About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

I feel bad writing a poor review but the service experience was terrible. My items weren't shipped within the stated time and I had to try two different ways to contact OE to try and get a response let alone action. Thus my items arrived late and I think they would have been later if I hadn't kept chasing them up. The products purchased were great but I can't trust to purchase from this store again.

Service at counter is terrible. Too long a wait, staff chatting with customers. Was there to pick up a click and collect. Was there for about 20mins before I could pick up ONE cup.

Unfortunately both bladders leaked. I think they should be paying a bit more attention to quality control. Didn't have time to get anything sorted with outback equipment before the trip and ended up using 20ltr containers. It only took a couple of weeks for the refund to come through.

Bought a Shurflo pump. It came as ordered but was loosely packaged in a box with no bubble wrap or other protective filler. The box arrived crushed in transit. Paradoxically the box was marked fragile. My tip , especially with a $140 item is to pack it appropriately. NB the pump was not damaged and appears to be working.

Why did it.take two weeks for delivery Brisbane to my address on the Gold Coast distance of 77 kms

I would look over the messages and you can see my issue. I check if you had stock and whether your delivery times were held up over holiday season. Answer was yes we have stock and no delay to 5 day delivery. Then look at the automatic emails you sent me. A month without a car. Not sure what else I could have done before I handed over my credit card details To you. I got done. You have no idea the knock on effects from me taking your guys word for it. I checked by calling and still got done. Look at your auto email to me.

I ordered a part for my roof racks, I did express postage and it still didn't dispatch until atleast 1 whole week later as they didnt have it in stock, they shouldn't advertise they have stuff in stock if they don't

Mid February now and still waiting on parts ordered in September last year No one ever returns calls or answers emails Your customer relations is non responsive or non existent Yet I get emails on every show you are going to Very disappointed, will probably sell my T4 now and bye some thing from a company that has after sales service which track clearly don’t.

Where to start! Product supplied did not fit my car. Spent a week in panel repairs sorting it out and getting from another supplier. Spent hours on customer support lines trying to sort refund for wrong part. Still not resolved. In a nutshell, bad initial advice, woeful customer service. Hopeless support. Will never ever shop at Outdoor Epuipment again.

Was sent all the wrong fitting items. Seat covers did not fit a Dmax 21 and the dash mate is too big and does not fit either.

From placing the phone order and getting that wrong to getting sold second-hand stuff that was rejected for return/exchange I will not buy from them again.

Terrible. Do not answer phone. Do not return voicemail. Do not reply to email and then they cancel order. Could they be any worse? ZERO stars.

2 months has passed and I still haven’t received my item , tried calling both Aramex and outback equipment and they still can’t tell me when it’s going to be delivered
