About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Communication very poor. Tried to make contact about my order as I had heard nothing about delivery after my payment. I tried to ring, email & Facebook messenge. Ended up getting a refund after going through PayPal complaints.

Placed my order between Xmas and new year as there was no indication on your website or in phone phone prompts that you were closed. No order confirmation received. Numerous emails/calls and promised dispatched dates broken. Happy with product when finally received over a month after order placed.

The web site does not tell you if the item you are interested in is actually in stock. If you do go ahead and purchase it there is still no indication whether or not it is in stock. After 5 days I requested an update on the status of my order. Still no indication that the item was not in stock. Only a message to say orders are dispatched 3 to 5 business days after receipt of order. After 5 weeks I finally got a message to say they were out of stock and I would be notified when it was dispatched. Item was finally dispatched on 31 jan. a full 48 days after ordering. I will never order anything from you again.

I ordered an inverter that had come on special. I paid express shipping on the item only to find out a week later that the company had no stock of the item and it probably wouldn’t have for another few days and then once stock came in the item wouldn’t be shipped until the day after that. This is disgusting you took my money for express postage but never bothered to let me know there was no stock. If you don’t have stock put preorder on the order site so we at least know we have to wait. Never even offered a refund for the postage once I rang a week in to check on the order and why it was still on pick.

I recently made a purchase of an item in stock. I fully paid for the item and two days later received an email stating there was actually nil stock and that there was no indication as to when the stock on order would be arriving. I asked for a refund and the process of the refund took 1 month. When I received the refund, the amount was incorrect. Just be aware that this company had no integrity.

I ordered a set of filters for my prado in about October last year and they didn't turn up so upon ringing I was told you were waiting on a particular filter and would be sending next week anyway to cut it short I ended up asking for my money back in January this year..very poor service and will never use you again

I ordered a 300 W solar panel and looking at the output. It’s nowhere near that it’s doing the job but I’m not 100% happy with it and if it advertised at 300 W it should be 300 W.

Gas fitting out of stock but they took my money anyway. No indication on the website that it was 'out of stock'. Two months later: nothing delivered; refund requested but ignored; customer assistance gone all quiet. And now they ask me for a review! - well there it is.

I would never buy anything from this place ever again. Constantly misled about shipping times. Took almost 3 weeks to actually ship the item

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! Unable to deliver product in a timely manner. Poor communication from this company. Ignored at least 10 attempts at communication. I will never shop with Outback Equipment ever again!!!!!! Sorry guys very disappointed!

Took way too long to dispatch order, 8 days just to print the picking slip, and another 6 days to pick, pack and dispatch the order.

Parcel took over 1 month to arrive due to dispatch and delivery issues. Too late for my camping trip. Luckily, when I saw that you were using Couriersplease for the first order I changed the balance of my order to another supplier (re. solar panels, battery, hot war system and other items) - which all arrived in plenty of time. If you insist on using a disreputable courier then your product range and prices become irrelevant. You simply can't deliver and the customer is left to deal with the BS.
