“I was relieved to be able to ge5 the travel Insurance I require. The website was fine except that I had keep starting again to add a second condition. I prefer to speak to a call handler because I could ask questions like ‘would I be cheaper to book for two separate weeks rather than annual one. ‘How much extra does River Cruise cost.’. I certainly hope not to have to claim on my policy.”

Clearly, the availability of the insurance is to be welcomed. However it is a bit 'one size fits all,' with little provision for specific circumstances.
In situations where it is likely to have to activate the insurance, it would be helpful to have 'what do I do now' advice. Insurers underestimate the trauma and uncertainty that precedes the critical situations.”
