About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Terrible service. You don’t tell someone the item is out of stock until you ring up and ask where your order is? And then get told something completely different each time you call back. Never again sorry

I haven't received my order which was ordered on the 9th. It is now the 19th. the order was paid through pay pal, invoice No. N672743. I have ordered other equipment before and have had no problems.

Mirrors are complete garbage , vibration is so bad you can't see anything. I should have known better , mirrors that cheap are cheap for a reason , I also lashed out for express delivery only to not receive them for 3 1/2 weeks another waste of money and I would highly recommend spending some more hard earned and get something better , Do Not Buy !!!!!!!!;;

Atrocious. Website states a turnaround time of 2-3 business days, but my water tank took weeks to arrive after paying for express postage (as I needed it urgently). Was told I'd get a refund for the express postage, but nobody has processed a refund and nobody responds to my emails regarding this. I'll never use Outback Equipment again.

NO i am not happy!! I'm still waiting for a response from "Flynn" from the 10Th!!!! see below "Hello Flynn and thank you for your response the original of which never arrived (hence my frustration) Yes I have read your returns policy but it doesn’t seem to cover this scenario where the reason it is being returned is that your listing description is wrong and misleading so the fault is yours not mine. However I will comply with the requirements detailed below – I have the original box and packaging and the item is as new. I note in the returns policy that “…Outback Equipment will provide a Postage Paid label.” When an Item has to be returned through no fault of the customer and as that is the case here please provide me with such label so I can return it to you. Alternatively my local post office advise that postage will cost NZ$ 18.63 Untracked or NZ$ 44.00 tracked If you want me to use that option please transfer the amount to my bank account 12-3105-0016344-00 ASB bank Warkworth Auckland NZ Thank You Regards Bill"

Ordered for Christmas now weeks into January and still not here even though it said dispatched at order and I followed up and was told it was being sent before christmas

I had to prove I brought something on website using back statement and calling my bank and then it took weeks to receive.. it was a basic sticker and I also live in Qld same state as store

Gday Not had a good experience Items were not available after being told that they were ready the go immediately. I only discovered when items were available because I kept ringing up, not contacted by the store. Items were incomplete on pick up so further parts had to be mailed out. This was all a real pain as i was on a deadline. Parts did not fit or were defective and this is still unresolved. Have not heard back from my last email and my next step is to go to a consumer ombudsman. Every time I've rung I've been promised a call back and not once have I received one. Communication has been dismissive and counter resolutionary.

ordered on the 4th Jan, still haven't got it (16th jan) click on the link to track "404 "cant be found", type in fastways and put in tracking number = nothing found. I think it is easier to deal with other online companies than Outback Equipment, too slow and too cumbersome

I’ve been waiting for a refund since the 22nd December after I purchased an item that was in stock online, only to be told they had none. I cancelled the order straight away and they still shipped it. I had to wait for the order to return to the warehouse before my refund was processed (which they put through as a store credit). The last email I got two weeks ago was that I should receive it within 3-4 days after I chased them up via phone and email. There was still no refund in 3-4 days. Called them again and was told it would be a further 1-4 days because the original 3-4 days was just the ‘processing time’. Fast forward 10 days and I’ve had to email AGAIN asking where my refund is. My bank can’t even see a refund pending. Super disappointed and won’t be back.

The order was placed in plenty of time for a Christmas delivery but wasn't dispatched until around 22-23 Dec, missing Christmas. When I called multipled times and was told they would come back to me with an update, they didn't. A very poor experience indeed.

Items took almost 3 weeks to leave the warehouse then when it all arrived items were not in packages and missing items I called them which we got told to email pictures but never heard back was definitely a shame only decent thing was customer service was nice on the phone however it didn’t help our situation

I bought a 80mm towball online back on the 4th of November specifically to mount a bike rack for the upcoming xmas camping trip. After hearing nothing for a few weeks I checked online and noticed the order was still yet to be picked. I then contacted customer service and the guy was helpful, letting me know the item was on backorder and due in a weeks time and would I still like to proceed. I said yes i would wait. The item was then shipped on the 6th of Dec and arrived on the 13th of Dec. HOWEVER, the item delivered was a standard 62mm towball not the 80mm one I specifically needed. I then emailed customer service again, but have yet to recieve a reply. Long story short, no bikes at camping this year. Booo.

I ordered these parts in November and received an email shortly after saying they had been dispatched When they didn't arrive I sent a further email and was then informed that they were not in stock and are expected the following day and would be dispatched. They had still not been received by Jan 4th so sent another email and am waiting for a reply. Very disappointed as I could have bought these parts somewhere else.

The initial experience was ok , delivery was slow but got here , the discovery of a missing component has been below average , I spoke to your team , sent the relevant photos asked for & have heard nothing since . So my experience on a whole ? Not a happy camper !
