About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Don't know why I was asked to leave a review when I never even received the order. Understanding sometimes delays happen but I found there was a lack of updates with delays given order was placed nearly 2 months. I received one update after the order was placed for about a month which stated I would either receive my order or be notified if it would be any longer than 2 weeks. 3 weeks later and still no updates I then cancelled my order for a refund and to their credit, they were very quick to cancel and refund the order. Given I have seen many others with no issues I can understand delays and sometimes there are issues getting stock so I can't fault them for that. I probably just had but luck. But if they were better at communicating delays it is a lot easier to take and I would have either adjusted my order or stuck it out etc and rated them higher.

Every time I order it takes weeks to supply. I have ordered the same items from another vender after ordering from Outback Equipment and received the order weeks before they supply. Has happened with multiple orders.

Got sent the wrong parts, then waited 3 months for the correct stock to be sent. Updates kept saying, it’ll be sent next week…

Delivery time way too long Advised delivery would be delayed 1 week it was several and Lack of communication to update delivery delaying completion of the build

Goods were as ordered. Cost was good but delivery time is terrible and communication regarding delay was non existent. Unlikely to use you again unless reviews show dramatic improvement

Bought here because the items I wanted were a great price, probably should have paid a little extra at another store instead of Outback Equipment. Ordered my items, zero communication from company for 2 weeks after purchase, finally received an email saying my items are about to be dispatched. 1 week later I receive an email with tracking info. Delivery date passes, then I get an email a few days later saying my parcel cannot be delivered because my address is located in a non-serviceable area. This is absolutely something that I should have been told when I ordered, why allow my address to be put in at the checkout but Outback Equipment won't actually deliver it there? Thankfully a local courier managed to pick it up from their depot and deliver it, over a month after ordering. I will not be buying here again.

Hi, probably not the best first transaction, took nearly 5 days for you to ship the items and then spent a further 11 days sitting at the couriers depo in wa waiting to be delivered, I can get goods from overseas delivered quicker than from interstate?

I am losing count how many times I have had to wait on the line, be told ill be called back or that my items will be shipped. Still Waiting. The staff on the phone are nice but I'm still waiting here empty handed more than a month after the order was packed.

The website is very user friendly but you need to change freight companies.. my order to 6 weeks to arrive.

I was a little disappointed that it took30 days to arrive. Not sure it was the courier or OE Let’s blame Covid

The whole process was very disappointing. From the beginning, the freight cost was miscalculated which I then payed the extra costs. The pick up from the courier was somehow not processed accordingly which resulted in no movement of my item until I followed it up with an item location query. Then when delivery finally arrived over 5 weeks later it was only 1 of the 2 parcels. the second parcel then arriving another week later. Staff at Outback Equipment were fine to email and talk to but the system just failed in this instance.

From the time we went to the shop and ordered what we needed, and organised it to be sent to our address, it took about 3weeks. The order was right. I rang the shop and enquired about order and was told it's on its way. Then 2days later I get a message from the courier saying we will be picking up your order soon and then we will get it delivered, once we have it we will send a tracking number. Not sure who is telling the truth, but too long from order to receiving it. Disappointed

Bought the traveller anti flap kit and 2 of the brackets were missing. Have tried to contact Outback equipment but difficult. Not happy

Well I'm still waiting to find out if my pick up item is in. It's been since the 18 Jan 23. So going on 2-3 weeks now.

Mate the postage ls exactly what let you down lt took 5 weeks to receive my package. Also u had my name as wll wll so the post office dldnt want to hand over my package , definitely would not go through u guys again
