About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Bought a food grade water tank and all the bits to connect up -all in one place. Got a bit of advice on hoses from the team. Added filters and a tap . All worked out well no more buying drinking water it will pay for itself in the next trip to Mort island .”

“Took almost 2 weeks before I got a shipping number, when the package arrived there was no bubble wrap or extra cardboard just the shocks in the box, they were scratched and dirty”

“Products were fine, but dispatch times are just too long. I placed two different orders. Second one was 11 days from order to dispatch. First order was dispatched 21 days after ordering. Only part of it was shipped. The balance took a further 9 days to dispatch. My second order took 10 days from order to dispatch.”

“I bought the saucepan set for our caravan, the saucepans all pack inside each for space saver, 2 handles which are amazing, the plastic lids are great as well to put a saucepan into the fridge, they fit perfectly into a zipped up bag, I just love them”

“Shipping timeframes are very poorly managed. The timeframe advised on the website for items was not near close - took over a month for 1wk dispatch item. No updates provided. When we contacted support the only reply we got was “it will be on its way soon” no further contact at all. After waiting a month, 1 item arrived broken as it was simply wrapped in black plastic to ship - not boxed, no packaging/protection, it wasn’t an expensive item but honestly the wait time was ridiculous and after contacting support again the only offer was to return it for a refund or replacement….after the long wait time to get it why would I want to do that again! Really disappointed with the service and we won’t be buying from here again. Since our purchase we’ve spoken with a family member who had the same experience.”

“We recently purchased our first ever Caravan in late 2025. Since then we have made Outback Equipment our "Go To" for the purchase of all the accessories we have required. We found the online page easy to navigate and everything we have needed was available. Service has been exceptional as has speed of delivery and communication. We also dropped into the Brisbane store when in Qld on Xmas holidays and found the staff very helpful and friendly.”

“OE is typically really helpful, fast and deliver efficiently. On this occasion that was not the case, and my order took an exceptionally long time to receive . The reason was the supplier ran out of stock. This delayed me in getting what I needed to get the job done in time before a trip away, which in turn cost me extra to makeshift a setup in the interim. I lost what ever cost saving I made on the discounted price.”

“Very pour service. The Item was not in stock at the time I placed the order and only once I contacted Outback Equipment they informed me they were waiting for stock to arriveon the 19th and then the date provided passed with no notification. Only days after I was provided a tracking number. Essentially the whole process took neally a month. Very dispointed customer.”
