About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

I called and left details in the que before lunch yesterday, never heard back. I messaged on the site message yesterday before lunch as well. It ended up being quicker to drive to Acasia Ridge outlet to get service. The awning was not in stock, maybe in on Wednesday. Answers for below, phone and live chat. 24hrs+ Can't rate the customer service because they haven't called back. The young lady behind the counter was fine.

Ordered a bbq gas adapter. Took a couple of weeks to get here (Flinders Ranges) from Brisbane - ordered something else from another supplier in Brisbane and get that in 4 days- and the part ordered was different from what was online and I couldn't use it.

I was hoping that the hot water compartment was bigger. Otherwise great for a short black coffee. Great for travel or work.

I ordered a 50lt water tank that was advertised on sale complete with brackets. The tank arrived without the brackets. Consequently I have been unable to fit the tank. Being in WA it's not as if I can pop back to the store to rectify the problem.

Product was good but service was poor. I had to wait as they did not have it in stock - fair enough Told I was a priority when they got it in, took a couple of weeks to get it in stock I then saw it on their website available for sale so I rang them the next morning to see about mine and told "I will try to send it tomorrow", sent 2 days after I chased them up. If they had it on their website as now available and it would not have been put there the instant it came to the store, so obviously was not a priority. I would have thought that the morning I spoke to them they would try to get it out that afternoon.

The item I ordered took nearly 4 weeks to reach me. After many phone calls, they still could not give me a tracking number or any information as to where the item was.

If things are not in stock at time of purchase this needs to be mentioned on the website. I waited weeks longer than expected because of this as I had planned to click and collect next day. It has definitely put me off purchasing again.

Have always loved purchasing from outback equipment, however my latest purchase took 21 days to deliver a 1L bottle of aluminium cleaner 25km. 10 days business 11 days courier

Item was slightly damaged in package, probably not your fault. Rough handling by courier more likely.

Products supplied so far has been very good, the length of time taken to dispatch the products is unexceptionable poor. I liken it to a drop shipping supplier. It is for this reason I will only buy from this company if they are the only ones that can supply what I need.

Parcel tracking didnt, an inappropriate fitting was recommended that I had to return, guessing for store credit? I have had no reply other than my return had arrived & I would be advised. Can source what I need from hardware store.

My main problem with your company is trying to get Intouch with you I drove all the way up to Acacia Ridge from the Gold Coast, to collect an awning that I was told that it was going to be grey, by the person on the phone, only to get home & realised it was the wrong colour I continuously rang to be told ‘ring back at another time, I rang over 12 times, then I was told it would be delivered to your store on the Thursday before Easter only find out the following week that you had obviously closed for a week, so I missed out on my installation. The following week I rang for 3 days before I finally got through then I had to wait another 10 days before I got the call to say it had arrived. Then I had to drive back up there again to do the exchange at my expense! So after an excessive amount of phone calls & time wasted I won’t be rushing back to purchase from your company again One month on Im still waiting to have my awning installed
