During the initial phone call, I clearly explained that the issue concerned an Aqualisa shower and explicitly confirmed the brand. I was reassured that the company was very familiar with this products and I was assured that the issue could be resolved. Based on these assurances, I was asked to make an advance payment of £144. However, when the plumber attended, he remained on site for less than five minutes and stated that he does not deal with Aqualisa showers and could not carry out any work. He then left without offering any solution or even attempting to assist further. This is completely unacceptable. I was clearly misled during the initial call in order to secure payment. Following this, I received no follow-up. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. After several days of follow-up on my side, I received a quote for installing a new Aqualisa shower—at a higher cost than going directly through the manufacturer. To be clear: I paid £144 for a service that was not delivered in any form. No work was carried out, no solution was provided, and no reasonable alternative was offered. The entire experience—from the initial call, to the visit, to the lack of follow-up—has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I complained and they did nothing but justify themself saying the price was for the call and to identify the fault, not necessarily to carry out the job. They ask for advanced payment giving false promises. I regret contacting them instead of going straight to the manufacturer, it was a total waste of money.

Dishonesty, lack of service and highest importance given to securing unjustified additional appointments to secure extra charges. This was my experience and I truly feel swindled. I have since had better success with British Gas direct. Who would have thought.......

Having pre-booked in advance I received a phone call to say engineer couldn’t make it as stuck on another job on the day, they couldn’t offer another plumber only for another day, I originally asked for a plumber for the same day as advertised but they couldn’t find one so this is why I arranged for another day only to be let down, regardless if engineer was caught up on another job if they do what they say should have sent someone else. Awful company surprised by the good reviews.

Dreadful service from a company with no UntiliesADR membership, meaning they can do what they want with no redress. I made an emergency call out with them, for 8am to 1pm, at 10.30 they told me he would now attend 1pm to 5pm, he eventually arrived at 4.30pm and had to order parts, he said he would be back the following morning - that didn't happen, I rang the call centre again at 8.30am and was told he would be with me that day. By 2.30pm still a no show, I rang the call centre again and was put through to a manager who was rude, aggressive and abrupt, she told me he would now be out the following day. She was not bothered in the slightest about my situation. I cancelled and went with someone else. Do not use these cowboys

If I could I would give zero or minus stars to this company. Please be cautious if considering engaging Plumbing Force, as your card will be debited £144 whether you are happy with their work or not. There are lots of ‘call handlers’ to take calls at Plumbing Force, which means they can take your initial call and your money with speed. My first call was helpful. We explained that our Aqualiser Midas shower thermostat had stuck at very hot. They could attend to resolve that. The shower head holder had broken and I had bought one and planned to install it myself. I asked if this could be sorted after the thermostat was mended. Yes, they replied, while the plumber was visiting he could install that too. Compared to the ‘sales team’ there appears to be significantly fewer staff dedicated to ordering parts or to plumbing. When Nigel, ‘the engineer’ arrived he checked ‘you have the part?’ We explained that no, we did not have the thermostat part. Nigel was keen to talk about football, but with encouragement from us, he got around to looking at the thermostat. He said it needed a part which he would order. He installed the holder for the shower head, upside down, he removed it and reinstalled it and left. Cost for 15 mins, £144. That was two and a half weeks ago. Since then we have phoned Plumbing Force every day to ask about Nigel’s progress in obtaining the part. For the first week it was very much Naughty Nigel. ‘He should have sent you an invoice, we’ll chase him up and call you back’. Plumbing Force have not called me once despite me calling them almost daily and receiving a commitment to chase this up and call me back. In fairness, according to Plumbing Force, Naughty Nigel was not the only problem, also accused of tardiness was the Aqualiser supplier. After 10 days of calling, the response changed to, Aqualiser cannot supply the part, you need a new shower, we will send a quote for parts and labour. No quote arrived. We called, again and again…We’ll send a quote by close of business. That was 2 days ago. In the meantime we contacted a local plumber. He obtained the required part! The very part that in ten days Plumbing Force could not get hold of despite, according to them, diligently chasing this. It has been dreadful living without a shower but even more dreadful dealing with Plumbing Force. I guess it could be worse, imagine having to work for them and repeatedly tell customers that they will be called back ‘that day’ when you know that is not going to happen because the company you work for is interested primarily in the cash cow of call outs but not in delivering a decent service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU THREE TIMES THE COSTS OF THE JOB!!!! This company quoted an hour for a job and when the plumber turned up he then quoted 3 hours. I advised that I didn't want to go ahead at the price had gone from £144 ro £432! They then charged me £144 for the first hour, when all the plumber did was provide and estimate. I am currently trying to get this refunded, but they are saying that the £144 remains payable.

