. Was told 30-40 mins. Hour passed. Called again. Said it was traffic. 20-30 mins. 50 mins passed. Called again. Was told that the original driver was sick, so he went home. Now awaiting another 20 mins. No updates to me personally and I had to call to get updates. Person on the phone is helpful. I am not convinced with the recovery service though. Shivering in my van. I hope they come soon.

Waited over alloted time and turns out no recovery vehicles in the area and would have to wait an additional 2 hours, rescue folk were very polite on phone and situation out of their control due to several breakdowns in the area. However as a 63 year old on her own, dark and very cold not ideal. Ended up having to phone a relative to come get me and left car. Also had to pay £20 for the privilege of not getting a service.

Waited 5 hours, lost a days work to be told a car with my high mileage is prone to problems, jump started in 2 mins and told see a auto electrician, nothing else can be done, so I’m now sitting with car that won’t start again, back to square one.

There were several problems with the rescue last night. I need to speak to one call and get all this resolved. The main bugbear is that they expect things to go smoothly with online assistance. In an emergency this is rarely the case. Telephone assistance is far more reliable and psychologically preferable when under this type of stress.

Polite and professional call handlers. ETA of recovery vehicle though was 1.5 hours. After hearing nothing, I called again after 2 hours and was told it would now be 2.5 hours. Eventually I waited FOUR HOURS for the recovery vehicle to turn up. No attempt to diagnose or repair the problem, just a tow to the garage and left to make my own way home. £10 excess initially quoted increased to £20 after booking.

Wasn't happy I had to pay £55 on top. Would have been nice to sort out over the phone rather than website. Internet very slow in the countryside. However mechanic arrived early and was excellent.
