“My instructor was Ethan Moy. He did an amazing job explaining every question thoroughly, making sure everyone understood it before he moved on. My overall score has improved from 29 to 32. I even got a perfect score on the English! I liked all of the different practice opportunities we had in this course, and I also liked all the time we spent on review. I also liked how Ethan showed multiple strategies for solving a problem and also asked us how we solved it so he could get a student's perspective.”

“Hi, my instructor was Shivang Giri, and I had a substitute Clavin. Shivang was an amazing instructor, at the beginning of any class he asked questions on how out weekends were and any questions we had, just truly engaged the class. He seemed like he loved his job, genuinely happy to teach, and was engaged with the class. As for Calvin, he's very smart but not so much engaging. It felt like he was reading off a script, like a robot instead of a human. All in all, I'm glad I took this course, I loved the homework assignments, especially that we could look at what we got wrong and redo it. I liked the BOSS solution strategy, I think that helps me in some weak spots I had. Thank you PrepExpert!”

“I really liked my instructor, Sherya Amebekar. She not only shared the strategies for the SAT, but she also gave us helpful advice about other resources we could use, such as the Educator Question Bank and Google for looking up prefixes, suffixes, and other concepts which was very helpful. I also really appreciated that she shared her own experience taking the SAT which helped me better understand the process from someone who had actually gone through it and achieved a good score. One strategy that really stood out to me was the BOSS solution. It completely changed the way I approach reading questions. Before this class, I often felt like I didn't know how to approach difficult reading questions and would feel stuck or unsure of myself. After learning and practicing the BOSS strategy, I feel much more confident and have a better idea of what to look for when answering reading questions! It was one of the strategies that made me feel like I actually had a method I could rely on instead of just guessing. Another thing I really liked was how open Sherya was to giving us her email. This allowed me to ask questions even after the class was over, which I found really helpful. Sometimes I would have liked her to slow down a little, but overall, she was very good at explaining things, listening to students, and being flexible, which I really liked! I did see an improvement in my score and I gained a lot more confidence in my ability to succeed on the SAT. I really liked how the class went through different strategies and then gave us examples to practice with which actually helped applying the strategies to questions instead of just learning them and forgetting them. I also liked how the homework challenged me to take practice tests each week, learn vocabulary, work through harder questions which helped me improve my skills and become more comfortable with questions. One thing I wish we had more of was practice with harder reading questions. We did get opportunities to practice difficult math questions, and I think having more challenging reading questions would have been helpful too because reading comprehension is something I struggle with struggled and this would allow me to apply stragities. Overall, I found this class very helpful to improve on the SAT through consistent practice and useful strategies, but it also helped improve my confidence in myself! Sherya was a great instructor because she not only taught us strategies, but also gave us the resources, advice, and support to continue to improve!”

“Ms. Shreya was a great instructor. She spent a lot of time thoroughly explaining every strategy and any questions people had. She was entertaining and made it easy to stay engaged with the lesson. I really appreciate the amount of homework and practice that was provided through this course. By the end of the class, my score went up around 100 points. While this class was beneficial for me, it is definitely something more for people just starting out on SAT prep. It focuses a lot on basic concepts and how to navigate through the test if you aren’t super familiar with it.”

“My instructor was Dr. Shaan Patel and I benefited so much from him. His exclusive tips, tricks, and strategies really helped me while I was preparing for the SAT. One of the strategies he taught me is called "Build Your Own Simple Solution" (Boss), one I strategy I find my self using pretty often as I fill in the blank with a word that I see fit in the beginning of the reading and writing section.”

“I was in Dr.Shaan Patel's 7 week course this summer and really enjoyed the class. I personally found the class very helpful easily raising my score by 150 points on my SAT due to his unique and interesting learning strategies. Especially technique like Boss and fake intrest really helped me raise my score from low 1200s to 1400+. I must admit I was rather skeptical at first thinking the class would just restate the same basic ideas but the expansive list of strategies and techniques helped me learn something new in each and every class I attend. I found the demos stategies particularly useful in how the strategies help save 5+ minutes in the modules. To be frank there was some instinces where I believed the class was a bit slow, but overall I found it extremely useful and vital for my future academic success. I would like to thank dr. Patel for a great class and reiterate my recommendations to other students to try out his class if given the opportunity.”

