“I tried Poppy’s picnic after my new puppy came weaned onto raw food. The website was so easy to use, and the food was delivered quickly, exactly as described with good updates. Unlike a lot of raw food providers, the meals come in take away style plastic boxes and I found that far better for preparing and managing the food rather than them being in plastic bags. Ultimately I’m not convinced raw feeding is for us, that’s just personal choice but I cannot fault the quality and service of Poppy’s picnic and highly recommend them for anyone looking to raw feed.”

“My 3 year old Border Terrier was becoming increasingly fussy and unenthusiastic about his dinner choices. Since trying the cookable Mighty Mince, he has not turned up his nose at one mealtime it has been a genuine game changer! He loves it and I love that there is no mealtime negotiation any more.”

“Following a late delivery of raw food that exceeded 48 hours dispatch, I rejected the order as the December order was delivered within 20 hours of the dispatch notice and had already started to defrost. Following discussions with customer service requesting an additional order as a replacement I was informed this would not be implemented or any payments reinbursed. I would have at least expected that the 24-hour delivery payment would have been offered but they were not interested. No dog food - No refund - Very Poor Customer Service following very late delivery - Be Cautious. Will NEVER use this company again or recommend it.”

Dear Anonymous We were very sorry to hear you had rejected your delivery, which our records show was delivered 43 hours from despatch. It was such a cold couple of days, barely rising above freezing, that the box temperature would have remained below acceptable levels even beyond this time. It was for this reason that we explicitly told you, when you contacted us before delivery, not to reject the order. It is important that customers accept delivery of food within the 48 hours delivery period as we cannot replace or refund products that are entirely sound and safe to use. We also ask that customers open the boxes to check the contents so we can more easily send out a replacement, if required, for packs damaged in transit, etc. Our investigation with DPD showed the box was rejected unopened on this occasion. We would always advise any customers with concerns about delivery timings to contact us for guidance, as the dispatch notices are produced hours before the orders are packed and do not give an accurate indication of the time the products leave our freezers. “Excellent - What a great find, my mini sausage was completely off her food and was losing weight (even when she has hardly any to lose) then we tried your lovely dinners and I can honestly say it does't touch the sides. “Having tried many raw brands we find Poppy’s picnic the number once choice. Our dog absolutely loves it. We like that we can choose the meat balls or the regular packs of raw. I reel rest assured that’s he’s getting all the nutrients he needs in his diet. We won’t feed him anything else but Poppy’s.”

“My dog, is the most spoilt pooch around and can be very fussy with her food ( my fault 🤦‍♀️) she loves poppys picnic and I can guarantee she’ll eat it every time. The only small issue I have is that I can’t afford to buy it all the time, as it costs quite a lot . But you get what you pay for and poppys picnic is clearly high quality. Any questions I have had have been answered quickly and I usually don’t have to wait long for delivery. So all in all I have found the customer service very good .”

“After trying many many different brands with my fussy little Teddy dog, he has settled now with Poppy’s picnic & loves it. “Our Sprocker loves his meatballs. He makes no distinction as to Lamb or Beef, always looking forward to his mealtimes and leaving a clean bowl. He is a fit active dog with plenty of energy. A great coat - all thanks to Poppy’s Picnic.”

“After we brought little Suzie home, and fed her kibbles for the first week. A month later, she started her first bowl of raw chicken mince from Poppy's Picnic! When we used to feed her kibbles, after each meal, she was very bloated and her poo was huge. We thought this can’t be right. We stopped that immediately and signed up for a subscription at PP. We saw the change in her straightaway after feeding her raw. She was no longer bloated after food, her poo shrunk in size (less smelly too)! Now at two years old, our miniature schnauzer has developed no allergy. Her teeth and gums are healthy, the vet says she is on perfect weight. Her coat is beautiful, no dandruff or dry skin, and she never lost interest in her food. She is as energetic and happy as ever!”
