When.my van broke down I was given an eta of 3.40 pm,two hours after I reported the breakdown.A recovery vehicle actually turned up at 5.10 p.m, three and a half hours after I reported it. No-one kept me informed, I was the.one doing all the phoning. The recovery driver was actually very helpful, helping me get the van onto my drive but the communication from the control centre was appalling.

The call handler was okay, but the guy who turned up to jump start my car, first of all went to the wrong place, even though I asked him if he knew where he was going when he called me initially. It was only when he called a second time to ask where my car was, that he turned up at the right location. He had a booster starter, that wasn't fully charged, so had to go and get another one. This just added more time to what should have been a pretty straightforward jump start. There doesn't seem to be a tick box for 1-2 hours below, so I've left it empty. When it comes time to renew, next year, I'll give them a miss.

The breakdown was in Falmouth. The breakdown service called was from Plymouth, some 65 miles away. Consequently, we were waiting for over two hours! We had to pay £225 which could possibly have been made less expensive by calling a local garage. Once there, the breakdown was dealt with courteously and efficiently. SM1

Broke down in Exeter on way home to Aberdeen from Cornwall on Saturday afternoon phoned for help from one call OK they could pick my car up but I had to name the garage I wanted my car taken too which I had no idea where any of the garages are as don't come from that area got more help from the pickup company than I did from one call not impressed with them at all was on the phone to them for over an hour while the people that was with me tried finding a garage that was open that we could take our car too so was stuck in the blistering heat with 3 kids for about 3hrs tried finding a company to hire a car but everything closed between 2 and 4pm couldn't get any ended up with loan car from pickup company to get us home now waiting to hear when our car will be ready for pickup which repairs is £1200 (clutch) will never use one call again

Initial phone call made at 10.00, mechanic arrived at 11.55. Mis-diagnosed problem (flat battery after boot door not properly closed) and wanted to sell me a new battery. He had to go back to base to get a diagnostic kit. In the meantime I drove the car for a few miles to recharge the battery. Alternator found to be working and charging the battery. I could have been £70 down

Firstly I had to pay £20, the man came out and to be honest he just had quick look and said I would have to take it the garage. I realised this but he said that garages were not yet open so I would have to arrange for him to come back to transfer my car with an additional £1.50 per mile, to cut a long story short, I arranged for the garage to pick my car up, they gave me a curtesy car, so in future I have joined another breakdown service, who actually help you. So I won't be using this service in the future

I understood it was a breakdown service, I struugled to my place of work, my car stopped 2 times and eventually started, i rang to have a call out at my work to ensure safe return home later, I was charged £20 and was told I needed to find another service to fix it, which i did.

The handling of the call was fine, and a local roadside guy attended in the time frame specified. However he didn’t have the relevant equip. To analyse the problem and couldn’t fix it. As I was a significant distance away from home, I called the AA and joined and had an officer attend within the hour. He had the right equipment to analyse, identified the issue and knew a fix to get us up and running again. Without this I would have been looking at getting the car back home from a York to Essex. So bottom line for me on this experience is the One Call rescue agents aren’t up to the same standard as the AA, so will stick with them in future.

I broke down on a Tuesday morning and rang onecall for recovery. they took details and booked me in. I received a text that said they would be with me in 60-90 minutes. over 3 hours later and quite a few calls the National rescue recovery truck drew up. The vehicle was so bad I didn't even think it would pass an MOT. as he backed up I noticed one brake light out and the smell of diesel fumes was very bad. we got loaded up for the 15minute drive back to my house. I could hardly hear the driver over the rattling of the truck which also had the Perspex on the dashboard smashed out with parts missing. in all a most unsatisfactory experience.

Was told by text 60-90 minutes. The recovery (National rescue) turned up over 3 hours after call logged to take me 15 minutes down the road.

Rather disappointed with breakdown, took good while to arrive then nearly dropped car off loading ramp while loading it. When arrived at garage went to unload it the same way but mechanic in garage advised better safer unloading process. Definitely not worth the money I spent.
