“Took my phone and told me they’d made payment, payment never received. Three weeks of promised pay dates and still not had a penny. Stopped replying to my emails, now referring to Action fraud.”

“I sent an ipad Air2 a month ago. I waited 2 weeks then emailed them to find out that the ipad was locked and they couldn't access it... Asked to provide details which I did and was told I would receive an email from Apple and photographic evidence of the reset... Never received this and have informed the company of this! This behaviour has pricked my ears up.... Waited another week and several ignored emails later... Informed it was all good and bank transfer completed..... A week and a half later and still no money.... Excuses after excuses... Informed they have a money flow issue with PayPal apparently! Now been told my order will be prioritised due to bad customer service and my money will be sorted 'Shortly'. No clarification of what that means..... Gave them ultimatum of pay me by Tuesday 10th Sep or return my item..., surprise surprise.. Emails are being ignored! Bad service..... Had to pay my own postage of £3.55 as I didn't request Royal Mail label (I wasn't given any option) and I'm done with them. Action Fraud case opened....... Joke... Stay away from these people. No phone number to speak with anyone which is another annoying factor!”

“Please do not use this company. I sent them my phone, they never sent my cheque and they are ignoring my emails. I wish I had sold my iPhone privately as I’ve now lost £150. Very disappointed in phone convert.”

“Beware, do not use this company, they are a scam. I would give zero rating if possible. They have taken my phone and will not pay or return my phone. This is a scam company, if you try and contact them they will either give a vague response or not reply at all. Worst company I have ever come across. AWFUL”

Hi, As explained to you via email your device is locked via icloud. We have sent emails which you have responded to but not requested it back or sent details that we can use to reset it. Please respond to our latest email. Regards, Phone Convert

“Sent a Samsung galaxy tabs3 took them 2 weeks to say they had recieved it,then got an email to say it wasn’t the right one so the amount I was meant to get went down by almost half,then got another email a week later saying it had been paid into my account,that was over 2 weeks ago,no transfer takes that long,these people are obviously con artists so please don’t use them,all of the positive feedback is b.s have contacted trading standards,sell to them and you will never see your money or your item ever again”

“Sent them my phone on 10/06/19 and heard nothing from them until I sent an email. Over a dozen emails later I ask them to return my phone and they sent the wrong one. I sent it back and they didn't respond until I sent them another email at which point they asked me for the IMEI number for my phone which I can't do because they still have it? It is now 06/08/19. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!”

“Really didn’t want to have to write this review as I’ve given this company so many chances to put the issue right. After continuously chasing for my payment I received it via PayPal less their commission so not the full amount due. This took 11 days after they first advised I’d be paid. Contacted them to request outstanding money and gave them 24hrs to make payment still not received, to say I’m annoyed is an understatement. Will not be using this company again.”

“DISGUSTING FRAUDS DO NOT USE I sent my phone, heard nothing from them. I then contacted them myself and they responded saying that the quote was going to be lowered. I accepted the lower quote and have now heard nothing for almost 6 weeks. I have sent multiple emails which they have ignored. I have now threatened with legal action as this is fraud / theft.”

“Whatever you do avoid like the plague!!! I sent a brand new handset sealed in box using their couriers was told box arrived but handset missing ( hmmm). Emails replied to thru the night suggests a one man band lost of false promises no sign of handset or payment”

“They received my phone in March and after agreeing a price they sent a cheque after 2 months but it bounced I contacted them and they said they were having problems with PayPal so I gave them my bank details and they said it would be in by the end of the week that was three weeks ago. They are not even answering any of my emails now I’m going to the police as it’s fraud”

“I wish I'd read all the reviews before sending my two mobile phones. I concur with the review below from "teacher".exactly the same experience and scenario when dealing with PhoneConvert. Don't be deceived by a nicely designed website and initially a genuine impression. From quoting a price for your mobile, sending the pre-paid envelope, re-adjusting the price following assessment, then stating the payment has been made. After that, it all falls apart. I lost my count how many emails I have sent so far. If you take a look at most negative comments you will find out that PhoneConvert uses the same protocol/pattern(for example I have to confirm my bank details three times! Really unimpressed with the service here and by the looks of some other reviews I'm definitely not the only one with this issue.”

“Have been without my phone or payment for months now. Agreed the reduced quote and since then an email stated payment made to my account however nothing received. Contacted them loads of times but only ever receive and email stating"I'll look into this" then that's it!!! They have too many false reviews making it look like their a good company when in fact they are theives!!! Has now been resolved but only after i has posted these reviews.”

“OMG! I wish I'd read all the reviews before sending my Samsung galaxy tablet S3 in its original box to this company. I sent my tablet to them on the 1st/July/2019 via the Hermes postage sticker they sent me. I have been tracking it eversince and now hermes tracker is saying that on 04/07/2019 15:08 It was placed in a safe or secure porch at the address. Surely by now phoneconvert should have received it and updated their system as item received but that has not happened yet. I have emailed them a couple of times and haven't heard anything from them. They do not have a contact number so can not contact them. Does this mean I have been duped. I am so worried now. Phone convert can you please contact me ASAP.”

“So the response Phone Convert wrote below is a complete lie. They said they would return my phone and they have not. They are thieves and liars and will be put behind bars. I am pursuing them relentlessly and will not give up until they are arrested. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR PHONE, THEY WILL STEAL IT.”
