Avoid this dreadful company and save yourself some money. I booked a gas engineer to come and move a gas pipe which was in the wrong position for a new kitchen stove. He turned up, clearly not prepared to undertake this simple job having brought no pipes or connectors with him. He spent 10 minutes inspecting the problem and left. For this I was charged £118. This was swiftly followed up with an outrageous quotation to carry out the work for £677.78. This quote contained no information about the cost of parts or the amount of labour time involved. I did ask the engineer how long it would take to do the job and he said “a few hours” - about which I was sceptical. I swiftly got in touch with another local company and their engineer has just completed the work for more than £200 less than PlumbingForce. He did it in one hour! I raised this treatment with the PlumbingForce’s Aftersales Manager and asked for a refund but he would not budge an inch. They do not appear to be interested in their customers’ experience.

Shambles of a company, DO NOT USE. Appointment was booked well in advance for 9am-1pm slot. Plumber did not turn up and then casually later in the day I was told they aren't coming, we took time off unpaid to be home for the appointment. Think this could be a scam. AVOID

Appalling Service - avoid! Engineer has now failed to attend on three separate occasions, namely the 28/07/25, 29/07/25 and now 08/07/25. First two dates I did not find out the engineer was not attending until half way through the days in question. I have just received a voicemail message advising the engineer will not be attending tomorrow either and asking me to rebook. This company are are clearly having a laugh at my expense. My partner and I between us have now taken 3 days annual leave to be at home for the engineer, which are now wasted. I have already paid this company the total sum of £575.28 as a deposit. This is appalling service. Awaiting a refund of sums paid.

On Wednesday I paid over £182 to unblock a kitchen sink. 2 days later it started to get blocked again, we have done nothing unusual, in fact we have been mostly away. Today I called to report the problem, I was told I would have to pay a minimum of another £144 to have someone come out again... This is a scam & money making scheme... do a shoddy job and get paid time and time again for coming out multiple time... If I were you, I would not use them!

One star is very generous, I don't usually leave reviews on companies unless i'm very satisfied or very disappointed. For many years been using Plumbingforce for my annual boiler service or indeed for emergencies and been satisfied until this new company taken over Plumbingforce, however, they still using Plumbingforce as their name so they don't lose their clientele and to look more professional. Couple of weeks ago i contacted PlumbingForce to arrange the relocation of 2 water pipes that come from the house to my utility room and place them from the left corner to the right corner inside the utility however, i wanted those pipes to be through the concrete floor as i wanted to tile the floor and have no visible pipes, the operator on the phone assured me that all their engineers are qualified and have all the necessary tools and materials to do the job, i've explained again just to make sure this will be possible and again they assured me not to worry as they can do it. I've agreed to their £120 + vat fee for the first hour + £60 +vat per hour after that + any materials and booked the engineer for the following day as i needed this job to be done before the next builder was booked to do the tiling. The engineer turned up on time at 08:00 am next day and left at 08:02 after she mentioned she is not qualified or have the equipment to cut or dig the channel in the concrete floor for the relocation of the plumbing... and the company charged me £144 including VAT for doing absolutely nothing. This puts massive delays in works that already has been booked and money spent, i'm not talking about just £144, is all the other builders that will be pushed back because of this. I understand how trade works and i know that there is a minimum charge or whatever, however, if you assure me over the phone that the engineers are qualified and they have all the necessary tools and materials for the job, why don;t you send someone that can do this job, or indeed, if you know you don't have the capability to do this kind of job, why taking people money. As soon as the engineer left, i contacted via telephone the office of PlumbingForce and explained the situation and been put on hold for over 5 minutes for the operator to talk to their manager, after all this waiting, been told to send them an email to the aftersales which i did immediately, after 5 days, i've received an email from their after sales manager saying they won't refund me any money as i have agreed for the minimum fee of £120 + vat for the work even if they didn't do any work. This is so frustrating and disappointing as such a big company do not look after their customers and promises what they cannot deliver, no wonder why they only have 1.3 star on google reviews. This will just top this up even more as they deserve it. Terrible experience for few hours work that probably won't take even 40 minutes to the right engineer, this added so much stress that wasn't even necessary. Well done guys, you've earned another review.

I had a booking with them, they were supposed to arrive between 8am - 12 noon. By 11am I had heard nothing from them so I called. I don’t think they had even appointed an engineer at that point. The appointment was moved to 1pm - 5pm . They called at 3.30 to say an engineer wasn’t available due to an ‘emergency ‘I wasted the most part of a day waiting for them, so I would not recommend them.

