Last May 25,2014,I was contacted by one of your sales rep "Andrew" in connection with my phone upgrade as I was due for one.I was very much interested with the new Samsung Galaxy S5 bcoz of its features and at the same time,I have always been a Samsung mobile fanatic. Andrew offered me an irresistible deal which include a Samsung Gaxaxy tab 2 and I have to pay an upfront fee of £59.99 for it.I agreed with the deal and just after a few days,my phone was delivered to me but not the Galaxy tab 2,though so I contacted phones4u through your chat service and I managed to chat with your rep "Gary" and i formed him of my queries.Gary in-turned after contacting your gifting dept. confirmed to me that I qas indeed entitled a Galaxy tab 2 but he added that it will only delivered 28 days after I received my tablet. After more than 28 days of waiting,I contacted phones4u again, asking them about tablet and what happened to the deal we agreed.I was informed again by one of your colleague "Andrew" again that my case will be listened to an investigation will be conducted.I waited and waited for their promises of an investigation and be listened to but nothing happened. It was only after I emailed your complaint dept and a certain ? Emma Newcastle contacted me and I told her of my predicament.I also informed her of what Andrew and Gary told me but its been like 4 weeks since my upgrade have started but up to that date,I am still waiting for the Galaxy tab.I also told her that I wouldnt waste my time chasing the tab if I hadnt been promised about itand at the same time,I also promised my daughter that tablet for her birthday. After a few days,my tablet came and I really would like take this oppurtunity to thank your employee ?Emma for listening to me and acted swiftly to my complaint. I have been a loyal customer of phones4u for more than 4 years now.I never had a bad record and always paid my my bills through direct debit and to be treated like this and experienced this kind of marketing issues is awful.Being a former sales rep myself,I always believe in the saying that "it will take you a month or two to find a client but only takes a second to lose one" Your personnel manning your chat service esp those people i mentioned should undergo an extensive and rigorous customer training or you will lose many loyal customers like me. Thank you

Very unhappy with the overall service, I was promised 3 months free line rental when signing up to a new contract, this dud not happen until I phoned up to question why I had been billed. After phones 4u checked the recording of my call when signing up they did agree with me and refunded what I was owed. Perhaps the sales people need to make sure they pass on this information when new customers sign up. Also my Samsung s5 has had problems since I got it, the screen goes blank all the time and I need to push the screen in to get it back on. I spoke to phones 4u technical department who have insisted that I need to do a factory reset on the phone as part of their fault finding procedure. I am very reluctant to do this as I have a lot of information and photos on the phone. I'm not expert but I can't see see how a factory reset on phone will rectify an obvious hardware fault on the phone. I'm now going to have to wait to get myself a phone, back all my up then do a factory reset and probably send my phone back.

