About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

I placed an order on August 28th, paid in full. Items showing as in stock and it is now 15th September and my purchase has still not been posted much less received. NOT happy at all, will certainly NIT be recommending your business to anyone

Called in to see if I could get a replacemenr remote for my MM compressor as mine has never worked from Day one I was told by the guy on the front desk that the remote would have to be sent away. What a joke. I have purchased many big priced items from Outback in the past. However after this episode of poor after sales service I think I will be considering my options in the future Bill

I don’t mind paying for quality, and the product is great. It just doesn’t fit Yamaha outboards. I now own a very expensive paper weight.

Wake up you people I have not received this item. You were unable to provide it. Getting sick of receiving reviews for this item. Outback Equipment has given me a full refund. No more reviews unless you can provide this item

Unfortunately, it's not a good review at all. We received our order damaged & unusable. The quality of the product was so poor we did not want you to send us another poor quality replacement. A refund was sent to us less the shipping costs. So we ended up paying +/- $15 for nothing!!! Tx

Ordered a product with express shipping, which one would assume the client needs it fast, only to be told 4 days later after I contacted you, that it is unavailable for 3 weeks. Clearly no one pleas going to tell me though. Ashame, as we do affiliate marketing and I can’t market someone that does business that way.

I purchased a water pump on the friday and installed it on the saturday. By Saturday lunch time it had stopped working so I returned it on Monday only to be told that they couldn't replace it but it had to be sent off to the manufacturers to be evaluated as to whether it was faulty. I was given a 7 day turn around on the answer and in the meanwhile I had to purchase another pump to replace the faulty one. After numerous phone calls to Outback Equipment over a month and continuously being told that the person I needed to speak to was not available, I was finally given my refund for the faulty water pump (after threatening legal action).

Not happy we'll never buy from you again It's been over a month and still waiting for and still waiting for the rest of my delivery try to blame manufacturer not my problem

Back-up service was OK but the Product was falsely advertised as an incorrect size which cost me money in both directions due to Outback Equipment's incompetence in designating an SAE Thread size. Did not get the initial shipping cost refunded & lost on paying return shipping as well. Will never deal with these clowns again.

Bought the tuff terrain snorkel for my Pajero np 3.8 v6 and made it fit by a reputable mechanic that work on 4wds. Does not fit to the car, properly. Despite the Mechanic has followed the pattern perfectly though. No refund is possible obviously.

While the products they sell are good their customer service and inflexibility is poor. I will not be purchasing from this company again. I hope other customers dealings are better than mine.

I purchased a manual washing machine. The spin cycle didn't work. I called to return the item. I was told to hand spin my clothes then put them back into the machine. (Defeats the purpose) After a few phone calls I said I wanted to send it back as it was not as advertised. The delivery to me was $11 to send it back it cost me $29. I did get a refund but it was a costly experience for me and I will not be purchasing anything from Outback Equipment again.

I called and asked for the amperage of the heater. No one could give me a straight answer. I explained my max was 10 amp. Not getting help, i took a punt as the heater was for plugging into a 12V vehicle socket, and ordered the product. Plugged it in and in about 15 ssconds it blew the fuse. I left it at the camp ground with a note saying 'free'.

No notification goods were out of stock until I chased. Multiple promises to ship were never fulfilled. Got emails saying it had shipped when it hadn’t. Waited a huge amount of time and whilst i am ok with waiting, I don’t like being deceived. If customer service had been honest about it rather than telling me it had shipped when it hadn’t I would have been much happier.
