“I was waiting for a parcel that was due to be delivered on a Saturday morning, day that I specifically chose because I knew I would be at home. As I did not receive it, I tracked it and... surprise! It was apparently delivered to my neighbour because I "wasn't at home". My neighbour denied having received any parcel at all, so I called customer service after deciding to make an official complaint. When I stated that I find unacceptable that a parcel is delivered to someone else without my consent, the customer service staff member replied that it was not a reason good enough to complain. Well, if paying for an item that was delivered to someone else, if not being given any proper explanation and if this not being the first time that I have an issue with Parcelforce is not enough to complain, what else do I need?”
“i though that if you pay the premium to have a 24 hour service the item should be with you within 24 hours? it would appear that they only stand by the 24 hour service once they have collected it, it can take them 4 days to collect it but they still didn't offer me a refund.
dont bother with parcel force thay are bunch of w*******!”
“Twice now I have expected a parcel to be delivered only to find the driver prefers to just send a "we tried to deliver" through the letter box. If they actually bothered to do their job they would find I actually was at home. Completely horrendous service.”
“Completely useless service. Paid extra for a delivery on a Saturday. Received text message to say my parcel would be delivered between 9-10am. Parcel did not arrive. Made 3 phone calls to parcel force and was unable to get information about when the parcel would be delivered. Waited in the flat until 1:30pm and received a text message to say delivery was attempted but no-one was in. Completely wrong. Now I'm being told nothing can be done until Monday. Will not be using you service again and expect to be refunded the Saturday delivery charge plus compensation for time wasted.”
“I find it very difficult to explain just how incompetent parcel force are. UK Customs received a priority parcel from USA. The parcel was sent for inspection. Parcel Force then received the parcel for delivery. When I discovered that UK Customs had inspected the parcel I felt that I would be lucky to receive the parcel with it's contents intact. I telephoned UK Customs and pleaded with them to take the parcel back and ensure it had been properly repacked and sealed and not just sent on with their usual disregard for the contents. They told me essentially of go away and there was no chance of this happening. It had taken be months to find a supplier of these products at the right price.
What happened then was beyond belief. First parcel force forgot to notify me of the charge and the item was placed on their vehicle for delivery and then taken off. The charge was paid immediately and since then I have waited in and telephoned parcel force repeatedly and written to their MD over what has been said to me.
I repeatedly phoned and not once has parcel force returned the calls or advised me where my parcel is. I have spent hours on hold and then having the Parcel Force employees just putting the phone down. I have been transferred randomly to people who have nothing to do with the matter. So shocking is their response that at times I have been taking to people who appear to think that they have small parts in a James Gagney gangster movie.
Not one single person has bothered to provide any kind of explanation of where the parcel is or whether it will be delivered at all. I have been treated with complete contempt as though actually delivering parcels was an optional extra. It so difficult to put in words as to how I have been treated. Beware.”
“Rubbish company. Was expecting a parcel, waited in all day. The parcel didn't turn up in the time slot.
Their excuse? The driver wasn't on his regular route and couldn't find the address. Pathetic. Shouldn't have a job as a delivery driver then.
I did tell Parcelforce it wasn't good enough but they didn't comment”
“Not deserving of even one star, this company is the pits. ! I dont quite understand how it survives as I and others it seems have had so many bad experiences with it and like others I will enquire when purchasing online, which courier the company uses...if it's this lot I'll take my business elsewhere. A recent delivery went off the tracking radar for days and calls to them at premium rate were cut off after 10/15 minutes, then I was lied to about what had happened. Miraculously tracking was up and running again once the retailer got involved and it was mentioned that it had been damaged. I got a full refund but wasted nearly 2 weeks and a company had my money for nothing in return...and I have to wait up to 5 days more before my refund reaches my account. The offhand, casual approach and obvious rough handling of things in their care are wholly unprofessional and I sincerely hope this shower go out of business before causing stress and frustration to any more poor unsuspecting members of the public. They are an utter disgrace. !”
