“Delighted with my Rainbow harness. Purchased a Perfectfit harness 15yrs ago for previous dog, and it's still going, although a bit'threadbare'. Shame I couldn't get it from a local outlet, I recommend it to all my Dog Training classes. We have an excellent local pet shop(PK Pets Church Crookham Fleet Hants.) who are very experienced and knowledgeable, it would be great to have hands on service.”

“Fantastic quality and the only brand of harness that fits my boxer who has an incredibly deep chest but is petite elsewhere. I would give 5 stars if they fitted a handle at the back, like the Julius harnesses.”

“Decided to go for a perfect fit harness because my dog seems tense and thought that this type might help. Good fit nice cosy fleece for comfort around the webbing, and I found that it is not moving so much around the shoulders. Time will tell if it helps with her tress levels. Very satisfied with this product.”

“I have had perfect fit leads and harness for a number of years. The harness is perfect, but I am a bit disappointed with the lead, there is no handle loop to hold the lead on 2 meter length lead .”

Hi Beverley. Don;t worry, I can help with this! 😊 The 2m lead can be used in two ways. *You will notice that it has little metal loops all the way down its length. If using as a single lead, you can loop one end over to create a handle. *Alternatively, you can use it as a double ended lead attached to both the front and rear D-rings on the harness. This give you the ability to offer gentle guidance from the front during loose-lead training.

“It is a great harness, great fit and love the option to change any part I need. However, I wish the fleece on the girth piece was stitched all the way to the top, as right on top where fleece ends it moves to the side during the walk. I’ll stitch it myself, but this is a thought for the future.”

Thank you for leaving us your useful feedback, Zavile 🥰 We keep the edge of the fleece loose so that the girth strap can be adjusted. Just bare that in mind, if you do decide to put a stitch in it. You could also try tightening the girth strap a little.

“Bought 2 harnesses for lively Jack Russells. Pleased with the gift and although not a complete success, they have helped with the pulling. Like the fact that they don't not have to be put in over the head as they both dislike this. Feel safe too as they have several clips. I think they are both fully grown now but it's great to have the option of buying separate pieces to make the harness bigger or smaller.”

“Very well made harness, adjustable and easy to put on. Well-padded and strong to ensure that dog is protected and safe. However, my puppy still freezes and trembles when it goes on, even with lots of treats and playing. But, once she's out the house and on her walk, she's absolutely fine.”

“Love the new harness. The dog lives if too. Very happy she now walks without pulling. Within one day. The only minor issue. Getting it on. If you printed number matches clip to clip 1. Clips to 1. 2.clips to 2. It would be easier to get the harness on. Just clip the numbers together.”

Due to this we usually recommend removing it when your pup is unsupervised. It is also important to note that we cannot recommend the harness for use in the car as it has not been crash tested.

“I'm happy with it but I'd like it to be a bit longer. I wanted to use it as a hands free lead, either fastened around my waist or cross body. I will be able to fasten it around my waist in summer, when I'm not wearing a bulky coat, but it's not long enough to use cross body without my dog risking getting kicked as we walk.”

“I'm using the large front and girth parts that you sent together with the small red part that we had. I think it's OK but I have a feeling that if there was a medium size red part it might be perfect. Regards John Skehel”

“This is my second Perfect Fit harness. These harnesses are excellent. They can be adjusted to achieve a 'perfect fit' , they are soft, comfortable and durable. The only reasons for not giving 5 starts are that they are a little expensive and also we found that the lowered straps needed to be stitched on each side nearer to the clip to stop then folding down and becoming uncomfortable. It is a simple job so all-in-all we are very happy.”

Thank you for your useful feedback, Richard. It is much appreciated 😊 The loose pieces of fleece are necessary to allow for the girth piece to be adjustable. Sometimes, if your dog has finished growing, it works to swap to the next girth size down so that you can tighten up the girth sufficiently to prevent the fleece from slipping out.

“So far so good. We purchased a harness a few months ago for our mini dachshund, he seems to prefer it to his over the head harness. We will see how it goes when we have to choose new parts for when he gets bigger. Definitely would recommend as it fits really well and is very durable and comfortable for my boy.”
