“Plenty of help to get the perfect fit, lovely and soft and padded, washes well, very clever system of different bits that fit together. Under pressure I find it difficult to remember how to do it up....I have had one of the dog's legs on the wrong side somehow and only found out when she popped out of it. However, that is my fault, it is a good system and doesn't annoy the dog as it doesn't go over her head”

“I wanted to see a size guide on the website but couldn't find one and had to get in touch instead. Would be great if you would offer a service to have a phone number stitched into the top of the harness.”

Thank you for your review :) We have a sizing calculator on the website where you can enter your dog's details to get a size recommendation but I'm pleased to hear that we were able to help you over the phone instead. Thank you for your useful feedback regarding stitching our phone number on to the harness. We will certainly pass this idea on to the development team :)

“It’s the best fitting harness for my dog. Because it is sectional, you can interchange parts to make sure you get the “Perfect Fit”. My only slight niggle is with the girth piece. It could do with some extra stitching at the ends to keep the strap from riding up under my dogs shoulders as he is a very active chap.”

Thank you for your review, Rodger, it is much appreciated :) We are pleased to hear that you are a fan of the harness's modular design and the fit it has on your lovely, active boy. We think that we can see from the photos that you have room to lengthen the bottom of the front (Y) piece that goes between his front legs. Adjusting this out will move the harness back on his body and away from his front leg. You may need to tighten up the shoulder straps if you do this, too.

“The harness was received perfect and in good condition. Only paying the customs fees caused problems. Lots of spam from FedEx and UPS.”

“Dog happy with new harness although there is a tendency for rear strap to move to one side. This would be difficult to stop without making it too tight. The dog is perfectly secure in the harness which is comfortable to wear. The new harness replaces the first perfect fit one which lasted over 9 years.”

“Lovely soft harness & our Labrador puppy loves it. The instructions on how to adjust in 'five different places' would be of great help if they were included in the manual which it comes with.”

We love that your lovely little Lab is happy in their new harness :) Thank you for the feedback regarding putting the adjustment areas in the leaflet. We have recently started including a QR code in tot he package which takes you to our fitting video when scanned. We hope that this will be helpful when adjusting a new harness to fit your dog specifically.

“I couldn't get the harness size calculator on the website to work and online chat wasn't really helpful but phone call was answered and my query passed on. Once I had sent requested photos of my dog the size was suggested and on receiving my order I found that the harness did fit (perfectly).”

“I've only ever read good things about Perfect Fit so when my collar wearing miniature dachshund was struck down with IVDD and needed a good quality harness, I immediately thought of them. I'm not sure about my colour choice but it's a great harness and easy to put on one handed!”

“Love these but could do with the size 20 being a bit longer from neck to back (top piece) as the 40 is too chunky and the 20 is a bit short. Otherwise fine for my dog”

“Seems ok so far. The only complaint I have is the clips that secure everything together are extremely small. They are very difficult to open. With our last harness there was only one clip and it was huge. This meant putting it on and taking it off our dog took mere seconds. With the perfect fit harness it takes about 30 seconds to a full minute. This is partially due to the length of fur being quite long. But also the size of the clips and the pressure needed to release them is a bit much. We will give it another week or two and hopefully the clips will loosen up, we will get used to it or sadly I’ll have to return it.”

Thank you for your feedback, John. There is some crossover between the size ranges and most dogs will fit in to two size ranges. It is possible that your pup will fit in to the next size range up which has larger clips and slightly wider straps, which may suit you better. “Their customer service is fantastic unfortunately we could not get a front piece to fit. My little pup was too big for the tiny range but not quite big enough for the xxs, maybe I have a weird shape puppy 😂 I’ll try again in a few months”

Thank you for your feedback, Trudy. It is good to hear that the team looked after you well. We do have the option to try a 15mm base piece, which would give you a snugger fit than XXS front. We have contacted you directly to see if this is an option that you would like to explore :)
