Absolutely terrible. Waited 7 weeks for a phone replacement that should have been done next day. Everybody in customer service told me a different service. Replacement phone was sent to a random address in Coventry (I'm in Sheffield) and they refused to send me a proper replacement until the person they had randomly sent it to chose to return it. In the end they gave me a replacement in store which they swore on day 1 they could not do... At upgrade time my wife and I both upgraded at the same time on the same telephone call. They sent us both a phone, and then despite having taken our money told my wife she had failed a credit check and could not have the phone. We checked with Experian and no credit check had been done. We got a whole bunch of lies, slander, and libel from a whole bunch of operators and in the end my wife's upgrade put her £100 out of pocket on the deal she should have had, was promised, and was sold. Customer services have two issues outstanding for at least 3 months now and are not returning my calls - yet they have asked me to write an honest review. So here it is! Hope this helps. I'm not afraid to publish this as it's fully true and I stand by all the statements made. I can't think of a single reason to bother to use Phones4u in the future. Avoid.

Hi Swarn, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving some feedback. I'm afraid the Motorola handsets do not come with earphones or a plug to charge the handset. It should however come with a data cable to charge off a compatible device / plug. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thanks again, Hugh

Turned me down for a contract even though I've had phone contracts all my life through other companies! Then has the nerve to harass me with several phone calls every day! Will be sure to let everyone know to avoid this company!!

Hi Kelly, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear you were not able to take a contract with us. I can confirm it was the network credit check that has been unsuccessful. For more information as to why I would recommend you to speak to Vodafone. In regards to the calls afterwards, this may have been our sales team asking if you would like to try another network provider with Phones 4u. I am sorry if this caused some inconvenience to yourself, rest assured this is not the aim. I hope we can have your custom in the future though Kelly. Thanks again, Hugh

Hi Kelly, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry that you would not recommend us. I can see you placed an order that unfortunately did not pass our checks, and that you called to say you had received an email confirming this. I'm sorry that you felt this was unsatisfactory. I hope we can have your custom in the future and change your opinion of Phones 4u. Thanks again, Hugh

After talking to phones 4u and being a little bit technophobic I trusted your sales team to provide me with a suitable handset and contract after explaining what I needed. I was amazed at the poor quality handset which I was provided and promptly sent it back to then be supplied with a newer version of the same phone which is not at all fit for purpose and to this end I am now stuck with a phone I will not use for a 2 year contract and no way out of it but to buy myself out which I am not in a position to do. After being called a liar by your customer service team when I explained I asked for an I phone 4s originally I will never use you again or recommend you to anybody.

What a nightmare! From paying for 2 brand new phones we received 1 brand new one and 1 reconditioned 1. To add insult to injury, the replacement phone was then faulty. This took over 2 months in total to rectify. The faulty phones were my husbands. He us self employed and this cost him quite a lot of business at the time. Clients could not get hold if him at all. Never again will I deal with Phones4u

Hi Lorraine, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm really sorry to hear of the experience yourself and husband have had. We do offer a 28 day exchange period in the unlikely event your handset is faulty. It is extremely rare with iPhone handsets for anything to be opened prior to delivery as they are all sealed units. I can see your husband was referred to our Technical Support team to look into the problem you were experiencing with the handset. I hope the problem has since been resolved and again apologies over the situation. I can imagine it was an extremely frustrating period for you both. Thanks again, Hugh

Don't deliver to work address, had to take a day off for delivery. First phone delivered was faulty, ran up a 60 pound phone bill calling to rectify this then, as you don't deliver to work addresses go to the middle of nowhere to pick it up from the depot.

Hi John, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry the phone you received was faulty. We do offer a 28 day exchange period in the unlikely event your handset is faulty. We can only deliver to your home address in these instances for security purposes. In regards to your £60+ bill I would refer you to speak to the network provider T-Mobile, you can reach them by dialing 150 off your mobile. They will be able to give you a breakdown of the numbers you have called which have resulted in the additional £20+ on top of your normal bill. If you experience any further problems or have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via our free Live Chat facility available on support.phones4u.co.uk. Thanks again John, Hugh

Hi Andrew, Thanks for taking the time to get in touch and leave a review. I'm really sorry to hear of the experience you've had. I can see the correct replacement phone has now been delivered and your tariff has been amended. I can imagine it must have been a very frustrating situation to be in. I hope you were not inconvenienced too much and everything is now running smoothly. Thanks again Andrew, Hugh

I'll start this by saying that I have always used phones 4u. Basically I was on a rolling contract and decided that I would move across from orange to EE (the same company). I went into one of your stores and was offered a deal to move that matched an offer that was made to me by O2. I accepted the deal and moved across and had an iPhone 5 in the process. I was initially delighted. However it came to my attention that I was given an additional line in lieu of a new contract. Paying nearly £120 for a month. I ended up doing this for three months whilst a yourselves and EE/orange disputed who was to blame. £180 out of pocket, I eventually agreed to pay EE. I am incredibly disappointed by both yr attitude and customer service. I have been a valued customer of yours for several years and for no fault of my own have been punished by your inability. Regards Andy

Hi Andy, Thanks for taking the time to get in touch and leave a review. I'm sorry to hear of your experience. I can imagine it must have been very frustrating to have been in that situation. I can confirm that Phones 4u had not asked for any additional line to be set up as there was no credit check ran for such. Apologies over the experience Andy. I hope we can look to retain your custom in the future. Thanks again, Hugh

Nothing But a Nightmare company to deal with. Tried to cancel an upgrade within 24 hours of agreeing to one on phone, only for them to rewrite the Distance Selling Regulations to suit themselves. Rude, Unhelpful and arrogant staff on the LIVE CHAT facility, telephone and in store. Will never deal with them again.

Hi Robert, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the service provided. At the time of purchase there was a no returns policy with any upgrades purchased, this is because an upgrade is a continuation of your previous contract. I hope the contract is now running smoothly, apologies for any inconvenience caused when contacting ourselves. Thanks again, Hugh

Bought and paid for a phone and it was delivered the next day,I opened the box and all the paper work was right and said amount debited to my credit card. All good so far but hey presto the wrong phone.Contacted them by phone straight away and was told they would send a bag to collect it and when they received it back my credit cardwould be refunded after 7 to 10 working days.Yes you guessed it next day and no bag, another phone call this time I was in the shop and used their phone ,yes you guessed it next day no bag.Day three yet another phone call,it was sent sir but we will send another one as well.Well I am holding my breath and dont want another request for yet another non existant bag, could this be a delaying tactic to keep hold of my money for as long as possible. My credit card was debited straight away, but it looks like it will be over 2 weeks before I get my money back. They did not even offer to send me the phone I first ordered until they got the other one back,of course if I would like to order another phone and pay for that as well I could take that option.Pahhhhhh humbug.Phones for U,I dont think so,lovely girls on the end of the phone but helpless to help you.

Very poor ! Sent the wrong size SIM card and a faulty handset. Got to wait for a bag to be sent out to send the phone back then wait for a replacement to be sent out and will not change my phone in store when I desperately need a phone ! Very poor service

Hi Becca, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear you received a faulty handset. As you can appreciate receiving a brand new handset faulty is very rare. However I can imagine it must have been very frustrating having to be without a phone for the exchange period. I hope both the new handset and SIM card are now working well. Thanks again, Hugh
