“I purchased an upgrade to the contract I have had direct with Vodafone for years as the price was good, which was fine and I received my new handset very quickly. It wasn't until I received my first bill I noticed I had been assigned a brand new contract with a new phone, meaning I now had two phone contracts, not what I asked for. This is matter is currently being investigated and upon listening to my initial conversation with the sales lady phones4u have admitted their mistake, I was mis-sold. The two members of the customers sales team I have spoken to have been easy to deal with and now im waiting for someone to phone me back to confirm if they can cancel the contract I didn't ask for in the first place, its been a week. I will be phoning back tomorrow to check on progress as payment has come out for the first month and it has to be dealt with before my next bill comes round.”

“Got a Brand new Iphone 5s on contract with Vodafone via Phones4u - noticed battery life was very poor (and worse than anticipated by apple). Visited a phones4u store - got fobbed off that "it takes a little while for the battery to optimize". So waited another four weeks - still the same thing. Contacted Phones4u and they said they couldn't replace as it was outside the 28 day rule!! Offered to send it away for repair - I declined, it was purchased and not fit for purpose from day 1. Huge mistake going to Phones4u - lesson learnt! Go direct to the provider next time and avoid the organ grinder at all costs!!”

“The actual purchase of the phone was ok but two weeks later upon noticing a crack in the screen I took it to the Gateshead Metro Centre store to see what my options were for having the phone repaired. When I informed the manager I hadn't dropped or purposely damaged the phone I was called a liar in front of all the other staff & customers in the store... I will never use phones 4 u again.”

“Phone was a good price, I ordered around 8pm one evening and it was with me following morning on the normal delivery service, with lots of information about the expected time of delivery.”

“Very, very poor company and will never deal with them again. First time I have ever used them. They took money upfront for airtime credit which never appeared. I had to chase them up (via premium rate phone number) several times before they eventually came back to me. They then very reluctantly refunded my money which took 3 weeks to come back. No recognition that they had messed up. No apologies. No recommendations from me. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY!”

“Customer service was excellent. However, was completely misinformed with regards to my new billing process. Was assured when I updraded my direct debit was set up and would come out on the same day as normal. After my first month with my new phone the direct debit did not come out and when I phoned EE it had not been set up and the billing was a completely different process and I ended up having to pay over £80 more than what I was told. Phones4u staff should be aware of the processess for for all companies that they are selling for. Customers should not be misinformed like this and I was very unhappy. I was put into financial difficulty because of it and would not recommend the service to anyone.”

“Service was ok, nothing special. They forgot to mention that I had to set up direct debit by myself directly with EE and then nearly caused me to be charged extra due to lack of payment.”

“In general I found our local shop in letchworth was very helpful Just recently I upgraded my phone through your head office. I was offered a £50 cash back which I have still not received also they forgot to inform EE of my account details. I think in future I will deal with our local shop I like to speak to people face to face. Thank you”
