Very, very poor company and will never deal with them again. First time I have ever used them. They took money upfront for airtime credit which never appeared. I had to chase them up (via premium rate phone number) several times before they eventually came back to me. They then very reluctantly refunded my money which took 3 weeks to come back. No recognition that they had messed up. No apologies. No recommendations from me. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Hi James, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry you would not recommend Phones 4u. I can see there was a problem with the connection of your top-up which we then reimbursed you for. I hope the problem has since been resolved for you. Thanks again James, Hugh

I was called by a representative, who promised the roaming plan included Australia it didn't. I have had to now pay extra for it. Phones4u contacted T-mobile who cut me off straightaway, I was told it would take a couple of days when in fact it was done the same day and I had no phone network for nearly 3 days and was travelling away from home without a phone, not impressed. I am now on the phone to a representative as I have received a letter to say my account is in arrears, again I was told by the Phones4u representative nothing had to be done about payments as my Direct which was already setup with T-mobile would be transferred to EE, again not the case. I feel I was mis-sold the contract and features and mis-informed by a representative. Will not be recommended you at all and shall be writing to headoffice.

i am very unhappy with my service i ordered my new phone upgrade on 21st May 2014 and writing this today i still have not got my phone working. run down of events - - Phone call asking me to upgrade phone i agree but guy selling me phone noted the wrong phone size 16gb instead of 64gb size. (Order conformation 1001896842) - I correct him on same call but got told that it had already been processed and sent out in space of 5 mins of call but he would send out a return bag and as soon i recieve phone send it back. - Bag arrives Thursday 22nd and phone arrives Friday 23rd i phone up to ask what to return and get told by lady to send everything back including SIM. - Send everything back on Friday 23rd May recorded delivery - Get email conformation of return on 29th May - Phone back as advised because i would have to pay Money gave details and paid the £99 for 64gb phone. - Nothing apears so i phone back on Monday 2nd of June explain details and get told the order had not gone through. - New order raised with £50 off for my trouble (order ref - 1002140342) - New phone arrives Thu 5th June but no SIM card - Phone up to ask about it and get told i should have kept original SIM which wasnt what i was told originally. - Request for new SIM raised on 5th June. - No sign of new SIM by Wed 11th June i phone up to check and told been sent out but another request been raised. - New SIM arrives in post Sat 14th June. - I do as it says to change over number and leave it. - Spend the week phoning between phones 4 u & EE trying to get to bottom of problem of phone not changing. - finally on Friday 20th June someone found the problem was EE didnt have activation for my new SIM because phones 4 u had activated the Original SIM with the 16gb phone which got sent back and nothing EE could do until this was changed. - Called phones for u explained this and on the Friday for about 1 hr my new phone worked with my correct number until about 16.30, then read no service again. - i thought was maybe just in process so left it for weekend but on Monday 23rd it still wasnt working i called phones 4 u and got told was EE issue and to phone them. - spend week phoning EE trying to get fixed only to be told would be 24 hrs one day then 3 days. - Phone EE on Friday 27th to say ive not had phone for 2 weekends and cant have a third only to be left put on hold for half an hour then someone hung up. - i called back and get told that problem had been sent to MNP Porting which would take 24hrs and phone should be working Friday afternoon but might be Friday at 0.00 that cross over happened. - again nothing happens over weekend and this morning my phone still says no service. - I have called EE again today and have been told that the have made it urgent case and put to level two management for change over to happen but again got told it could take three days. - explained i am away on Holiday on Friday 4th July and need my phone. - I know the last couple of weeks of problems have been more on EE but i did buy the phone from Phones 4 u & thought you would have a contact that could of pushed issue to get fixed. - i am now at the point if nothing has changed by Wednesday i will go into the phones 4 u shop in elgin hand my phone back and cancel the contract. I have never had this much trouble changing a phone before even between networks it normally all changed over within 2 days this saga has been going on for more than a month now.

More Than 6 weeks since I purchase my new contract. No phone service as yet. Cant make or receive a call. My new phone is continuously dead from last 6 weeks. When I ring the network (EE) they put my phone down. Gave them my PAC code about 4 weeks ago. Got their confirmation email the my old number will be activated in 4 days but still no luck. I am deeply regretting my decision to go with phones4u.

It has been a very poor service with no attention to customer service. Received one line upgrade only while I did apply for 2 lines and the reason given was an absolute lie that ee has refused on the grounds of low credit while ee confirmed to me that I am eligible and preapproved for upto 5 lines.also phone received is not in a good working order which I did complaint about and received no answer whatsoever till now . would never use again and will make sure to take it further with trading standards.

Took 3 weeks to replace broken phone with broken phone and despite assurances that it wouldn't effect my rights it seems to have done. Second broken phone has not been collected and contracted has not been cancelled due to not being fit for purpose. I month, no phone, and contract not cancelled.

Very poor customer service from initial contact. I have gone weeks without a phone over what was supposed to be a simple upgrade. I have been treated with a "computer says no" attitude and I will not be renewing my contract through phones 4 u

When it goes well is fine, when mistakes made, it follows more and more mistakes, where right hand is unaware of the left one and no brain is present in the process. They say sorry nicely, lead you to believe they are doing something, however later you find out they have not done as promised and made the mess deeper and more unmanageable.

I didn't buy anything from Phones4U, so I don't know why they have asked me to write this review. I tried to buy something from them, but for whatever reason, the transaction did not go through. I went to Carphone Warehouse instead.

Hi Stephen, I'm really sorry to hear that the application that you've placed with us has not been accepted. All orders that are placed are subject to the relevant security and credit checks. After looking into your order I can see that the order was cancelled when it went to the network for the credit check and we don't always get the outcome of these checks. You can replace the order if you like but I would advise trying a different networks as the checks can vary. Thanks, Sam.
