About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“If I need something that is decent quality and very fairly priced, then I go to Outback Equipment. The staff are always friendly and helpful no matter what stupid questions I ask. These are my 'go to' store now.”

Their range of gear for camping, caravanning, and 4WD adventures is top-notch—everything from solar panels and water tanks to awnings and recovery kits is well-curated and clearly selected with serious outdoor users in mind. The ordering process was smooth, their website is easy to navigate, and delivery was quick and reliable. What really stood out, though, was their customer service—friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to offer advice without pushing a sale. It’s clear they actually use the gear they sell and understand what works in Aussie conditions. All the products I’ve purchased so far have been great quality and exactly as described.