I feel compelled to share my experience with PlumbingForce to warn others. I booked them to remove two radiators and cap the valves. I was quoted 1–2 hours’ work at around £144. When their engineer, Chris, arrived, he called me within 10 minutes and claimed the job would take 10 hours and cost over £1,400 — nearly ten times the estimate. He then hung up on me and left the property. No work was carried out, and they still charged me the full fee. I later had a qualified plumber attend who did the job in 15 minutes with no system draining or balancing required — exactly as I’d originally requested and described during booking. The After Sales Manager, Dan MacDonald, at PlumbingForce refused a refund and doubled down, citing vague T&Cs and insisting their engineer acted correctly. From my experience, this felt like either gross incompetence or a deliberate upsell tactic. I’ll leave it to others to judge, but I will not be using them again — and I encourage anyone else to think twice before doing so.

Plumber attended the property, did what he could to resolve a kitchen issue and left within 50 minutes. Then came back 25 minutes later to ask for a signature on paperwork - time I was then billed for, in spite of the fact that the work done within the property was under an hour. Have been told repeatedly that unless I can 'prove' the exit time of the engineer, I won't be refunded. A convenient system to charge extra money and accuse customers of dishonesty. Straight up scam behaviour, and unprofessional.

Very poor performance. Plumbing Force were sent numerous photos, emails and phone calls explaining what the work entailed, yet the engineer still showed up to site with no parts to complete the work and wanted an additional fee to come back with the parts. The price to return to complete the work was very expensive and I had to get another company to complete. Wouldn't use Plumbing Force again.

My experience with plumbing force has been far short of satisfactory. I have stated the facts as they happened so that customers can make their own judgment. I recently purchased two Hive thermostats that I required installing. 1) Before booking the job with plumbingforce, I specifically mentioned that it was a Hive thermostat that I wanted installing, initially when I made enquiries via live chat, and then subsequently over the phone at the time of booking. I was very clear both times and specifically requested an engineer experienced in installing it. The response I got was that they are all experienced with installing Hive products and I was guaranteed this. The engineer who arrived did not know how to install it and admitted that it was the first time he was doing it. The engineer proceeded to call a friend via video call to do the wiring (and wired both the devices in wrong as I shall explain below). As per section 39 of plumbingforce's T&Cs, plumbingforce are responsible for losses as they did not send an appropriately qualified engineer to do the job (the job was neither unexpected, caused by a delaying event outside of their control or something that I could have foreseen to take reasonable action against). In essence they failed to provide the agreed service. 2) Section 12 of their T&Cs state that they usually provide an estimation or a fixed fee quotation for a job unless the job is an urgent or break down service (section 18) which this was not. I was not provided with this and instead they put me on an hourly charge. I specifically told plumbing force I had two thermostats that I needed installing to a combi boiler and that this was multi zonal. This should have been enough to give me a fixed quote. Giving me a fixed quotation would have avoided the time factor that is in play when on an hourly rate, and hence both parties would have been happy to see the job through to completion (and means that I do not pay unreasonably for an engineer to sit around doing nothing). Hence they broke this T&C of their contract as well. Once the job was completed, pairing of the thermostats took some time and it was clear to me the engineer did not know what they were doing (bearing in mind I was on an hourly rate). The engineer themselves said that there was no point in them hanging around doing nothing and encouraged me to close the job and advised that once the pairing took place it should work. As per their advice I closed the job. I had to ring Hive twice to get the devices to pair but once this was complete they still did not work. Both thermostats were wired in wrong and hence I was left with no heating in February. I rang plumbing force to inform them of this and they advised that since I closed the job (and hence I had broken section 17 of their T&C by doing this) there was nothing they could do and if I wanted someone to come to have a look at it, I would have to pay again. They took no responsibility for it (sending out an incompetent engineer and breaking section 39 of their T&C) and were very rude and couldn’t care less. 4) Section 20 of their terms says that if I believe that the service has not been carried out with reasonable care or skill, I must give them the chance to investigate. I did my due diligence and gave plumbing force the chance to investigate in the first instance that I knew something was wrong. I first rang plumbing force and asked for an engineer to come back to have a look at the wiring. Plumbing force were dismissive and only agreed to come out again if I paid for another job. They have hence broken section 20 of their T&C. They should have sent an engineer out to have a look at it and only charged me if there was no fault with their installation (which there was as I subsequently had to seek help from a well known British gas company who sent an engineer to fix it who did confirm that the wiring was wrong). 5) The subsequent gas engineer (from a well known British gas company and not from plumbing force) correctly identified that the wiring was wrong and hence I believe that the device was not installed by plumbingforce with reasonable care or skill. There was no loop wire between the Live and the port to the boiler. Plumbing force subsequently refused to accept liability due to a third party fixing it despite photographic evidence of the wrong wiring. 6) Finally, I found it extremely disappointing that there was no apology from anyone at plumbing force despite 2 complaint responses. They refused to accept any responsibility for their wrong installation. This points to a lack of care and compassion from Plumbingforce. I have lost £118 pounds and then was left with no heating in winter and no solution/compromise from their part. By far the worst part of this ordeal is the callous manner in which this has been dealt with. I am fortunate enough to be able to pay again for the matter to be rectified but I suspect in the current economic climate, there are many people who are not able to do that. There is absolutely no accountability and out of principle I do intend on complaining to the Ombudsman. An apology would have gone a long way.