“My instructor is Dr. Shaan Patel. My score increased 200 points from this course. This course taught me some very useful desmos strategies that I hope to use in my upcoming SAT. These strategies will help me save time on my SAT which is very helpful. This class was extremely interactive so I was able to understand and enjoy every moment of it. This course also provided special live tutoring sessions in which I was able to ask personalized questions. Our lessons on the strategy BOSS was by far the most useful because it can help students on most of the questions in the English session. We talked about it a lot which helped reiterate its importance. This course also provides special strategy’s like “fake interest” and “glue your pencil to the scratch paper”.”

“I had Dr. Shaan Patel as my instructor, the founder of PrepExpert. I really do enjoy how well Dr. Patel manages to teach nearly 600 students very well. It's by no means perfect but it's truly impressive on his end and I do feel like I retained a lot of skills to ace the SAT. I will state that you need to seriously put all your focus in this class because if you happen to miss one day of doing the homework, you end up falling really behind, which is what I suffered and I honestly think maybe a week of some sort of break in between each class would be very helpful. The course price is on the more expensive end of the spectrum, and there's not much of a gaurantee that you'll pass any of the exams as it's all on the student. I will say that this can offer some psychological stress to kids whose parents spent a lot of money for a course that solely depends on the student's ability to master these skills. Yet, I find that the material that PrepExpert goes over really does aid in mastering any CollegeBoard test. For example, one of the best strategies for me was B.O.S.S. (Building your own solution) for English related questions on the SAT. Essentially, you cover up the multiple choice answers, read the question and passage, and construct a hypothesis of what you think the answer is, and then you check the answers and you match your BOSS solution to the answer that best fits.”

“My instructor was Dr.Patel, the course was extremely easy to swallow due to my instructor chopping up the course into segments and making sure he wasn’t laying down to much info on us at once. He persevered through all nasty comments left by intruders and swiftly shifted the classes focus away from it and didn’t get tied up on it himself, he didn’t move on until every student understood how they got a question wrong, I went from 1200s in bluebook tests to 1400s, thank you prep expert extremely well done!”

“I found that my PrepExpert course taught by Mr. Ilia Kolmagorov taught lots of great strategies, especially for the reading/writing section. Before taking Prep Expert, my reading and writing scores were always much lower than my math scores, but the reading/writing strategies helped my reading scores a lot. I also found the re-focusing and self-motivation excercises very good as well, and I used them on my own before taking my practice tests.”

“Ethan was a good instructor who was always fun and helpful. I’m seeing improvements from 1370 to about 1400. The strategies and practice i gained from the course were definitely useful. I think that it would be better if students were separated by their current score, because in my class there were a lot of less smart kids asking questions in the chat and holding back the class.”

“Vishnu was an excellent teacher at explaining the material. He is thorough when it comes to reviewing example questions and explains them in a way that is easy to understand. The only flaw I have noticed with the classes is that there sometimes is not enough time to go over homework within the given class time. There are office hours where someone will help you with any questions you may have, but I felt they were inconvenient for me. Other than that, I'd HIGHLY recommend taking this course for the techniques that they teach. I've been applying them on the practice SAT tests, and my score has already been increasing!”

“My instructor was Vishnu and he was very helpful during my sat improvement journey. I was taught various strategies that were actually helpful for my time management and accuracy. The most helpful strategy for me was the boss solution, however there were various other techniques that I found really useful during the test. I also really liked the practice sat tests because I thought they helped me understand how the test is going to work and helped develop methods to use for when I take the sat test. However I do think that 3 hours is difficult to maintain attention to during the online classes.”

“I think prep expert is a good course because it gives a lot of homework to keep the students practicing and many practice tests to see improvement. Also prepexpert offers multiple different dates of when you can take the course which is also helpful ebcause it allows any participant to be able to fit the classes into their schedule. My instructor was Taylor Trautwein, she was always very nice and upbeat even though we had an early class. She made sure to get to every students questions no matter what and continously ask if anyone needed help. Talyor was also able to make us feel comfotable by asking fun questions, involving aspects outside of only SAT. I am taking m first SAT ever on August 22nd and then I will be able to see the effectiveness of the course. But as of now, my pracitce tests have improved. I started off with an 1140 (this was with absolutely no studying. I had never looked at SAT material before.) My most recent pracrtice test being a 1280, although my ultimate goal is a high 1400 to 1500 (1480+). This course helped me get a good start and gradually improve throughout the 6 weeks.”
