About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Terrible company to deal with. No communication. My order took far too long to arrive and was only dealt with when I threatened fair trading action. I will never buy from Outback Equipment again.

The item I brought was out of stock ( it was showing as in stock on the website). I Was contacted and offered a replacement which I agreed to. The replacement never arrived and I have never received a refund. I have since brought the item elsewhere.

The order was not delivered for weeks. Tried multiple times to contact Outback Equipment via phone (unable to get through after waiting and waiting) and website (no replies). The order was only delivered after we lodged an investigation with the bank.

I have complained via phone and email twice but still no response. I have a faulty product that no one wants to discuss with me I’ve sent photos, copies of receipt etc but stilll no contact.

First it takes a week to send it. Then it sits in their warehouse for 2 more days waiting to be picked up. After waiting over 2 weeks I cancel the order as Australia Post have misplaced it. But the cheap a..holes make you wait to get it back before you get a refund..for $32

Very little communication with me regarding low stock of the item I purchased. Ticket system does not and took multiple phone calls to resolve the issue.

Ordered an item from them, appears the item was not in stock. Didn"t bother to notify me. Left hanging around for days waiting for article to be despatched. Ended up having to get a refund via Paypal.

Some items never showed. Had to cancel part of the order over 2 months after initial placement. 1 item just dissapeared off the order. Very poor communication

Nil update on the order being dispatched. Nil tracking update provided. Order had not arrived in a month and I contacted the customer service email and still have never had a response back. Company used for delivery service is terrible and did not even attempt to deliver the parcel on the first occasion as I was home all day and no one attended. When I followed the delivery company up, they advised it would be at least one week on top of the time I had already waited for the delayed products.

Communication very poor. Tried to make contact about my order as I had heard nothing about delivery after my payment. I tried to ring, email & Facebook messenge. Ended up getting a refund after going through PayPal complaints.

Placed my order between Xmas and new year as there was no indication on your website or in phone phone prompts that you were closed. No order confirmation received. Numerous emails/calls and promised dispatched dates broken. Happy with product when finally received over a month after order placed.

The web site does not tell you if the item you are interested in is actually in stock. If you do go ahead and purchase it there is still no indication whether or not it is in stock. After 5 days I requested an update on the status of my order. Still no indication that the item was not in stock. Only a message to say orders are dispatched 3 to 5 business days after receipt of order. After 5 weeks I finally got a message to say they were out of stock and I would be notified when it was dispatched. Item was finally dispatched on 31 jan. a full 48 days after ordering. I will never order anything from you again.

I ordered an inverter that had come on special. I paid express shipping on the item only to find out a week later that the company had no stock of the item and it probably wouldn’t have for another few days and then once stock came in the item wouldn’t be shipped until the day after that. This is disgusting you took my money for express postage but never bothered to let me know there was no stock. If you don’t have stock put preorder on the order site so we at least know we have to wait. Never even offered a refund for the postage once I rang a week in to check on the order and why it was still on pick.

I recently made a purchase of an item in stock. I fully paid for the item and two days later received an email stating there was actually nil stock and that there was no indication as to when the stock on order would be arriving. I asked for a refund and the process of the refund took 1 month. When I received the refund, the amount was incorrect. Just be aware that this company had no integrity.

I ordered a set of filters for my prado in about October last year and they didn't turn up so upon ringing I was told you were waiting on a particular filter and would be sending next week anyway to cut it short I ended up asking for my money back in January this year..very poor service and will never use you again

I ordered a 300 W solar panel and looking at the output. It’s nowhere near that it’s doing the job but I’m not 100% happy with it and if it advertised at 300 W it should be 300 W.

Used 2 toilet bowl liners on separate occasions and both broke.
