About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

What parts. Had a toilet cassette ordered for two months. You said they were on order. I requested my money back and ordered one elsewhere and had it eight days later.

I have a warranty problem with a product. I notified them Friday last week, till now I have not had a response.

Probably my worst online retail experience. Goods were as expected… once they finally arrived. Several dispatch delays requiring many phone calls on my part to follow up then incorrect items sent. Good gear, however I don’t plan to shop with them again.

Ordered a Fiamma fan. After about 10 days i received another customers order. Over 3 phone calls across 3 weeks i received 3 conflicting pieces of advice on there returns policy although there fault, i justed wanted my correct order. Custom service manager finally got in touch, called me a liar before reviewing taped phone calls. He then called back and said i was right, their staff stuffed up on multiple occasions. No apology, just send wrong order back before we send your order. Pathetic customer service, never buy from them again. Steer clear.

Very disappointed with the time it took for them to not only process my order, but for it actually to leave the warehouse. When asking for tracking updates my emails were not replied to. Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend:((

Order placed 16th October took 3 weeks to show up, got here and been opened prior and did not work, returned on the 5th November now the 22nd November still no replacement being received or any other feedback since sending back. Pretty disappointed to be honest, pretty good chance I wouldn't be shopping here again.

I ordered a mattress and they sent a chair. Refused to send mattress unless I sent chair back. Refused to refund money unless I destroyed the chair. What a joke.

Sad service. Ordered a tent on the 5/11 and wasn’t despatched till the 15/11 and only after I emailed to enquire the whereabouts of the item, as the tracking number supplied on 5/11 wasn’t coming up on the couriers tracking site. Need to perform better if you want to retain customers.

Worst service ever, well spent over $1000 and it took 4 weeks for you guys to send goods from Brisbane to Perth, and ended up wrong. Will not buy anything else from you guys again and would not recommend to anyone.

Ordered Clearview mirrors, paid in full, never advised they were not in stock when I ordered. I had to wait a month for them to come into stock. If looking to buy from this company make sure product is in stock.

Will never buy anything from you again, 2 weeks still haven't received like everything else I've bought from you takes weeks and just get lies when I ring to question where my order is. Will be posting on numerous camping and 4wd sites not to buy from this company

A terrible customer experience! I ordered 3 yabby nets from this company. I waited 2 weeks and hadn't received an order update. I then emailed customer support asking when the order would be dispatched. They advised they didn't have stock (even though it was advertised as in stock). I said if it wasn't dispatched by the end of the 3rd week i wanted a refund. I followed up again at the end of the 3rd week and they said it was arriving at 4pm the next day. This didn't happen and I said refund me this is crazy. Have a look at the reviews doing the rounds... Working in their customer service team must be a total nightmare...

I’ve purchased a tow bar hitch on 23/9 and it’s arrived late I’ve posted back to the store and it’s nearly a month waiting for the refund.

Sent wrong order ,they did pay for the return. Then I got sorry, your item is sold out but we'll notify you when it's back in stock. A few weeks later I got a message saying your item is back in stock and we'll send it to you shortly. A week later I asked when it was getting sent only to be told it was out of stock again but we can give you a refund . I took the refund and now avoid anything from outback equipment.

Good morning I purchased an item instore rather than online as I was unsure if it would fit our new vehicle so wanted to be able to return it if it was not suitable. The item did not fit our vehicle so when I went to return it to your store I was told that I could not get a refund only a credit. So no I am not happy with the service from your company.

Bought a product. After 10 days and not receiving it called to find out what was happening. Was told it was to be dispatched the next day. After another two day and not receiving tracking notification I called again. Spoke to someone else. Turns out they didn’t have item in stock. Ended up taking 28 days to receive after ordering.
