“Laser eye surgery has been the best thing I've ever done. The only regret I have it that didn't get it done sooner! I had nothing to worry about on the day - 30 seconds each eye, and that was it done! The staff at Optical Express are extremely professional, not to mention friendly. The weekly and monthly check ups are a breeze. I am delighted with the results and would definitely recomend laser eye surgery with Optical Express.”

“Once the discomfort of the surgery (very similar to someone rubbing chillies into your eyes) which lasted for about 6 hours I have had very little else to worry about and my vison has been fantastic, suffer a little with dry eyes but the drops provided soon clear that problem up,”

“On the day of treatment I was feeling a bit nervous ,but Joanna McGraw and all the staff were very kind and friendly put me at ease totally. After the surgery I could not believe how quickly I recovered. I can know carry out several daily tasks without thinking about GLASSES YIPPEE!! Also can see all my garden bird at the end of the garden which is a real bonus. Extremely pleased with the whole experience, have already recommended to several friends. I wish I had done it earlier.”

“Hi - I had my surgery in March 2012 at the Birmingham clinic, the time of my surgery was approximately 11:00 am. I saw 3 people come out of surgery before it was my turn and they all looked very happy. The staff were SO friendly and even wrapped me up in one of their surgical gowns when they saw me dithering while lying on the bed ready for surgery(although it was probably my nerves)! Whilst undergoing treatment, I remember counting the seconds and thinking to myself "it's okay it's okay" even though the actual process was very unconfortabe, i'd say the pressure on your eye is the worst but you just have to think that this process goes on hundreds and hundreds of times a week and it realy is over in no time. For me, the pain after surgery (about 10 mins after) was horrific! I know this is not the same for everyone as a few of my family and friends have also had this surgery and it wasnt as painful for them although my eyesight was worse than theirs. I managed to get home and fall into bed and once I had a few hours sleep the pain had eased and I could already start to see the benefits! I was so happy....but I still couldnt keep my eyes open for more than a cople of seconds untill the next day. The following day I was amazed, my sight was the same, if not better than it had been with my glasses on! I went back for my check-up at 9am and all was okay - they passed me fit to drive. It's now August and im going back next week so they can assess my left eye ready for enhancement sugery. As my left eye was so poor, the surgeon pre-warned me that there would be a 15% chance that I would require some enhancment. Im looking forward to my second surgery as I know the sight I will get afterwards will be amazing! I hope my story was useful - thank you for reading :-)”

“It has been a long 3 mouths but the staff have been extremely helpful and have kept in contact with me the whole time. My eyes are so much better! It unbelieveable! I would recommend having this done if you struggle with your eye sight.”

“I wake up everyday, still amazed, life is really completely different especially in close environments. no lost/steamed up/misty/wet with rain glasses or painful contact lenses you might forget to take out. I tell everyone about it all the time.”

“The vision is brilliant and freedom from using solutions and having to remember all the accessories when going on holiday is a huge bonus. Even getting up in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning and being able to see straight away is worth it. Like most people i was apprehensive about what to expect with the operation, but it is all over before you realize. I would thoroughly recommend going for it.”

“I'm very happy I had laser eye surgery mostly just because of the ease of my vision now, not worrying about dirty glasses or irritating contacts. I can see as soon as I wake up and watch tv in bed at night w/out worrying about remembering to take glasses off or contacts out.”

“I had thought about having surgery for a while however, being recommended by a friend and having issues with my current optitians I decided to go for it. I cannot believe the results and wish I had done it years earlier. My vision is better than I imagined it could ever be - I'd never even heard of 20/12 vision. Thank you to all the staff who were fantastic every step of the way. Here's to a future of clear vision!!”

“Although my eyes were sore for 24 hours after surgery, as was expected, the results of my vision are brilliant and the after care I've received very professional. Also during surgery they explained every part of what they were doing, which was very good.”

“I am terrified of anyone coming any where near my eyes. I can't even stand someone doing my make-up, so I was really nervous when I finally decided to have laser eye surgery done. After going through it, I would recommend it to everyone. It has changed my life for the better - I now have sniper vision - I am 007a!! hahaha. :-D I can make out which are taxi's instead of random cars on a night out, which is always a plus! Seriously though, the procedure isn't painful, just a little uncomfortable but it's over in seconds. Have it done now.... you won't look back! :-D Well worth the money and the Optical Express Staff are brill!!! Good luck...”
