About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Ordered a Redarc tow pro elite from there website, after 12 days and no email stating that the order had been shipped, I decided to call them. I was informed that they would not receive the goods from there supplier until the 30/06 then it would be dispatched, at no stage did there website state it was out off stock, as far as I’m concerned that is deceitful practice, I could have order from another supplier and probably received it in 7 days, now I’m probably have to wait close to a month to receive my order, when I order online I want my good ASAP. I will never order anything from Outback Equipment or will I recommend them to anyone . Luckily there numerous online stores the sell the same equipment and I never have to deal with them again.”

“I just want to say 5 Stars to the honest reviewers who've told it like it is with regards to this company called Outback Equipment. You saved me a lot of trouble and I'm glad I took the time to find out a little about their antics. The reason I did look them up is because I phoned them to enquire about a generator and i have to say it was quite an odd experience. When my call was answered the background noise sounded like a call centre, fair enough, but I thought i was calling the store. Anyway, the poor girl I spoke with sure didn't have much of a clue. I told her the make model name and price of said generator, and that their website said it was 'in stock', which clearly it was not as she could not find it. Glad i rang and found out. Judging from many other poor reviews I've read about this place sounds like it's best avoided. Not worth the hassle for the sake of few hundred bucks. I'll stick with my local dealer.”

“Aussie Traveller caravan stone guard. We bought our stone guard in June 2024, 12 months in and all of the black mesh for the stone guard has perished and broken down from Sun exposure and the black frame is rusting. What makes it worse is the van is stored in the shade so the mesh has little exposure to the Sun. I would not recommend this product.”