Avoid this company at all costs! Charged me £144 for a call out to diagnose the fault on my Aqualisa shower despite advertising on their website that for aqualisa shower repairs “there are no call out fees for our emergency plumbers”. Quoted me nearly £3,000 to replace a faulty processor and flange and said they would fit it the next day. Having later researched the cost of a new processor and flange (around £500 including next day delivery) and labour costs (maximum of four hours = £576), I queried the quote (which they emailed to me after the engineer left and had which had no detail on it whatsoever) and asked for more details. They were never provided. Then phoned the company the next morning to again query the cost. They said they would call back. They never did. Engineer turned up with a whole new shower (not just the processor we had been told we needed). When I queried this he became aggressive and took it upon himself to leave. I cancelled the job by email later that day. The engineer lied and said that I had cancelled the job on his arrival. Consequently they charged me for four hours work (they were at my house for two minutes according to my CCTV) ie £576, on top of the £144 already charged, claiming that this was for reasonable costs incurred due to me cancelling the job. So they have charged me over £700 for nothing and are refusing to give me a refund or enter into any further correspondence with me, claiming I agreed to their terms and conditions. I have reported them to Trading Standards and Citizens Advice. Sadly I have subsequently read other customer reviews and can see that my experience is not unique. I am retired and this experience has caused me undue stress and financial hardship. Company should be renamed Plumbing FARCE.

Didn't turn up on the Friday as they had said they would. Therefore had no hot water for the weekend. An engineer phoned on Monday morning to say he had passed the building and couldn't park so was going away again. I had explained to the company where he could park - on the slipway next to our flats. This has yellow lines but in 11 years of us living here, no trades or delivery person has received a ticket because we're on the Thames path and so there is so on street parking. He was only persuaded to park up on the slipway after I pointed out that we have underground parking which he could use instead (he declined the offer because he said there were ladders on his van which therefore wouldn't fit. I could see him park the van from my window, there were no ladders on the roof!). 2 and three quarter hours later he had replaced the element but the bill was just under £700 which seems to me extortionate and really that with the stress of the non appearance/the apparent reluctance to stay to do the work/the slowness of the work and also the unclear communication about the job - this was an awful experience that I wouldn't want to repeat. The plumber also didn't take his rubbish away or clean up after him.

Avoid at all costs Called PlumbingForce to get the household shower fixed as it had been not been receiving hot water. They sent a plumber who fixed the shower but overtightened the dial making it impossible for elderly grandmother to move. The plumber came back which she was alone and upsold her a new shower unit that we did not ask for. Plumber left and we came home to find a new shower unit installed.... half the water pressure as previously available and silicon snot all over the tiles from an amateur installation job. Not only did this scumbag take advantage of an elderly woman to upsell a shower but couldn't even do a decent job of it. Nearly £1000 later and they have ruined our shower. These people claim to be specialists but are cowboys - do not use PlumbingForce - phoned to complain and they wont take complaints over the phone and think 7-10 days for an email reply constitutes good customer service whilst we are stuck without a shower in the meantime.

I initially wrote a glowing review of the plumber who came and identified a slow leak from my cistern. I had to go to a funeral, but trusted him to get on with the job. There was somebody else in the flat when I left. Whilst I was gone he identified a crack in the toilet I had not previously seen. But I believed him. And agreed for him to purchase a new cistern and toilet. I paid for over 8 hrs of work, even though 4 of the hours were spent purchasing the cistern and toilet. Because of the longstanding leak there was plaster damage and damage to the skirting board. I had to engage a separate workman to finish that. When he arrived some weeks later and opened out the cistern, he found Plumbing Force had not installed it properly, hadn't even used a washer on the pipe that connects to the toilet. And had bent the connecting pipe so badly it needed replacing. So the leak/damage was even worse. This new workman was shocked when I told him Plumbingforce had charged me over £500 for the cistern and toilet. I have been asking for clarity on the invoice for around three months now. The office tells me the plumber has the details, then the plumber tells me the office have all the details. I know they're playing me, as I just tried to call one last time and they were so aggressive. Telling me I was very rude and talking over them. Every time I tried to speak they would start shouting telling me I was being rude. Bottom line they are refusing to give me evidence the toilet and cistern cost £534. Instead they just shouted and shouted. I paid over £2000 and then had to pay another contractor over £1,000 to sort their shocking mess. Avoid this company at all costs.

Avoid this dreadful company and save yourself some money. I booked a gas engineer to come and move a gas pipe which was in the wrong position for a new kitchen stove. He turned up, clearly not prepared to undertake this simple job having brought no pipes or connectors with him. He spent 10 minutes inspecting the problem and left. For this I was charged £118. This was swiftly followed up with an outrageous quotation to carry out the work for £677.78. This quote contained no information about the cost of parts or the amount of labour time involved. I did ask the engineer how long it would take to do the job and he said “a few hours” - about which I was sceptical. I swiftly got in touch with another local company and their engineer has just completed the work for more than £200 less than PlumbingForce. He did it in one hour! I raised this treatment with the PlumbingForce’s Aftersales Manager and asked for a refund but he would not budge an inch. They do not appear to be interested in their customers’ experience.

