“Hello i was a regular customer for the cacio e pepe pasta its my favourite but now youve put lemon in the dish theres a lemon taste and it ruins the whole dish. Pleaae can you keep it with no lemon”

“Over £30 for two extra large pasta dishes - all I got was a lot of pasta and a spoonful of sauce - the tiny bit of sauce was nice unfortunately it hardly even coated the pasta - rip off”

“Always the best and fresh pasta!! When I ordered in today for a quick lunch before work and got a very sweet surprise, a lovely piece of pistachio cake! 😋 And with a caring note as well😻 This just proves a small step can make a person's day🤩”

“This is the second time we've ordered a delivery order, first time via just eat, the 2nd time via deliveroo, both times they have botched the order and sent the wrong meals. They might be decent if you need to eat whilst staying at the hotel they're based out of in York, But now upon looking at other reviews I fully agree they are over priced for the portion sizes, (and that's if they can manage to get the order correct), We even paid extra for a supposedly larger portion just to end up with 2 wrong meals, missing side items and small portions on the 1 thing that was correct in the order. I gave forgiveness the first time.. maybe they were extra busy that day. But no 2 times via to different delivery apps. Either fire the chef, fire the prep person or get your sh!t together and get it flipping right.”

“Was due a delivery of fresh food on Tuesday 2nd Sept - informed that very morning it wasn't happening - with no explanation - just that it should arrive on 6th Sept instead - not much help if you've planned your meals for the week. Had to go shopping. Every email i have sent this week remains unanswered. Reviews online are atrocious i think they are going out of business. Going to initiate chargeback on my card.”

“MICROWAVED GARBAGE - AVOID. Ordered from the Edinburgh outlet which is 'delivery only' for some odd reason. Placed the order at 5:32pm then got a notification at 5:34pm saying our food was ready! Literally 2mins to make 2 pasta dishes, a focaccia and a garlic bread! How is that possible? I'll tell you how - it's precooked then stuck in the microwave! When it arrived the garlic bread and focaccia were cold (we had to reheat in the oven), the pieces of pasta in the two pasta dishes were a mixture of hard or overcooked, and the sauces were bland. Lesson learned. Will never be ordering from them again.”

“My wife and I received a £210 gift voucher for Pasta Evangelists from our son and daughter-in-law as a Christmas gift last December. We’ve had Italian food in many countries, including UK, Italy, Switzerland, and the US. Unfortunately, the food from Pasta Evangelists didn’t compare well with any of the restaurants we’ve visited over many years. For a start, the range of dishes is very limited. More importantly, several times substitutes were made with no forewarning or notification. To be fair, once we contacted Pasta Evangelists our account was credited appropriately, particularly when the substitute was unacceptable. So far as contact is concerned, I tried calling on several occasions and never once was able to speak to a person. A few of the dishes we ordered were good: particularly Tiramisù and Aubergine parmigiano. Others were simply inedible, such as macaroni and cheese which had a very strange flavour, probably due to the addition of “truffle”. As we came to the end of our credit an order simply didn’t arrive and, given the problems we’d experienced with substitutes, we decided not to make further orders even though our account was still in credit. I requested a refund which initially was agreed to but never materialised. Subsequently I was informed cash refunds were not company policy. To sum up, if you want quality Italian food either prepare it yourself or go to a good Italian restaurant, which most of them are. We certainly would not recommend Pasta Evangelists to anyone.”

“Hi,I ordered twice by them and the first time was everything ok. The second time a disaster. I ordered the deal but one pasta get one free but unfortunately only one item arrived. I thought it is unfortunate but a mistake is understandable as long as they sort it out. So I call the customer service and the catastrophe happened. A young girl called Katrina answered and she was the most arrogant, unprofessional,not wanting to help person I spoke to in a very long time. After a few discussions,yes discussions,she cut me off and sent me an email with a £15 voucher. Unbelievable. I would really like to tell her where this voucher can go but I am a gentleman. So the place is good but the customer service is disgraceful.”

“I am utterly disappointed to have been scammed! This morning, having ordered and paid two Grande (large) dishes, I have just received standard ones…I am looking forward to receiving some sort of compensation as this is mischievous and menacing act, making clients pay for a dish that does not fulfil the criteria in which they have paid for.”

“Delicious and home cooked Italian flavour . Was nice to have dinner delivered that was not soaked in grease. Food was beautifully presented, I think the best dressed takeaway food I’ve had. Only slight issue was the pasta in on of the dishes was not as al dente as I would’ve like Other than that, I definitely recommend this restaurant”

“The company's policy of refunding payment of missing items delivered is insulting. I was expecting to get 2 profiteroles , but only got one. Instead of getting a driver to deliver the other one, I was told that my only option is to get a refund which will take 7 working days to reach my account. Over the last fortnight I've ordered at least 4 times. The food is hit and miss: the first order was great, then the other orders just got worse. I'm happy that they're helping me to save money as I won't be ordering from pasta evangelists ever again. Erika”

“Every meal I've had from here has had absolutely no flavour. It has been the worst most bland pasta I have ever eaten. I just spent £40 on a meal from here not only is it over priced they can't even make a good carbonara. Carbonara is the most simple sauce in the world to make. You take eggs, grate Italian hard cheese into it and mix it up. Then you cook your pork cheek and garlic and then add your cooked pasta throw the raw egg and cheese in and mix it up for about ten seconds and you're done. They are using a tasteless premade sauce which I guarantee has never seen a real egg or cheese and then they throw some pancetta on top and that is the ONLY part of the food with any flavour. Every dish is the same. It is all tasteless and a waste of money. If you like pasta and you like flavour do not support this awful company.”
