Dear potential customers: PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS Me, and my wife visited CURRYS/PC WORLD in Ashton-Under-Lyne on Tuesday the 19th December (19/12/23) My intention was to buy my kids there presents. They each wanted laptops and other various electrical items. Me and my wife had selected the Christmas presents for the children, got to the payment counter, paid on my card. I received text message from bank saying funds had been taken pretty much immediately. As we were gathering the Christmas presents together to leave the store, the CURRYS/PC WORLD representative explained that the system had crashed, and they couldn’t confirm payment, that we couldn’t take the presents we had just paid for. They then went on to explain that the money would be returned in the next 2-3 days to my account. I woke up this morning to the money moving from pending status in my account - to transferred to CURRYS/PC WORLD. Upon realising this, I went straight in to store today to get my children’s Christmas presents. I was told that they couldn’t give me the items I’d purchased, and that they would need to contact head office to confirm. They explained that this process would not conclude till at least the 27/12/23. This means my children do not have any gifts to open on Christmas Day. Me and my wife have worked all year, and saved to be able to buy our children these gifts. We now have no money to re-buy these gifts. I feel sick with it. I am desperately trying to get this rectified before Christmas Day. I am getting no help from anyone that I am communicating with. Can someone please contact me ASAP. My number is: 07955 808 230.

Very bad customer service. Order not arrived on time .Delay for more than 2 weeks but no one did any action. I bought I phone from Curry pc online and to collect from Currys store. No item arrived. Escalated for many times. No apology email /call .Not receiving items yet. They said they are investigating. It has been more than 2 weeks. Not receiving the items yet. Speechless their customer service. Are they doing their job properly. Decided not to buy any products from Curry PC.

I'm done with buying from Curry's PC World especially their shop in Harlow. Terrible customer service and the manager was less than interested in resolving the problem we had. Walking off instead of talking to me is just rude and blaming your staff member for only being on the till for a few days is an easy get out. I don't know what's worse. Rude or indifference! Had a similar bad experience at their Tottenham Branch a month ago when buying a laptop. I'll shop on Amazon next time.

I like to support local business so needing a sound bar I Visited Currys /PC World today in Truro to purchase one as i knew the one i wanted. There were quite a few members of staff standing around and just chatting.i approached one member of staff for assistance (he wasnt engaged in anything)) He sent me to the other end of the store to for me ask someone else, he wasn’t interested at all. Although the other shop assistant was pleasant he said the remote control on the sound bar was missing and that it was the last one in the store and therefore he could not demonstrate the sound. . He said that i could order online but i don’t anted one today. i found an alternative sound bar (twice the price) but that one was ex display so i asked that as it had been used for demonstration purposes whether there would be any discount? He asked another member of staff who abruptly replied NO! I then enquired about a gadget that would free up space on my apple iphone and he sent me to another staff member ( i think he was the store manager) he was quite abrupt saying there was no such thing!!i Feeling worthless and humiliated I left the store and will never return. Customer Service was absolutely disgusting and most of thevstaff members need smartening up! No wonder online shopping is the preferred method of shopping if you encounter such diabolical service! in the last couple of years we have purchased a 60” Sony Bravia tv , A Samsung American Fridge/Freezer an Automatic Washing Machine, an Oven, AND A Dyson Vacuum Cleaner .We consider ourselves loyal customers and cannot believe such low level of service,

terrible customer services when you have taken out a car plan for a tv and you cannot get to speak to someone from UK it is South Africa!!! on the phone for nearly an hour as cannot get Netflix needs to go in for repair - my son sorted it out when he got home!!!!!! disgusting customer services and not even English!

First thing I got when visiting your shops is a long haired bearded bloke say that if I wanted to buy anything I am too return to him and ask for service as all the shop assistants were busy. Not for me , and when all of your shops are shut and people buy from the internet this will be one of the reasons.

