About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I just want to say 5 Stars to the honest reviewers who've told it like it is with regards to this company called Outback Equipment. You saved me a lot of trouble and I'm glad I took the time to find out a little about their antics. The reason I did look them up is because I phoned them to enquire about a generator and i have to say it was quite an odd experience. When my call was answered the background noise sounded like a call centre, fair enough, but I thought i was calling the store. Anyway, the poor girl I spoke with sure didn't have much of a clue. I told her the make model name and price of said generator, and that their website said it was 'in stock', which clearly it was not as she could not find it. Glad i rang and found out. Judging from many other poor reviews I've read about this place sounds like it's best avoided. Not worth the hassle for the sake of few hundred bucks. I'll stick with my local dealer.”

“Aussie Traveller caravan stone guard. We bought our stone guard in June 2024, 12 months in and all of the black mesh for the stone guard has perished and broken down from Sun exposure and the black frame is rusting. What makes it worse is the van is stored in the shade so the mesh has little exposure to the Sun. I would not recommend this product.”

“I ordered 2.clear lights and 1 side light waited over 2 months and only the clear ones turned up. I'm the package it said your order might not have all the lights but no email or explanation Very poor service Hope you email me bradleycaldwell29@outlook.com Thank you Brad”

“These pumps have a flaw in their design. The 90degree fitting pops off with the bouncing of the boat as it travels making the non return valve redundant. Of the four pumps I purchased two 90 degree fittings popped off flooding two hatches. One of the pumps caught fire in situation that no warranty has been offered from outback equipment . I have since replaced all these pumps with Johnson pumps. I would not recommend these pumps and strongly advise against using them. Outback equipment cannot be relied on for warranty support. If you purchase these pumps there’s a great chance they will flood your boat”

“Outback Equipment, easy to deal with, quick response and delivery time. The Rhino-Rack Tracks were a great fit for my Flexisport Canopy on my 2019 Toyota SR5 Hilux. Easy DIY, looks great and does what I want it to do. Would recommend.”
