About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I ordered a fiamma bike rack very early on a Monday morning and when it hadn’t arrived by Friday afternoon I rang them to find it’s whereabouts only to find it hadn’t left their warehouse! I was less than impressed”

“Delivery is very slooooow. Package arrived damaged whole in carton. Packaging had been opened and reseated as parts were in opened packaging and the installation instructions were missing (thank god for YouTube). Very disappointed won’t be using them in the future have cancelled email subscriptions from them.”

“Took 10 days to be delivered from Brisbane outlet to Gold Coast, when I called on day 7 for a tracking number they advised it was just put on the truck. Product is great though”

“I going away and I was inconvienced because you were unable to dispatch the item I ordered for roughly 3 weeks. I needed it for use while I was away. Your staff were very helpful, but it till still did not arrive in time for me to use the item. In the end I had to make provision for it to be delivered to a post office and complete declarations for an alternative person to collect it. Ray”

“Wrong part sent, wouldn’t answer phone and took three days to reply to an Urgent email. Took another 3 day’s to post out the correct part. Still waiting for it to arrive”

“I did just recently purchase the Xbar and i confirmed three times that it was the bar for the Cab chassis variant and was assured it was, once over the phone and then i confirmed by email and then again when i picked it up i was told it was the bar for cab chassis. I drove 2 hours to collect and then 2 hours home only to open the box to find the incorrect bar for my car, i had been given the tub version! Extremely frustrating experience, there was no offer to ship the correct bar to me and no real urgency or offer to collect the bar that is sitting in my garage that i have paid in full for that is the wrong one.”
