“The first time I used PaperTrue, I was satisfied with the results. The second time they engaged two different people, one to do the first half and another the second. The two editors preferred two very different styles and made very different changes though all I wanted was proofreading. The first one added many errors to the paper and one also miscorrected terms used in my profession. It has been a nightmare to try to make the two halves consistent and remove the errors. Unfortunately, the version of track changes they use does not remove the editor's change if one does not accept it, so one must go back, correct and then remove the change. they offered to redo the paper but only if I waited a week. Their work is inconsistent, sometimes good and other times a nightmare.”

“assignment which was proofread and edited was poorly done, the whole meaning was change and did not make sense, the editor did not have a clue, I would not recommend agency to anyone, I was told the people selected to proofread work would be someone that has knowledge of the subject, that did not appear to be the case, as I had to rewrite assignment in order to have a pass, a total ripoff”

“I outsourced to them an academic paper. Their service has been unacceptable. The offered to revise again for free. I accepted and then I sent my paper to the journal. The journal's feedback was: "please, submit the paper to a native speaker to review severe errors in grammar, punctuations and word order". Also, I found miscorrections that changed the meaning of the original text. I asked for a refund, but I insisted that, at that moment, I could revise myself the text (the journal proposed main corrections). I never heard back from them.”

“USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I was faced with the unpleasant situation of having to complete my masters thesis whilst caring for my terminally ill father. Despite the extension granted I did not feel like my thesis was up to scratch and decided to pay out for a proof reading service. I chose Papertrue (despite being more expensive than competitors) because of the positive reviews and the apparently high standard of customer service. I received my edited document back and was astounded to find that there were still grammatical errors and the editor was clearly not a native speaker as there were grammatical errors in her comments. I complained and a second proof reading was offered free of charge and delivered within 48hrs which seemed fair. I then had a quick scan of the introduction and found there were STILL small errors!! Papertrue state: "all issues will be covered to ensure your document is error free, perfectly written and ready for submission" I can tell you now that this is not true. I then had 24hrs before the deadline and so worked on it all day and night going over it myself, which is what I wanted to avoid in the first place as this meant sacrificing time with my critically ill father. I have NEVER felt so stressed and unhappy in my life. I sent a follow up email to complain on 9/12/17 and STILL have had no reply. Essentially I paid £328 for no reason whatsoever and Papertrue have made no gesture to remedy this. Shocking service. I would say stay well away from this service, even if this is a rare occurrence and it was bad luck, trust me you do not want to be the one it happens to...”

“I had commissioned a proofreading work from them to be delivered in 11 days and paid £1,000 in advance. They extended this deadline to 30 days and I only found it out because I phoned them to ask what was the status of my work. I had then to cancel the job, but they would not refund me the money. I spent many hours of my time and energy, speaking to lawyers and trading standard office to ascertain what my rights and get my money back. I only recovered it because I proved to my credit card bank that they were the ones who breached the agreement. In this process I spoke to at least five people of Paper True, who claim their editors are all British, but none of them spoke English with a native accent. Moreover, I found out that the photos posted in their website, claiming to be editors, are also posted in a similar business website based in India. I am, to say the least disappointed and outraged by their lack of professionalism. I am not sure where all these positive reviews come from, but would advise caution before you hand your money to them. There are lots of other business in the same field who do not require advance payment.”

“Did not deliver in the period they gave, so it was useless to me. If it says done in 24 hours, don't count on it. I asked for a refund, and they wanted to give 20% back. Now they get to have fun with a lawsuit.”

“The worst ever experience. When discussing the turnaround time before I paid, guys in the chat room ensured to return my documents on the agreed time and even lured saying "custom delivery" on my urgent asking. However, without any excuse or notice, they returned my documents at the time after 5 hours later, which was already over my deadline. What was worse, the quality was very poor as well as they didn't care about customer's request. For example, regarding one of my asking for the extension of word count, they changed 'everyday' to 'every day'. It means that the editor is not professional. Moreover, I found myself several punctuation mistakes from the "edited" documents. It is too much for even one star.”

“The editing quality was very poor. In fact the website says the expert in the area also will be able to provide feed back, which did not happen at all. Even the person who edited did seem to have any command on the language. Many mistakes even after editing. Will not try again and definitely will not recommend it to anyone either. Thanks for providing the opportunity to get the feed back.”
