About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“The tailgate carrier was ok, but maybe a zipper will do better as I travel from Sydney to WA ningaloo area and took some dirt tracks. All dust got inside my carrier, overall it held up good and stay in place.”

“I had a good experience with Outback Equipment. They took my order and provided advice as to delivert timing as the rack wasnt in stock. Although the delivery came in 2 lots (no biggie) it arrived in a timly fashion and in tip top condition (considering the look od some freight i recieve). The store was easy to get hold of and they responded promptly to me requests for an update.”

“We received the EFS sides steps for a N80 Toyota Hilux and the communication about processng and delivery was great. However we were expecting unpainted tread plates, but arrived black (which was a happy bonus). This could be alleviated with better description or corrected pictures. The fitting instructions are garbage, what looked like a bunch of A4 pieces of papers, black and white instructions and images printed on a 2000's printer then faxed and copied again. This made it hard to determine correct bolts/ nuts for placements. I would of prefered a high res colour print out or a link to the colour PDF”
