“The harness is great, felt that the customer service could have been a bit better and it would have been nice to have free returns”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you think that the customer service could have been better. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service, so we will certainly pass this feedback on. As we cover the cost of shipping out additional pieces for exchanges, send them out for free and do not ask for anything to be sent back until a customer is happy with the fit, we do usually ask the customer to cover the cost of returning any unwanted items, so that we can continue to offer this exceptional service. However, the most important thing to us is that your dog has a comfortable, well-fitting harness, so if there is a problem with this for any reason, we will certainly see what we can do for you. “Love the new harness. The dog lives if too. Very happy she now walks without pulling. Within one day. The only minor issue. Getting it on. If you printed number matches clip to clip 1. Clips to 1. 2.clips to 2. It would be easier to get the harness on. Just clip the numbers together.”

Thank you for your lovely feedback, Caroline. It is great to hear that you are a fan of the modular design 😊 We are sorry to hear that your pup has been chewing the harness. Due to this we usually recommend removing it when your pup is unsupervised. It is also important to note that we cannot recommend the harness for use in the car as it has not been crash tested.

“I'm happy with it but I'd like it to be a bit longer. I wanted to use it as a hands free lead, either fastened around my waist or cross body. I will be able to fasten it around my waist in summer, when I'm not wearing a bulky coat, but it's not long enough to use cross body without my dog risking getting kicked as we walk.”

“I'm using the large front and girth parts that you sent together with the small red part that we had. I think it's OK but I have a feeling that if there was a medium size red part it might be perfect. Regards John Skehel”

“This is my second Perfect Fit harness. These harnesses are excellent. They can be adjusted to achieve a 'perfect fit' , they are soft, comfortable and durable. The only reasons for not giving 5 starts are that they are a little expensive and also we found that the lowered straps needed to be stitched on each side nearer to the clip to stop then folding down and becoming uncomfortable. It is a simple job so all-in-all we are very happy.”

Thank you for your useful feedback, Richard. It is much appreciated 😊 The loose pieces of fleece are necessary to allow for the girth piece to be adjustable. Sometimes, if your dog has finished growing, it works to swap to the next girth size down so that you can tighten up the girth sufficiently to prevent the fleece from slipping out.

“So far so good. We purchased a harness a few months ago for our mini dachshund, he seems to prefer it to his over the head harness. We will see how it goes when we have to choose new parts for when he gets bigger. Definitely would recommend as it fits really well and is very durable and comfortable for my boy.”

Just drop us an email to: info@perfect-fit-dog-harness.com with a picture of your pup in the harness so that we can get a better idea of which pieces could do with changing up. We will then send you out some alternative pieces to try, free of charge. We just ask that you send us back any unwanted pieces once you are happy with the fit.

“GOOD MATERIALS, GOOD DESIGN SAFELY HOLDING DOG WITHOUT BEING UNCOMFORTABLE. NOT SURE THAT THE LEAD IS ALL THAT COMFORTABLE FOR THE OWNER TO HOLD, AS THE FABRIC EDGES ARE A BIT IRRITATING TO GRIP, MAYBE A ROUND PROFILE WOULD BE MORE PLEASANT?”

“Hi I recently purchased a Perfect Fit harness for my 5 month old puppy, Finn. I emailed for advice thinking I needed to order a 20mm L-S-L harness, based on his size/growth rate. You emailed back to say that I would need a 20mm M-S-L, so that is what I ordered. The harness arrived; it is great quality and comfy for my puppy, but it is almost at the full extent of adjustment already, so I will need to buy additional pieces very soon for it to fit correctly. I think I was right in thinking I needed a L-S-L in the first place. So I am a bit disappointed on advice given, as I will need to buy new larger parts quite soon.”

Thank you for your feedback, Kate. It might not be the top piece that needs replacing. We usually recommend that you upgrade either the front (Y) section or the girth piece before the top, as these have all the adjustment areas and will give you more growth room in the long-run. As puppies grow so fast, harnesses will always need to be upgraded but we always try to do it in the most cost-effective way possible, and we will definitely be able to advise you on this. We recommend to drop us an email with some pictures of your pup in the harness to: info@perfect-fit-dog-harness.com before replacing a section as we will be able to advise on the best way to proceed.

“Both our dogs have perfect fit harness’s and one matured so his harness got too tight so I needed to change one piece, puzzled what one I needed I emailed for advice, I had a reply from Lucy with the information I needed, I ordered, received it quickly and all is good. Thank you”
