About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Site says 1-3days. Expect 5-7days, plus postage is slow as hell. Shipped 28/4 and still hasn’t arrived. Don’t advertise specials if you can’t even keep up with normal everyday orders. Paid express for my last shipment so it would arrive when the delayed shipment finally arrives…. $$”

“Guys unfortunately I don’t have much nice to say so will keep it civil. But from the word go horrible experience, no communication on the product not being in stock. No communication to sort out a replacement or a different product. No communication about my refund. So I’m thinking you can see the pattern that you guys really need to communicate with your customers as that’s the key to everything. Cheers Richard And yes I would never deal with ya again and yes I have spread the word far and wide for that reason.”

“I placed my order on the 26/2, 9/3 was notified one of my items was out of stock. Not having received any other communication 2 weeks later I followed up and had to ask for my order to be sent without the missing item. I then received my order on the 21/3 but was missing a part. Rung again, they were very sorry but then needed to ring a week later to find out what was happening. After several conversations and emails, I then finally received notification that the last item was dispatched on the 12/4. Each time Items were sent, it took nearly a week for the items to arrive, even though I am 20 mins away from the warehouse. The items I purchased could have been sourced anywhere, but I wanted to support local. Will not purchase from Outback Equipment again - my experience was frustrating.”

“Received junk, used Wolfpack boxes covered with soil and boxes have no BOAG sign on them. Paid around $260 for four boxes. I am not expecting them to send another set of four new boxes, if they did it will be great. I won't buy again from this Outback Equipment online store.”

“Trying to contact Outback Equipment if you have a question about the product you have paid for is impossible! They tell you on the phone they are busy and then tell you to ring back another time. Won't be purchasing again from this company.”

“Out back sold faulty,gas burner, To get replaced or exchange is a nightmare, Forget it they exchange policy is let customer suffer. It is been weeks now they are still going on with exchange issues, so take risk and buy from them..”

“Worst management, and ordering system in Australia. Work on your systems, You cannot generate a shipping label, and then tell your customer that it’s shipped, and you don’t even have the items in stock.”

“They sold me a water gauge that requires a connector but they don't sell the right connector. Took me days driving everywhere to find one. Poor service and they never answer their phones. Not shopping there again.”

“That was good but the only concern was they didn't tell is we need a switch for the compressor, they tell us really sure that the compression would turn off automatic but doesn't”