MUST READ!! MUST READ!!! I had to update from previous review, They replied to my bad review And told me to contact them which I did. This is the first bad review I did and later after this you will see the second part ! Where do I even begin really! grab a coffee as this is diabolical. I have given Pc World every chance for it not to get to this point. I would give minus 100 if I could that's how bad PC World is. I'm 38 and I once before had a problem with PC World when I was in my 20s but I thought they surly cant still be bad but omg they are even worse that I could possibly imagine. Hoped they improved! Anyone reading this I'm not one for complaining and I even work in retail and deal with complaints and situations so I'm fully aware that public can go a bit far but this is too much I have to write on here to warn anyone to NOT buy from pc world ever unless you want endless hassle. Here is my story! So the build up to xmas 2021 I wanted to buy a brand new HP Omen pc worth £1500 and I went into store to place this order as I wanted it for xmas day as it was a present. I paid £10 delivery for special delivery to get it on xmas eve all ready to wrap up for xmas! while I was working on xmas eve I get a nice message from Pc World saying as requested your delivery date has changed to the 29th!! I was shocked!! called DPD and had argument with them as they said I changed the delivery date!! what idiot would pay £10 for xmas delivery to then change it after xmas when the pc was a xmas present but the low educated person on the phone couldn't understand that. So off I went to the store to find out what was going on, to find my item was now being sent to me on the 29th and as you could imagine I was fuming as it was a xmas present, ruining my whole xmas. I asked for a refund of my £10 special delivery I never got!! I got told I should be able to get you the £10 refund Should!!! I think not!! like you will refund me that £10. I got no decent apology or anything and the lady even said this happened to her! After this I waited until the 29th to finally get my pc to open it and see they sent me a complete wrong pc!!! Next min the computer I did order online changed and it was updated to this pc I got sent so they advertised something online which I paid for and they must of known they didn't have it or had the details wrong so they sent me a different pc. They miss sold me and false advertised. After this I returned the computer to the shop and again no decent apology and I got refunded the pc money but no compensation when I asked. They said I can get compensation online after saying how disgusting this was. From there I went back and fourth with online chats and over the phone and giving them chance after chance as I will go to the ombudsman if not fixed. Pc world does not care and this went on so many times I've actually lost count, I've been hung up on and told they can give me £10 compensation!!! £10!!! that's my original special delivery money I paid for. in the end they said they will give me £50 and I just accepted even though I should have more as they were doing my head in. But!!! this money never arrived even after getting a ref code for it and I'm still waiting after more multiple calls and being told it will arrive in a few days and then a few weeks go by and still nothing!! Then I got hung up on again and I have been so patient and not raised my voice at them once. not my style to do that. so its now Feb the second and I went into the store and asked to speak to the store manager to fix or just give me £50. No can do they said I have to wait a further week!! to get a reply to an email he has now sent! I doubt I will hear anything. ADDED TO MY PREVIOUS BAD REVIEW! Above this is what I left in Google reviews and trust reviews so I will carry on with my on going situation as it’s now madness. So I never heard from anyone after the store manager left a email to important people he told me that will contact me. I had zero contact!! So I left left bad reviews and I had curry’s, pc world send messages on here to make out they care. I called this number they left and I get through to an automated system where eventually I spoke to a lady and I had to explain my situation for the 10th millionth time. Thought I would get somewhere and was promised I would get a call on Monday! 3 went past and past the day she said she would call. Never got this call so I called up and again I was promised to be called the next day and booked the day off so I don’t miss. They never called!! I called again every time I have to repeat my situation and I asked to spk to a manager. I was told I will see if I can find one. 20 mins I was on hold for the same person to tell me “my manager said I’m right” you can’t get a £50 gift cards. I’ve got photo evidence of pc world saying they will pay in my bank. I don’t want a gift card! Plus they broke the law FCA! I’m creating a Facebook page for customers like me to protest outside their shops