“Absolutely abysmal service. The on line form refuses to accept my phone number as valid (it is and it also contains 11 digits AND starts with an 01/07 etc etc) You then contact them and they say they will respond shortly-guess what ??? THEY DONT!
If any firm says to me they will send via Parcelforce I will tell them I don't want the goods any more as Parcel Force are incapable of delivering or even remotely offering a service.
A garbage firm that I will have a champagne party about when they deservedly go bust”
“On Thursday 4th of February 2016, I placed a next day delivery Order with Dyson, on Saturday morning I received an email and a text from Parcelforce advising me to expect delivery between 08:23 and 09:23. When I had not received nor heard anything from them by Sunday evening I used the tracking function on the Parcelforce website and found they had a problem and it had been returned to the depot.
I believe the Flat number had been dropped in the communication between Dyson and Parcelforce.
On Monday morning I tried contacting Parcelforce but after waiting on the phone for more than 10 minutes I gave up and sent two messages from their website (giving their tracking number, my phone number, email and full address), I also contacted Dyson who said they could not contact Parcelforce.
By Monday evening I checked the website again and found they tried to deliver again on Monday and updated the tracker with the following comment "Address problem (insufficient address)", so I sent another message from their website with ALL my contact details.
By late morning Tuesday, I had not received any form of communication from Parcelforce. I then contact Dyson who this time could contact Parcelforce and said the delivery will be rescheduled for Wednesday.
I cannot understand firstly how a company offers the option to receive communication but cannot respond to any of this communication. Secondly how they have the proven ability to send emails and text messages advising of Delivery but when there is a problem choose not to try to resolve the problem using any of these forms of communication but rather to keep attempting to deliver without resolving the problem.
I have now cancelled the order, who needs a vacuum cleaner anyway..”
“Awful customer service. Paid for next day delivery, didn't receive on the day I was supposed to and said that they would deliver today. Parcel tracker said that they had attempted to deliver the parcel but that was a clear lie as I had been waiting in for it all day and they didn't even bother to leave a card. Tried to contact the depot which it came from with no response, kept on being redirected to different depots and to top it off the number I've had to contact FOUR times today is a number you have to PAY for to ring! Absolutely disgusted at the level of service or should I say lack of. Still waiting to be contacted back woth some useful information. PittifuI. I will be expected the money I payed for delivery and also the money spent on the phone calls.”
“I had a parcel sent out on Thursday via express 48, it didn't arrive here until yesterday (tuesday). express 48 is NOT a 48 hour service, the delivery driver didn't leave a card through the door and didn't even bother to knock the door, 'delivery attempted' was on the tracking info.
I had to phone parcelforce and get them to phone the delivery driver, they said they'd call back....but they didn't.
The driver turned up later on with the parcel and said that he had knocked the door several times (which he didn't) the staff on the phone are very blunt and aren't professional at all. Suprised my parcel arrived in one piece with the terrible service they gave me.
I'll be using a different courier next time.”
“The worst courier ever! Have waited in a full day and for some crazy reason Parcel Force have decided to split my 3 parcels up so i am waiting on 3 different deliveries from 3 seperate drivers coming from the same warehouse!! Its ridiculous i would never recommend them. Not the 1st bad experience ive had either.”
“Parcelforce used to be good until they were privatised, now they are as bad as yodel.
I ordered a shipment of books two weeks ago, they should have been delivered within a couple of days but the first order was damage to the point that they couldn't attempt a delivery. The retailer sent a second shipment, one out of the three packages has arrived (damaged) by the other two are missing.
Terrible, terrible service.
Well done Osbourne for ruining a once good service with privatisation! Great job!”
“There has been far too many times parcelforce have messed up my deliveries. Dumping the parcel with random neighbours is an issue, and I have clearly stated for them not to do this. But something may be wrong with the education of the drivers as they seem to miss this.