I upgraded my phone contract with Phones4U over the phone, the same way I had the last time I upgraded my handset. The initial experience was good and my phone arrived by courier within a few days. It's unfortunate that Phones4U use DPD who would only give a few hours notice of the delivery slot, and you are unable to change that slot to suit you, other than change the date, its not possible to select a time slot unless you pay extra. The handset worked OK for a few days but quickly developed a fault, being unable to read the sim card. Looking online, it seemed this was a common(ish) fault with the new HTC One M8, but Phones4U tech support, or customer services had never heard of it. I wanted to exchange the handset but Phones4U wouldn't do that until a new SIM had been tried. Phones4U wouldn't forward me a new SIM card, so they told me I had to go to my nearest EE store and get a new SIM from them, as my SIM may be faulty. EE refused to give me a new SIM unless I purchased one (£10) which I had to do to satisfy Phones4U tech support & customer services curiosity. The new SIM worked for a few hours then the phone was again unable to read or recognise the SIM card. Back to Phones4U customer services, they put me back to tech support who wanted me to reset the phone again. This still didn't work so they gave me a code to get the handset replaced. This is where it gets even more ridiculous. I passed the code to customer services who said it was OK to exchange the handset. However, because the phone was ordered from Phones4U over the phone, I was not allowed to exchange the handset in a store. According to them, even though it's the same company, they are different. Also, you can't just send the phone back to them, you have to wait for Phones4U to send you a bag first. Why? I have no idea either. After 5 working days, there was still no sign of this magic bag which would enable me to send my useless phone back to them. After another lengthy phonecall to Phones4U customer services, wondering where the hell this bag was, they were scratching their heads too. According to them, they had sent it out 3-5 working days ago so I should have it by now... Anyway, they agree to send out another mythical bag to me, which they say will take between another 3-5 working days and they are ever so sorry... 3-5 working days later, still no magic bag, still no working phone, but a very grumpy customer has to phone Phones4U customer services to find out where this sodding bag is. Lo and behold, the lady says I can send it in the post as normal and gives me an address. Why couldn't they have done that in the first place and saved me 6-10 working days of ball-ache and frustration?? After another 5-7 working days of waiting, they received my old useless non-functioning handset and sent me out a new shiny one which actually worked! Yay!! Do a happy dance!! During my 11-17 working days of waiting around, pining for my poorly handset Phones4U did promise to reimburse me my £10 for the replacement SIM card I had to (needlessly) buy from EE, £10 to cover the postage and packing when I returned my faulty handset to them (minus magic bags!) and a further £20 to cover the loss of contract for 11-17 working days when my mobile was unable to read the SIM and thus engage in mobile phone type activity, you know, like make phone calls and stuff! Some of the reimbursements they came through with, the others must be sat somewhere with the magic postage bags, wondering where they are, lost, scared and worried that they will never be seen or heard from ever again. So, the moral of this story? If you want to use Phones4U to upgrade or take out a new phone contract, go for it, but my advice to you is to do it face to face in your local store. Don't do it over the phone or via the web, because on those occasions when there is a fault or a problem, you will be in for a real bundle of ball-ache. Please, think of those magic post bags, don't let anymore of them suffer that same, awful fate!

Applied for an upgrade, disappointed, my partner got an upgrade to Samsung S5 unlimited texts and calls & 4GB of data and £200 cashback on her upgrade, from you, for £42.99. I wanted a Sony Z2 with the same deal but you'd only give £70 cashback? I have used P4U for my past 2 upgrades and have been very satisfied/pleased with the service, but this time i'm very disappointed with the service as there are other deals on-line at U-Switch(mobilephonesdirect/upgrade) which match the above. Feel let down a bit, as i don't understand what the difference is between the S5 and Z2? Kindest Regards Jarrad Edwards - 07875536807

Did not receive the phone that I wanted. When I phoned back, I was told that they didn't do it so all they could do would be to increase the cash back...... The full amount agreed was never received! Lesson learned, never again!!!

Never again. Having been given the option to change my delivery time, the delivery company went ahead and delivered at the original time anyway - to a strange man several streets away, who tracked me down and 'delivered' the phone I'd paid you for - opened by him. Just recovering from this horrible experience when it became clear that the £10 airtime I was obliged to pay you for had never been credited to the sim sent. I then called your customer service centre, who insisted upon taking my bank details (which the call handler cheerfully told me he'd find 'easy to remember - very reassuring -not) and said that I would be credited with the £10. Unsurprisingly, I have not been. Dealing with Phones 4 u has been a disaster from start to finish, and I believe I am due compensation of at least £50 for the distress, inconvenience & call costs which this misbegotten order has created. How exactly do you stay in business ?

Ordered a moto g from phones4u because Amazon had no stock. Amazon are also £10 cheaper. Phone was packaged with no physical end address, so luckily someone else within my company had something delivered with DPD that day and I managed to catch the delivery guy on the way out and ask the where abouts of my phone. It only had my name and a street name no actual location so who knows where it would of ended up. Also since registering with phones 4u I had a huge influx of junk mail being sent to my email.

Picked white on your web sit but the order ended up a black phone. Asked for a replacement, return bag took a week to arrive. You posted the replacement to different address than that the original item was posted to so I had to come home from work to be in to collect it. Will I buy from you again, no chance!

Absolute rubbish. We ordered the phone on line. After it arrived we couldn't get it connected. We made phone calls on 4th july to both you and Orange. Both were most unhelpful. We were eventually informed that the phone had been registered to someone else and must be returned. This was done during the week. The customer service was appaling and unhelpful. Thank god I hadn't cancelled my phone with my original provider at that point. I have stayed with my original provider and upgraded. I would never bother with you, or orange again.