Had a very unpleasant unprofessional encounter with a salesperson called MOLLY on 25th/11 called in the store to enquire if a laptops bought on the 21st/11 had arrived in store as i was informed that it would be delivered to the store on 23rd/11 and I would receive an email for collection not only was she adamant that I must have recieve the email she even suggested it must be in my spam inbox but there wasn't one when I checked she then asked to checked the emails on my phone I asked to speak to a manager as I felt she was out of order asking to check my emails a female arrived at the till and was informed about the situation but instead of asking molly to leave as she kept interrupted she didn't she asked for my email address and checked and then informed me that an email has not been sent but didn't ask molly to apologise for her behaviour i felt humiliated as there was other shoppers in the queue molly eventually went and got my parcel I'm putting this out so people using currys at St John's outlet wolverhampton to avoid any dealing with her I for one will not be using that shop ever again.

This is the second time we have had a problem with aftersales on products that go wrong. bought an Apple Ipad just under two years ago and it then stopped working. Would not turn back on at all. We took it into store and they tried but could not get it to turn on. They advised us to take to an Apple store shop, we took it to a store and they booked us an appointment to do a diagnostic on it. After going back for the diagnostic they said it was a integrated fault and is not repairable and advised us to go back to Currys PC World. Went there the same day and they took details and said they have to email the out of warranty department and they will call us within 48 hours but then said it would be 7 days as busy. 9 days later had heard nothing so called store and a manager said he would look into it and call back after weekend on Monday. No call back yet again so went into store the next day and after them calling up the relevant department they said they had sent a letter out offering £124 odd part refund but can not do this now as no reply. We got no letter, they had mobile number and email to contact us and nothing was even said about them sending a letter. You do not expect an ipad to only last 23 months. They should be replacing it or cost of it against a new one. But yet again they pass you back and forth and waste our time. Will certainly not buy from them again.

Inexperienced staff, have no idea about a few simple questions in the Crwarley store. Customer 1st, train your staff properly. Or find some clever ones.

I bought a laptop recently and After couple week my son accidently spill milk on it. I gave computer to PC house for wash and repair in same day that accident happened. it was worked perfectly when i handover my laptop to PC home . After couple of week they returned it without doing anything and they said they don't have parts to repair it. they gave my laptop back but it was not in working condition. I bought this for payment plan and even I haven't started yet to pay.

Basically once they steal your money in an online transaction, they WILL hold it for the maximum amount to time they legally can, and will lie to you every day telling you that they dont have it, or have already sent it to you, or that you should talk to your bank about it. Actually thieves, do not use these jokers.

in December I bought a laptop and then decided that I would give it back to buy a more expensive one with better parameters and so far on April 30 I have not received a refund. every time I call the customer service office, I get information about the it problem and they will not be able to tell me when the money will be returned to me. One big disappointment

Purchased Norton anti virus in store , unable to install as card had incomplete number , help line said unable to help take it back to store , a 70 mile round trip as it was my fault for scratching the scratch card too hard

looked online before purchasing at store, was offered a one day 10% discount on any tech except mobile phones; drove 30 miles to select a MAC computer and was told the 10% was for any tech help only, setting up devices!!! what a waste of time. plus the computer was at a higher price £200 more than anywhere else on the web....a rip off and con artist - lost my business for good, gone to John Lewis instead

I lost my cool with Lori at PC World… I have had a problem with a new laptop which has never worked but keeps freezing after 10-15 mins... After a few calls, they took it away to repair and it was returned after a week. I checked it today only to find that the problem has not been fixed. I called the so called customer services and spoke to the rudest person (Lori), his solution to the problem was turn it on and off 3 times... and when I tried to explain that he has clearly not gone through the notes on their system and that this will not help me, he just kept repeating the same response over and over until I hung up, but would not give me the details of how to complain further. I had to call back, speak to someone else and arrange for the laptop to be picked up again. I would say to the manager of this person he is not providing customer services, but wasting everyone’s time, damaging your company reputation and costing you money.
