BUYER BEWARE! I strongly urge you to save your time and money by finding a company other than PaperTrue to assist you with your editing/proofreading and book design needs. PaperTrue's lack of professionalism and unacceptable work product has been a major disappointment...If I am unable to save even one potential customer from wasting their valuable resources, then, the time taken to write and submit this review has been worth it.

As per our analysis, you placed an 'Editing & Proofreading' order with us on the 14 October 2019 followed by a 'Typesetting and Artwork Designing' order on 5 November 2019. I submitted two jobs, both around 1500 words for a total of 140 USD. I wasn't happy with the feed back on either; whoever edited the second submission was clearly not interested in reading what I submitted. Most of the edits were trivial and didn't seem to add much. Something Microsoft word would have suggested. I appreciate the correction in grammar, but what I was looking for (and specifically asked for) was advice on my writing. Was my argument coherent and did ever sentence contribute in a meaningfully way to my argument, etc.? Nothing like this is offered in the two jobs I submitted.

I am working on my dissertation and submitted chapters 3 and 4 to PaperTrue for editing (which cost almost $500). I provided them with my university's style guide, as well as informing them that I needed to use APA formatting. In chapter 3 I found the following errors: 1) heading done incorrectly for APA (running head & pg#) 2) period spacing changed to be incorrect for APA - changed from two to one space, adding thousands of unnecessary "errors" to wade through. 3) eight changed to 8, against APA formatting 4) extra paragraph spacing added between sections, expressly prohibited by the style guide and APA formatting 5) changed “research” a noun to “researches” a verb (p. 6) 6) comma placement changed, changing the intended meaning of the sentence, not making it more clear 7) Changed verb tense to present tense when the rest of the paragraph was written in past tense (should all be in past tense in a completed dissertation) 8 ) Most of the changes were either superficial (i.e. changing “also” to “additionally”) or changed the meaning of the sentence/paragraph. For example, in one of the paragraphs, a suggested change consisted of re-ordering sentences, separating two sentences that were connected with a “therefore”. The editor’s fix for that was to change the word “Therefore” to “Additionally” (one of his/her favorite words). 9) The editor added “Additionally” to the beginning of many sentences, even when there was no information earlier in the paragraph that it was adding to. (i.e.: “There were 16 questions designed to identify the alignment of an individual’s propositional knowledge with a biblical worldview. Worldviews answer life’s existential questions (Baumann, 2011; Sire, 2004).” The editor changed the second sentence to “Additionally, worldviews answer life’s …” That transition, one example of many that were added, doesn’t make sense here and takes away from the focus of the paragraph. 10) “In early adolescence, faith development occurs in large part because people begin to realize that good or bad things do not always happen to those who deserve it” changed to “In early adolescence, faith development significantly occurs because …” This proposed change completely changes the meaning of the sentence. The more I go through these edits, the more it seems like someone just did a search of specific word combinations to change. They don’t make sense. 11) Some wording changed to be less specific, the opposite of what should be advised in a dissertation (i.e.: “Seventeen questions were asked” changed to “As much as 17 questions were asked”).

Literally the WORST company for editing and proofreading! All they care about is easy money they can get from you. Worst customer service: endless lies, do not keep their promises, contradicting one another, give you NO cash back for huge mistakes they made, I have it ALL recorded and screenshot and it was sent to them. Lowest level of edit: 1. None of the editors changed a research projects name into capital letters! 2. Moreover, you fill up a form with your request and they IGNORE it. I demanded the most important thing for me- a UK editor and they sent it to a re-edit with an American one!! Without letting me know! 3. Those 2 did not read over the comments I asked for in the re-edit and just made a few cheap changes, so it will look like they had done something. The first re-edit literally edited over the first edits (meaning, the USA editor changed over what the UK editor changed) and that's it! How ridicules is that?! The company will not tell you, but even if you pay lots of money for proofing in short hours because you are in a rush (let's say 6 hours), and they did a lame editing or ask you some questions they want answers to (to shorten their work time) and you send it again- it can take 24 hours! Worst thing happened: look at the picture I added. After 4 MONTHS the Director of Customer Experience ignored me completely, he got the review in “SiteJabber” and wrote me the attached email. PaperTrue is trying to hide the negative reviews in the dirtiest ways. Moreover, he continued to ignore me 100% after I replied him 4 times asking for the invites needed for the two other review portals they use. I had to fight PaperTrue for over a month to get those invites. I will happily send you all emails and chats I had with them and you could see it yourself. omispt@gmail.com THIS IS A SHAME TO USE THEIR SERVICE! DO NOT DO IT!

Worst service, it almost took 6 days to correct my documents instead of three days , only the free sample was edited well, the later document was not well edited , I will never again use paper true!

Unprofessional services. Editing is done by bots and not human native speakers. I kept giving examples of terrible spelling and grammar mistakes and the automated customer service bot always answered that they will edit it again. Each time the text came even worse than the previous time. What a scam!

Are you a highschooler with rich parents, who wants to boost her paper a bit? May work (but be careful - they'll leave you with a bunch of grammatical mistakes, which your English teacher is unlikely to approve of. So you may not pass with flying colors). Are you a bit more advanced in your career? Steer clear. Language errors, coherence problems, advice you do not wish for. Quite a few hours of stress and additional work, which I had hoped to avoid. Never again.

I was expecting more than what I received. More suggestions were needed and examples to use. after the revision, I used my university writing center and they made more useful suggestions and help with sentence structure. I will not hire Paper True again

Working on a doctoral dissertation. Had very specific things I wanted them to do. They did not do them and I had to write to ask for my paper as it was late. They offered to re-do my paper and it will still incorrect. The doctoral committee will not accept the paper this way. I am very disappointed! They offered to do the paper a third time now. This is ridiculous. I am on a tight schedule and wished I had not used them.

Definitely not worth it! Can not recommend! I chose the 12 hours option、but it took more than 12 hours and even did not notice me anything about the delay. Moreover、my editor did not follow the reference rule、so I asked one of the CS staff and the person said that they can guarantee to revise it again until the deadline. However、when i emailed the request file as what the person told、the CS one suddenly changed again and the new one did know nothing...I needed to explain all of things again and the new one was like i need to check whether it can be possible or not on time、so will email me back about the possibility...As expected i could not to get any answer(even they will do it or not)、so just revised by myself and barely managed to hand it in on time. And The answer arrived the following day! It was just waste of my money and time a lot. If you had enough time、you should choose different one. Hope this review can help you make the right decision.

Your service didn't meet the dealine and the quality of the editing was so bad. It was simply corrected based on grammar but no touch on rewording and restructuring which I asked to focus. You didn't keep your words.

Overall the editing for the material was good (grammars- rewording) but the other staff (for example organizing the fotenotes- using some words out of my major - organizing the index) was poor and Unprofessional work Errors in receiving the documents(more than 3 times) and delays Although I have asked for the highest service and already paid a high amount And finally Ignorance for my complains, they did not even responded to the email complain ( I have placed the complain since December 11) and still no response.
