About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

The paint tin I received was bent, and when I opened it, it had rust around the top, the paint was still ok though. The aluminum vent was bent the corner. In general poorly packaged for postage. Too much effort to send back. Disappointed ☹️

Your method of using aust post is pathetic Other similar items we ordered the same day came two days later due courier We have been advised aust. Post will be delayed again I will be reluctant to purchase from you in the future Peter lyons

Have order from you in the past and you have being very prompt with getting order out and delivered, but this time it took you a week to process order and I have not received my purchase which is coming up to a month now.

Ordered MSA mirrors and they turned up in a reasonable time and are a good product but ordered a roof rack a few days later and have waited almost 4 weeks for delivery and no accurate tracking is provided.

Delivery took forever as did the reply to my multiple emails following up for some info on where my order was. Not very impressed at all!

the screws provided for the anti flap system were all bent so we had to go & buy some new screw very inconvenient only to then opened the support rafters & no screws provided so back to the shops to buy more screws product is great but would not buy from here again as i was only offered to be sent out some more screws seriously!

Ordered a throttle controller After waiting a week for delivery to The Gap Brisbane the wrong part was sent out. Part No on invoice was correct but part sent did not match

Ordered recovery boards which was showing instock at time. Unfortunately for reason they can’t explain they didn’t send them but happy took my money. It was only after I called regarding tracking information wasn’t available they told me these were returned to stock. This was to a Father’s Day present from the Kids that didn’t happen. No sorry or hey we can do this for you. Ultimately got refund a couple off days later.

Sent the wrong parts, didn’t really apologise, until I pushed the point of sending the right ones. Won’t send the right parts until they pick up the wrong parts, which is another week from when they dropped the wrong parts off. Why can’t they pick them up when they deliver the right parts? They don’t trust we will give them back! Nice customer penalty for your f$@k ups!

They took a long time to send out the order. About 3 weeks and that was only after I called and contacted them multiple times. Apparently one of the items I ordered online that said it was in stock was not and they didn’t contact me. I had to contact them multiple times before they said they can ship half of it and wait for the next part and ship that. I did that but then a month later I had to call them up again to see what’s happening with the order. They had stock but didn’t send it until after I spoke to them.

Products i ordered and received were good but im 100% sick and tired of sites listing products in stock that they dont actually have. This occurred several times on this website and phone calls to them resulted in the perosn admitting there was a good reason for this. The reason is simple, they dont want to have the money invested in carrying stock, so they show they have them and then rush to get them from the supplier. They hope that because you have already paid, you'll wait for them to get the stock in. Its extremely annoying and fraudulent. Especially if you have chosen to use them rather than someone else because you need the item immeidately, in my instance for my sons birthday. Its a poor reflection on a company if they have to lie about have items in stock. And dont believe its a "Computer Stock" issue, the employee on the phone confirmed it wasnt!

Very Very poor delivery time - ordered 27/7/21 arrived 16/8/21. Poor communication with your staff as they couldn’t do anything about it. It was all “COVID bla bla bla” Even with COVID it shouldn’t take that long to post something from QLD to Sydney NSW. Will think twice about buying from you guys again

Given that I’m still currently dueling with Toll for failing to deliver the actual platform of the rhino rack it’s hard to give a overly positive review. I know it’s not necessarily Outback Equipments fault but would recommend they use more competent freight carriers.
