I traded my iPhone7 and got a quote of £170 which was better than most places. After I received the trade pack and sent my phone had to chase few times to find out what is going on as Hermes showed that the phone was delivered ages ago. When I finally got an over it was £131 which was obviously a lot less than the original one however I did not want to go through all the hassle with another company so accepted. After I chase numerous times Damon who seems the only person that replies to the queries on email said that they've had technical issues and unable to process any payment. Hence why I asked to have my phone back in this case. I didn’t receive the money or phone for another 2 weeks so chased again and he finally transferred £65 which looked like it came from his personal account and said that the rest will follow. 2 weeks on and I’ve not received anything. Very poor and disappointing communication, service and experience! STAY AWAY!!!!

I would like to award no stars if possible as this company has taken my phone and not sent payment. Initially they denied receiving it and we had to produce a tracking number as proof. Then they offered us much less money than promised as they said the camera lens was damaged. We disagreed but like other customers felt if the phone was ever returned it most certainly would be damaged by the time we received back. On accepting the lower sum of money we were told the payment would arrive soon in our bank and three weeks later it has not been done. Unsurprisingly Damon is not responding to emails. We are following the steps advised by Trading Standards and BBC Watchdog and I urge all other customers who have been ripped off to do the same.

Extremely disappointed! It's been a month since I sent my phone and there were so many excuses why I haven't been paid yet. So many lies told by Damon. First he said they don't have my phone, but after sending him the tracking number he found it. Then came up that my mint condition phone has a broken lens (no way this happened during transportation as more possible is to brake the display that is facing up, than breaking the lens). They said they sent me photos to confirm the broken lens which I never received. Asked me to return this broken phone to me if I want, but I refused as how can I be sure they are not going to break the display now and send it back. So accepted the shitty offer and then Damon told me several times he paid me when he didn't. Sent him screenshots of my bank statement where clearly shown he didn't pay anything. After at least 40 emails he said "I will send a smaller payment and see if that works.", what kind of businessman can't make a f**** bank transfer??? At the end got £50 for my £200 phone and it's been a week since he keeps telling me the payment will be done and nothing more has been paid. If I don't see the money in my bank account on Monday morning (18.11.2019) I will report the phone for stolen and I'm going to report to Action Fraud, going to make a complaint to Trading Standards and also submit an application to the County Court and progress a civil claim against Damon and will seek "damages" as a result (i.e. money back to cover any consequential losses I have suffered).

Very disappointed with Damon and the family run business! Timeline: 17/10/2019 - Orders 378778 & 378760 created for Iphone 7 & Samsung Galaxy S7 04/11/2019 - Polite email chaser from Damon - very impressed - replied and further response stating no problem - the guy sounded decent and I was happy to give my custom 06/11/2019 - Phones posted 11/11/2019 - Phones received - SIGNED FOR at destination! 14/11/2019 - Email to query update unable to be sent - further enqs reveal website suspended Call me cynical but there are no contact phone numbers and the one available on open source research conveniently has one digit missing. Damon appears to be incommunicado.... and in possession of my phones! Recent reviews on a different review site have been blocked due to Phone Convert investigating or being upset! SO.... maybe Damon and his family read the reviews and this may be the only way of communicating with them! MESSAGE TO DAMON If I don't hear from you by 9am Monday 18/11/2019 I will do the following: 1. Make a report to Action Fraud and a complaint to your local police regarding a criminal offence of either theft or fraud by false representation. I will make a statement and am prepared to attend court if required to do so. 2. I will also make a complaint to Trading Standards 3. I will also submit an application to the County Court and progress a civil claim against you to recover my losses and expenses. If you have the decency to make contact this is the outcome I want: EITHER 1. Full and prompt settlement of £235 for the offer made regarding two phones as per our contract. OR 2. Prompt return of both phones so I can sell them via someone with more professionalism, honesty, integrity and decency. Thank you, Sean Marshall

Sent my phone in after they gave me a good price. Didn't hear anything so I emailed them they said that they haven't received it yet..The phone was tracked and I have a delivery date and time of which Phone Convert said they still haven't got it. I kept emailing a man called Damon to find out where my phone is after a few weeks I got a reply saying that the delivery company still had it and he will go and pick it up. 3 weeks later no reply from my emails or any money that was guaranteed from this company.

It's been over 2 months now since I started the process of selling my phone to this company. Despite several emails, only some of which have been answered, I still have not been paid. Excuses included: 1) Delays caused by hospital visits. 2) Unavailabilty of payment cheques ("It will take 5 - 10 days for the bank to issue them"! 3) Nagging for my bank details which I rejected as I had requested a cheque several times. My conclusion can only be that this company is either grossly incompetent or acting unlawfully. I will now be reporting phoneconvert to Action Fraud.

Sent my phone In September. Was offered a lesser price, which is fair enough. Since then I have not received my money or phone back. Have had several emails, saying it has been paid or going to pay. Do not use this company. In the process of contacting trading standards.

I’m still waiting my payment for my phone which was a very expensive phone less than 1 year old they gave me a price for my phone then mailed me too make a lower offer saying the ear piece needed replacing which I found a little odd as it's been in protected covers and looked after very well but I accepted the lower offer too save hassle several emails later with them saying it's been paid then me not receiving the payment too get another email with they're having technical difficulties it will be cancelled and resent be in by midnight last night and still no money 3 emails in today and no response rouge traders your getting a call from me my phone was worth over a grand and I want my money or my phone returned

This company is a joke! I sent in my phone at the end of September 19, I had heard nothing by the 10th October so emailed. The response was that they emailed me as my phone was cracked with a new quote. Funny as my phone was sent in great condition, I wrapped it in bubble wrap and pocket air wrap was placed in the box. I searched my emails and nothing but every email has come straight to my inbox since. 3 weeks later I am still arguing the case and now I'm told my phone will be returned but I need to claim for the damage but I ask why was it signed for and the damage not picked up with Hermes earlier, I'm livid and £160 down! Stay away from Damon and Phone Convert

Sent my phone off and they confirmed the price on the 28th August and told me my cheque would be with me soon. 2 weeks later I had still not received it so I emailed them and was told it would be with me in 3 days. Another 10 days later, still no cheque so I emailed again and was again told it would be with me in 3 days. A further 2 weeks and STILL NO CHEQUE and no reply to the email that I sent them then!!!! Would not recommend this company and will never use again!!!

Sent 2 Sony phones for agreed price of £40. Kept up to date with the process until the last email 6 weeks ago saying the cheque would be set-aside then nothing and follow up email ignored received nothing. Wish I had never used this company

this is the worst place to send your phone to i would not even give them a 1 star first they loss my phone then other me less money if it but it was mint as was in a cover from day one then they fine find it so i said to send it back but still waiting 5 mounts later even low they said it has been sent a log time a go what a joke as they will not phone you to say what is happening and then the number they give you dose not work

I sent a phone on the 27th June 2019 and I have been contacting Phone convert and I have not had any response in 4 weeks and now I have no phone and no money not happy one bit all I want is my phone back or my Money back also no telephone number for contact. Please get in touch via my phone number or email.
