About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

Fantastic fan covers when orderd was told they were in the wearhouse but found out later when they didn't arrive in the post they were in fact waiting for the maxie fan covers for the motorhome to come from supplier re the usa but they finely arrived 2 and half months later, staff were helpfull when i rang to enquire where the covers are and tried to smooth thing over as they are trained to do so after all of that they arrived in good condition well parceled fitted great

This company was prompt with my order and shipping was quick. I cannot comment on the 12volt trembler switch and low voltage battery protector yet as my 3-way fridge completely died before I had a chance to install the products. They seem robust and well made though.

I received my windscreen sun protector for my VW golf, i must say it is the best sun protector i have ever purchased. Strong and well made, very happy. I would highly recomment this product.

Was told my order would arrive in 5 days turned out it would take 3 months asked for a refund

Not a good experience item didn’t arrive many excuses very poor probably won’t have any other dealings with Outback Equipment, I suggest following the email trail on this , yes it as a training tool as a don’t do

You sent the wrong door handle which I returned on 10/2/2025 I have had NO correspondence since.. I will not be recommending your business to anyone

Outback have really good prices for name brands but delivery is always slow with no tracking information. Would be five stars if they could solve this issue. I always allow two weeks for delivery.

I ordered a replacement CruiseMaster D035 Boxed Dust Cap in early January. After some weeks and no notification from Outback I called them and waited 45mins for them to answer the call. Finally 2 weeks later I got my order, it was the wrong one. No one in the dispatch department checked to see it was the right part. Finally in late February I finally got the correct order. Extremely poor service and very poor customer service

Delivery is too late. I even cancelled it because it took more than 3 months. The price was cheaper than other sites.

I placed an order 15th Jan whcih I realise is likely a busy time, but when I hadn't heard anything at all, not even a picking noticed, by 22nd I reached out via email. The response came on the 24th that my order had been dispatched. Unfortunately when it arrived, a week later, it was incorrect. I had ordered a dash mat and throttle controller, but I received floor mats. As soon as I identified the error I notified Outback and they were quick to reply, apparently the throttle controller was not in stock and I would need to send photos of the item received to process the return. At this stage it was nearly three weeks after my order and the first time I was made aware of any stock issues. I re-laid this to the support person who was very kind and helpful and acknowledged my frustration, so I do appreciate that. There was some back and forth getting the return sorted and I had to send a photo of the return post receipt before my items would be sent, when I sent the photo I enquired again regarding stock and was told it should arrive soon. The following day, still not having an ETA on the controller I called to request a refund which was accepted and processed within 5 days. Overall the experience was very frustrating and the communications around the original order were effectively non-existent, however the support staff I dealt with (Dakota) was pleasant and understanding and was able to process things quickly so I would consider that part a good experience. If it had been identified that the items I was ordering could be low in stock or there might be a delay it would have greatly improved my experience.