But my current delivery was sent to the wrong address twice as the parcelforce page cut off an extra number from my address, sending it to 1 instead of 12. So once this was discovered I called to sort things out and arrange another delivery, between the assistant and me, we agreed to send it to the local post office. Four days later there was still no sign of it (I was told it would be there the next day), so u called again. Turns out they knew all along that it was too big for the post office, so I have had to arrange another delivery to my address again. And the icing on the cake is that after the whole incident at the start, they still had not changed my address. Maybe too many numbers for them to get their head around, I do not know. But for future orders I will be making sure to never use this company again. If the website I am ordering from only offers this service then I will take my custom elsewhere”
“I'm amazed to see Parcelforce scores one good review. My own experience, it appears in common with many, is dreadful. They are incompetent and arrogant enough not to bother to reply to queries online to their How Can We Help desk (a cynical misnomer). In telephoning to find detail on my delayed parcel, the operator put the phone down on me. Nobody did anything to help with my query - which was where my parcel was and when it would get to me. It was sent 24 Express and took 6 days to arrive - without any explanation or apology, or indeed refund. They are a totally useless company and I cannot understand how they get the business. My parcel was actually sent via DHL from Germany to the UK, and landed up with Parcelforce. They should be avoided at all costs - but it's difficult if they're able somehow to grab stuff that wasn't even sent through them.”
“I wouldn't give a one's tar to this company! Completely rubbish!!! 48h service and I'm waiting one week now!! Contacted them 3 times and every time I am told different things. One guy sends me to another and still can NOT be sure if my parcel will ever be delivered! Unbelievable! AVOID!!!!”
“Just to let all users of Parcelforce know that on Monday 11th January 2016 I received what can only be call unique service, it surpassed my greatest of expectations, at 13:58 the delivery driver in his van raced up my road at speed, stopping at number 16 four doors from my house which is number 8 Eskdale Road (which is located in Whitburn not Amarillo, nor is it paved with yellow bricks, although my name is Yellowley but not Caplin) he jumped out and rang the bell (was it twice, I wonder) He received no answer so proceeded to the back garden where he found a shed (not a cabin in the woods) opening the door he threw the parcel in, writing out a card for number 16 to tell them their parcel had been delivered. He left racing down the road to………hopefully not to Perdition. We know all this because he was caught on CCTV. Well on Tuesday 12th January 2016 I duly noted that my parcel was recorded as been delivered, according to the tracking service. So I telephoned hoping not to be kept hanging on. I was answered by artificial intelligence at first but finally by a human. I was told that they would look into the case, the game was now afoot. The delivery driver was sent out to retrieve the errant parcel. He raced once again at top gear up my road at 14:07 to the door of number 16 (well 2 times 8 is 16) Shock, the occupants were out, the parcel was gone from the secure storage facility in the garden, where he had tossed it previously, he came to tell me at number 8 what he had done, and that he had left a note at number 16. I enquired as to why he had delivered my parcel there (which was correctly addressed, I am no relation to Carlotta Valdes, I began to fee a bout of vertigo) his answer “I had a bad day yesterday”. Now started my almost impossible mission to obtain the parcel, by this time the Police had been informed, but they never became a keystone to the enquries. Well Mr Parcelforce driver you may have kept me on the run but at least the parcel was not doomed, the return to number 16 of the owners at 16:00 hours saw to the exchange and handover of the goods at the garden gate. All number 16 could say was I just do not believe it. So now we know that when we next order 1000 blow up dolls would all nearby residents look out for Batman and Robin and await an unexpected explosion. That’s all folks!”
“ordered from ebay, waited in for 2 days, got my phone number put on the parcel in case of complications, got the tracking number, said that 2 attempted deliveries had been attempted. impossible, i had been indoors for 2 days, no knock, no card, no phone call. absoloutely abysmal service, avoid at all costs”