Save your money and avoid using PlumbingForce. I had an electrical issue with my boiler (the circuit board died), which I communicated clearly to them over email and by phone, along with the specific make of my boiler, a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 937 combi. They sent someone over who spent a maximum of 5 minutes looking at my boiler. He then went to his van to call Vaillant, claiming he didn't get a signal in my house, which no one else has ever had issues with. After 10-15 mins, he came back in and told me that the electricals aren't working and need replacing (which is quite literally exactly what I communicated to them in the first place) and then quoted me £900+ for new parts that I found online for less than £200. They prey on people who have urgent needs and use extremely vague and open ended terms & conditions to allow them to engage in borderline fraudulent business practices. It literally says on their website, “Do not rely on information on this site. We make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date.” See for yourself - https://www.plumbingforce.co.uk/terms-conditions/ They can do better by simply being less evasive on the phone and through other communications about what services they're able to provide upfront. In hindsight, it's very clear that they were intentionally withholding information to try and close the sale. Once you give them your payment information, that's all they care about. Also, they refuse to provide a phone number for customer service and insist only on emails. Avoid at all costs.

I contacted Plumbing Force for a quote, in which I wrote and verbally communicated that the electrics of my boiler had stopped working, along with the manufacturer (Vaillant) and model (Ecotec Plus 937 combi). They said a call out would be minimum £120 + VAT. The guy came out, and while he was nice enough, he looked at my boiler for literally about 2 mins, then spent the next 10+ mins in his van 'on a call with the manufacturer', only to come inside and tell me he couldn't help in any way whatsoever because the electrics were out (which is EXACTLY what I previously communicated) and he doesn't deal with that. He quoted me £900+ for new circuit board (PCB) and display, which I easily found online for less than £200. In total, he was at my home for no more than 20 mins and I was out £144 for zero assistance or any helpful information.

Shocking company, visited our property 2 hours late on a Friday for an emergency leak, told us they needed to order a specialist part and would be back, despite 4 calls to their office over the next 2 days we have not had a return visit or a phone call from them, we managed to get an independent plumber out on the Tuesday who fixed the leak immediately, he was with us for half an hour and the problem was solved, Plumbingforce never came back to me, that was 3 weeks ago, absolute cowboys

Rang on behalf of my 80 year old mother. Very prompt service. Engineer arrived (James), he was extremely helpful and honest. Explained everything to myself and my mother. New boiler had to ordered which he did that afternoon. Arrived at 9am fitted a new boiler. All completed by 2 30. James was very kind, polite and pleasure to have working in her home. Recommend James to anyone. Thanks for a fabulous service.

Don't trust this company what so ever(CHECK RECENT GOOGLE REVIEWS THAT SHOWS HOW BAD THEY ARE AS UNFORTUNATELY I DIDN'T). Booked a cooker installation and was wary because of up front credit card details given up front. The installer arrived and claimed he would not be able to do it and just sat outside in his van(probably thinking great I got paid for doing no work). Highly suspicious because the old cooker was in the same place and got a landlords gas certificates every year I called another gas engineer who was able to fit me in between jobs within the hour and fitted the cooker with no issues and a landlords gas certificate for £95 including gas pipe. Plumbing force had already charged me £144 and any parts would have been on top. They refused to give a refund even after clear evidence there was no reason to refuse to install the cooker. They charge the earth and when clearly there should give a refund they will use the poorest excuses not to. Stay well away as if there's a problem that's there own fault they will never accept responsibility and you will never get your money back.
