So far unimpressed as I submitted several claims on September 1, 2023 and received an email on September 18, apologizing for the delay. It’s now October 2 and I still don’t have an update. My plan is set to renew on 11/15/23 and I’ve already been advised my rates have gone up and I wouldn’t be surprised if the system gets back to me after renewal.

Hi Bernadette, thank you for your time and feedback. Our Wellness Endorsements are a set schedule of benefits that are not subject to a deductible or co-pay. Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy would pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. Unfortunately, your pet may use up the benefits quickly depending on what your veterinarian charges for their services. Overall coverage is OK... Timing of handling claims is not very good, although I know that many businesses are struggling with staffing these days. My big problem with this company is that the calculation of deductibles and co-pays is inaccurate... a double dip to ME. That arithmetic leaves me confused and in disagreement. That is one reason that I will not be renewing my Pets Best policy after this policy year ends.

Rest assured, we’re continually focused on enhancing efficiency and reducing the time it takes to process claims. It is written into our newer underwriter’s Accident and Illness policy that we apply the Policyholder’s chosen Co-Insurance, minus the Policyholder’s chosen Deductible, up to the Annual Limit of the policy. What this means is, on an eligible Accident and Illness claim, we apply the Co-Insurance percentage first to all eligible line items, and then the Annual Deductible, and what’s remaining is the Reimbursement, up to the Annual Limit of the Policy. That’s because the Policyholder is responsible for the Co-Insurance percentage on the entire eligible invoice, even before meeting the Annual Deductible for the policy year. Had this insurance for about 4 years never had any issues until recently. I would not recommend this insurance to anyone. I had my son and others go with another company I will soon follow.

I have had no major claims have to had paid out but their turn around time to pay out claims is terrible. 30-45days is way to long. It’s longer than car insurance! I appealed a claim that took 40 days to process and it’s been 3 weeks and have not heard anything back.

PetsBest has good coverage and the process for submitting a claim is straightforward. The reason why I put 3 stars instead of 4/5 is because of the wait time to get reimbursed. Other than that PetsBest Insurance has been helpful.

I feel not everything was explained: "what is covered and not covered." I still feel I'm paying more out of my pocket, and I really don't see major savings. I wish I knew what I know now.

I started my care with Pets Best with my puppy. In the beginning I received reimbursement. I have not received reimbursement several times now and I am starting to feel like I’m wasting my money. I am hopeful that if I had an emergency they would help cover it.

The app is good, but it takes to long to get your invoices paid. However the customer service is good.

In the past they were very good at refunding your money in a timely manner, less than a week. But lately they been taking close to a month to refund your money. The customer service department was great when I used them 2 yrs ago. I do like having this insurance as it gives me peace of mind. I have a problem doggie that seam to have a lot of issues. They have covered her vet visits after my deductible has been met.

PetsBest needs to offer a credit card, allowing Families to cover the upfront cost in the case of an emergency.

To keep the additional premium for the Wellness Endorsements reasonable for our Policyholders, they are not designed to fully cover all your wellness needs, but to assist you with the financial burden of your pet’s annual wellness care by providing some reimbursement of what you paid to your veterinarian for their services.