Shambles of a company, DO NOT USE. Appointment was booked well in advance for 9am-1pm slot. Plumber did not turn up and then casually later in the day I was told they aren't coming, we took time off unpaid to be home for the appointment. Think this could be a scam. AVOID

Appalling Service - avoid! Engineer has now failed to attend on three separate occasions, namely the 28/07/25, 29/07/25 and now 08/07/25. First two dates I did not find out the engineer was not attending until half way through the days in question. I have just received a voicemail message advising the engineer will not be attending tomorrow either and asking me to rebook. This company are are clearly having a laugh at my expense. My partner and I between us have now taken 3 days annual leave to be at home for the engineer, which are now wasted. I have already paid this company the total sum of £575.28 as a deposit. This is appalling service. Awaiting a refund of sums paid.

On Wednesday I paid over £182 to unblock a kitchen sink. 2 days later it started to get blocked again, we have done nothing unusual, in fact we have been mostly away. Today I called to report the problem, I was told I would have to pay a minimum of another £144 to have someone come out again... This is a scam & money making scheme... do a shoddy job and get paid time and time again for coming out multiple time... If I were you, I would not use them!

One star is very generous, I don't usually leave reviews on companies unless i'm very satisfied or very disappointed. For many years been using Plumbingforce for my annual boiler service or indeed for emergencies and been satisfied until this new company taken over Plumbingforce, however, they still using Plumbingforce as their name so they don't lose their clientele and to look more professional. Couple of weeks ago i contacted PlumbingForce to arrange the relocation of 2 water pipes that come from the house to my utility room and place them from the left corner to the right corner inside the utility however, i wanted those pipes to be through the concrete floor as i wanted to tile the floor and have no visible pipes, the operator on the phone assured me that all their engineers are qualified and have all the necessary tools and materials to do the job, i've explained again just to make sure this will be possible and again they assured me not to worry as they can do it. I've agreed to their £120 + vat fee for the first hour + £60 +vat per hour after that + any materials and booked the engineer for the following day as i needed this job to be done before the next builder was booked to do the tiling. The engineer turned up on time at 08:00 am next day and left at 08:02 after she mentioned she is not qualified or have the equipment to cut or dig the channel in the concrete floor for the relocation of the plumbing... and the company charged me £144 including VAT for doing absolutely nothing. This puts massive delays in works that already has been booked and money spent, i'm not talking about just £144, is all the other builders that will be pushed back because of this. I understand how trade works and i know that there is a minimum charge or whatever, however, if you assure me over the phone that the engineers are qualified and they have all the necessary tools and materials for the job, why don;t you send someone that can do this job, or indeed, if you know you don't have the capability to do this kind of job, why taking people money. As soon as the engineer left, i contacted via telephone the office of PlumbingForce and explained the situation and been put on hold for over 5 minutes for the operator to talk to their manager, after all this waiting, been told to send them an email to the aftersales which i did immediately, after 5 days, i've received an email from their after sales manager saying they won't refund me any money as i have agreed for the minimum fee of £120 + vat for the work even if they didn't do any work. This is so frustrating and disappointing as such a big company do not look after their customers and promises what they cannot deliver, no wonder why they only have 1.3 star on google reviews. This will just top this up even more as they deserve it. Terrible experience for few hours work that probably won't take even 40 minutes to the right engineer, this added so much stress that wasn't even necessary. Well done guys, you've earned another review.

I had a booking with them, they were supposed to arrive between 8am - 12 noon. By 11am I had heard nothing from them so I called. I don’t think they had even appointed an engineer at that point. The appointment was moved to 1pm - 5pm . They called at 3.30 to say an engineer wasn’t available due to an ‘emergency ‘I wasted the most part of a day waiting for them, so I would not recommend them.

I feel compelled to share my experience with PlumbingForce to warn others. I booked them to remove two radiators and cap the valves. I was quoted 1–2 hours’ work at around £144. When their engineer, Chris, arrived, he called me within 10 minutes and claimed the job would take 10 hours and cost over £1,400 — nearly ten times the estimate. He then hung up on me and left the property. No work was carried out, and they still charged me the full fee. I later had a qualified plumber attend who did the job in 15 minutes with no system draining or balancing required — exactly as I’d originally requested and described during booking. The After Sales Manager, Dan MacDonald, at PlumbingForce refused a refund and doubled down, citing vague T&Cs and insisting their engineer acted correctly. From my experience, this felt like either gross incompetence or a deliberate upsell tactic. I’ll leave it to others to judge, but I will not be using them again — and I encourage anyone else to think twice before doing so.

Plumber attended the property, did what he could to resolve a kitchen issue and left within 50 minutes. Then came back 25 minutes later to ask for a signature on paperwork - time I was then billed for, in spite of the fact that the work done within the property was under an hour. Have been told repeatedly that unless I can 'prove' the exit time of the engineer, I won't be refunded. A convenient system to charge extra money and accuse customers of dishonesty. Straight up scam behaviour, and unprofessional.
