About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

I found the service at outback equipment very poor. They took my order and I subsequently found out that the items out stock and it took me over 2 months to get the item.

Return policy is too harsh for an online shop. If you order a product and its unsuitable, having to fight for a refund is unacceptable. A store credit is not what you want when you return an item. (It's expensive returning via post or courier so your customers dont do this lightly) I will not deal in future with your store until you adopt a more reasonable return policy.

Wrong product sent, photo did not match seat cover vehicle. Called landline 6 times, left 6 messages with my details as instructed and never heard from anyone at the company. I assume it is a strategy to avoid refunds within 30 days. Refund never occurred

If I am truly honest with my feedback, then I have to say this has been the worst experience I have had with an online retailer. 6 weeks on and I still dont have my order. You have sent the incorrect package, but yet refuse to send the correct one or offer a refund until the incorrect package is returned and it is still at my house waiting to be picked up. I have contacted Outback 4 times to sort this and every time I am promised that someone will contact me to arrange pickup. 6 weeks on and still nothing. I will never be doing business with you in the future and I will recommending to others the same.

It took nearly a month to get what I ordered. Every time I rang to see where my goods were I was told a different lie. Extremely unprofessional Never again!☹️

I have waited 6 weeks for my order to arrive and it has still not come. Quite hard to get a hold of anyone, tracking on the product ambiguous and only had one email that showed someone was at last looking into where my order has gone.

Your Web Site is NOT Working - tried several times to add additional orders for additional items - your web site will no longer accept transactions - called your staff - all too hard - so guess what - i went somewhere else - and I will never come back again - you lost a good customer because your system is faulty and your staff were not able too / not capable of even doing a manual order or calling me back - please do not contact me again - you lost me...

I have requested a refund as you don't even have the item and no tracking info after 10 days. Not the first time either, so you have lost my trade. Very poor service and phone calls not answered.

Terrible service, worse overall experience. Spend extra if you need to and purchase elsewhere to save yourself the headache of dealing with this place.

Ordered 3 carefree awnings for my motorhome home was told i would receive them before my planed trip they didn’t arrive on time. When they eventually did arrive they had no fitting hardware included this was not explained nor apparent at time of ordering I had to pay extra for the hardware and delivery. Very disappointed with this. Would not recommend outback to anyone else. Owen 0414 538339

Ordered item was over sold, no correspondence to inform of this, only found out after chasing it up weeks later. Should have been refunded not left waiting further.

Terrible company to deal with. No communication. My order took far too long to arrive and was only dealt with when I threatened fair trading action. I will never buy from Outback Equipment again.

The item I brought was out of stock ( it was showing as in stock on the website). I Was contacted and offered a replacement which I agreed to. The replacement never arrived and I have never received a refund. I have since brought the item elsewhere.

The order was not delivered for weeks. Tried multiple times to contact Outback Equipment via phone (unable to get through after waiting and waiting) and website (no replies). The order was only delivered after we lodged an investigation with the bank.

I have complained via phone and email twice but still no response. I have a faulty product that no one wants to discuss with me I’ve sent photos, copies of receipt etc but stilll no contact.

First it takes a week to send it. Then it sits in their warehouse for 2 more days waiting to be picked up. After waiting over 2 weeks I cancel the order as Australia Post have misplaced it. But the cheap a..holes make you wait to get it back before you get a refund..for $32

Very little communication with me regarding low stock of the item I purchased. Ticket system does not and took multiple phone calls to resolve the issue.
