About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I Would not recommend Them ,Outback has Very Slow deliverys ,no communication on deliverys services,As soon as purchase you are bombarded by emails advertising other products, but nothing on the order . ITs Funny I made many other orders on the same day many from over seas companies all arrived within 14 days . the wait its not worth any of their offers .”

“Absolutely appaled, bought unit and came cracked and not working get ghosted for weeks with no reply then expect me to have a printer to print return labels,would not shop with this company again dodgy as”

“Unfortunately, the Item took 5 weeks to be delivered. It had to go to New Zealand. However, it had not even left Australia for the first 4 weeks! Purchased 2nd Dec, arrived 9th January.”

“Ordered on the 6th of Dec as it was stated on the site I would receive it before Christmas. After not receiving it getting close to Christmas I contacted you and was informed that stock was sold out - which wasn't indicated online - nor was I informed of the fact I'd be waiting and likely not get it before Christmas. Really poor form as the reason I went with uou was because it was in stock and available for a Christmas present.”

“Unfortunately I did not have a very good experience with Outback Equipment. My order was placed 4 weeks before Christmas as it was a gift for my son. I received no correspondence or updates concerning my order, so as it got closer to Christmas Day, I contacted your business to find out if I was going to receive it in time. I was told that it had been dispatched that very day ( what a coincidence!) I was also told that it should arrive in time for Christmas Day, which it did not. I could understand if the items had been out of stock or similar but I received no correspondence to inform me of this or any other supply issues. As a result, I did not have this gift for my son for Christmas and was very disappointed about this. I would not recommend Outback Equipment in the future.”

“Service was very poor. Took 2 weeks to get any notification of tracking. I made 3 phone calls to try find out what was going on before I went on holidays. Each time I called I was told they would have to call me back, never received a call back. In these calls I mentions that I would pick them up if they were at the factory etc. When I finally got onto someone who told me where they were, he said they had been posted 1hr ago. So I then had to organise someone to keep checking around home while I was away. Very bad experience”

“Worst company to deal with, EVER! They take your money and it’s only when you ring 3 weeks later they tell you it’s in transit but they don’t know where because the tracking number they promised before sale never happened. I ended up cancelling sale and had to lodge a Paypal dispute to get my $500 backs, which still took 6 weeks. I’m convinced they sell stuff they don’t have any stock of, it’s the third and last time for me now. I ordered the same product thru Camp Smart and got it in 3 days and it was cheaper. Camp Smart all the way!!!”

“Mirrors are complete garbage , vibration is so bad you can't see anything. I should have known better , mirrors that cheap are cheap for a reason , I also lashed out for express delivery only to not receive them for 3 1/2 weeks another waste of money and I would highly recommend spending some more hard earned and get something better , Do Not Buy !!!!!!!!;;”

“Atrocious. Website states a turnaround time of 2-3 business days, but my water tank took weeks to arrive after paying for express postage (as I needed it urgently). Was told I'd get a refund for the express postage, but nobody has processed a refund and nobody responds to my emails regarding this. I'll never use Outback Equipment again.”

“NO i am not happy!! I'm still waiting for a response from "Flynn" from the 10Th!!!! see below "Hello Flynn and thank you for your response the original of which never arrived (hence my frustration) Yes I have read your returns policy but it doesn’t seem to cover this scenario where the reason it is being returned is that your listing description is wrong and misleading so the fault is yours not mine. However I will comply with the requirements detailed below – I have the original box and packaging and the item is as new. I note in the returns policy that “…Outback Equipment will provide a Postage Paid label.” When an Item has to be returned through no fault of the customer and as that is the case here please provide me with such label so I can return it to you. Alternatively my local post office advise that postage will cost NZ$ 18.63 Untracked or NZ$ 44.00 tracked If you want me to use that option please transfer the amount to my bank account 12-3105-0016344-00 ASB bank Warkworth Auckland NZ Thank You Regards Bill"”
