I purchased broadband and utilities through Quidco ONLY because of the cashback (I would have chosen different providers otherwise). A week after purchasing, I contacted Quidco asking about the cashback. They told me to wait 6 months, as this is the time it takes for the retailer's process. 6 months passed, they are now saying that is too late, and I will not get any cashback. They offered me a £10 cashback on my NEXT purchase. This is a scam site. Stay away

Hi Apologies for any confusion, You need to have cashback tracking for 6 months in general for the cashback to then be paid. If you don't have that tracking it can't be processed you see? I am sorry you were unsuccessful this time. -Andy

They just keep fobbing you off with excuses. The last one I queried they mistook for another company to tell me even that one is delayed. They seem happy to pay those for a few pence but any decent amount is now always delayed. The just keep say they are chasing, which now sounds like a broken record.

Thanks for taking the time today to leave this review Trevor. When cashback is delayed/over the estimated time frame we do everything we can to get the fastest possible outcome, but we are fully reliant on the retailers cooperation as they do provide the outcome and funds. If you have been advised we are chasing those that would be the case, as you will get the same response until it is resolved as we do contact you first. If you have any further questions please do let us know here 👉 (socialsupport@quidco.com) - Jamie

Again like nearly every other recent review, Quidco has gone down hill, even with their in house energy cash back. Still waiting for £40. And you can’t raise a claim for Quidco compare!! Why? As for trying to contact them, for me it speaks volumes when a company makes it difficult for customers to simply email or send a simple message. You have to jump through hoops, using their useless virtual assistance. Will be closing my account as soon the cashback come through, be a while then Oh, finally I’m typing this on my iPad, charged using Eon energy whilst looking at my eon smart meter. So def switched Quidco

Hi, Quidco compare is all managed in house so claims are just not needed there :) If you have one that hasn't tracked there just get in touch with customer support via the messenger on the bottom right of the home page and they can take it from there. -Andy

It's been 8 months since i am waiting for cashback on tracked purchase. They said covid is the reason but I don't think any work in the world delayed by 8 months.it is for #EON energy and a verified purchase as i am still paying to EON, quidco can't say that vendor has not verified. it is clear that quidco Keeps money and don't pass on and trap people.

Poor service again. I will not bother with quidco again. Despite complaining did not receive any cashback again. It appears they track cashback when it pleases them. Avoid at all costs

Scam....... declined payments (usually the ones of significant values). They are either taking the cash from the seller and not passing it on or are in cahoots with the seller and driving custom to those websites based on non-existent cashback

Hey, Thanks for your review today 💙 We do apologise on the decline of the purchases you have, we do all we can to ensure that all cashback is successful but this is ultimately in the hands of the retailer to process the cashback and if they decline this, we are unable to challenge this further. When a claim is declined, we do not receive any commission from the retailer to pass over to you, so we do understand that this is frustrating, but if we have nothing to pass over to you we also lose out. Our apologies again, but if you have any queries please do contact us on our messenger service so we can assist -Summer

I have used Quidco for a few years now but their service has gone downhill fast. I know of several people who have had their accounts closed and "on hold" for months without any reason provided whatsoever. This usually happens when they have gone to claim a payout which, in some cases, have been hundreds of pounds. I would suggest that everyone stick with other means of discounts and cashback i.e. Student discounts (Student Beans), BlueLightCard, cashback DIRECT from the retailers themselves, Google Shopping (most of the time there is more discount offered UPFRONT here than with Quidco or TopCashBack) or codes you can find online. I won't be using Quidco anymore in any case.

Used to be a good cashback site now it’s awful they block accounts for no reason right when the cashback has been paid. Do not respond to emails won’t unblock despite being asked multiple times what they require. They seem to think no one has the same name in the U.K.? which is hilarious as all they need do Is check bank details are different Basically any excuse to keep Your cashback

I've been using Quidco for many years but have noticed that the time taken to pay out has increased significantly. Even in Quidco compare, a payment they can control, I'm waiting for my £40 cashback nearly 3 months after they said that they would pay me. I still find that their tracking is hit and miss and I've learned the hard way that if the tracking isn't accurate, you do need to raise a claim straight away. Don't listen to their "it will correct itself when we pay" nonsense as that doesn't happen and given the length of time it takes them to pay, it's too late to claim by then. Also, be very wary of offers with enhanced levels of cashback, they rarely pay out at that level and they always blame the retailer or claim that you must have used a different referral site. I had this happen with Microsoft and despite paying out on the base level of cashback for my purchase, they wouldn't pay the higher amount as they said if used a different referral site. When I asked them why they paid out anything at all if they believed that was the case, I got no response. The conclusion is therefore that these 'offers' are a scam.

So very sorry to hear this and that you feel this way Alistair! All feedback here will be taken on board and passed over to the correct departments as this is very important to us! I would like to apologise further about the delays, declines and untracked purchases you have experienced! We do relay on tracking cookies to link your purchase to us and if it doesn't track after 72 hours a missing cashback claim would be needed, with the delays we are aware and are currently working hard to get those resolved as soon as possible for all members affected and with the declines experienced if you haven't already I would advise contacting our Customer support in regards to this? just so we can check them to see if there is any patterns here 😊🙋‍♂️ - Jamie (socialsupport@quidco.com)

Used to be good but as others have mentioned recently most purchased etc... are declined even though originally tracked. I've no confidence in quidco anymore, also their customer service if you go to live chat there is no one there, message at the top staying someone will reply within 1 day. What has happened quidco? :(

Have used Quidco for quite a few years but like other users I’ve noticed something has gone wrong recently. Bought goods from nespresso on 18th Feb 2020. Tracked straight away but payment was delayed and eventually was due to be made by 16th September 2020. It’s now 5th March 2021. Ok problems happen. But have given up contacting customer services. Just get a generic message saying not to worry and that Quidco are working hard to get money out of company’s. No one at Quidco seems interested or able to sort a problem or even look into a problem. Such a disappointment as service used to be good. In general payments are taking much much longer than it used to and I’d suggest using alternative sites as this one is just not working anymore. Please don’t post the generic response about working hard and offering best rates etc. Too many people are now having problems and these responses are no longer believable

Pretty poor to be honest, even claims through Quidco compare don't get paid. Had one with a tool shop where I spent over £140 and they said I spent £6 !!! When you make the purchase based on the cashback/deal and don't get the cashback, or you have to put in extra work and PROVE you've jumped through all the hoops, it's pretty disappointing. Won't be bothering in future, not worth the hassle

In the year I have had Quidco as a cashback site I have earned £1.23. I have actually have around £15 tracked but not paid. When asking about this I keep getting told the companies haven't paid out yet. So for orders I have made over 6 months ago, received and cleared the balances in full from some well know and respected companies the answer is always the same, "not been paid yet" although I'm sure they have been paid otherwise how could they continue to exist. I thought the leading cashback service was slow but month after month, I don't think so. If you want to make some money on a cashback service DO NOT YSE QUIDCO, they will hold back your money and fobb you off with endless reasons and excuses as to why you are not getting paid, all just hot air. Quudco, rip off merchant extraordinaire!

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review Bradley! 💙 Every retailer provides a estimated payment speed/date, those are fully estimated, sadly they are not guaranteed dates, when a transaction/claim is made successful or goes over the estimated date we do make it a priority to get that resolved as soon as possible but please be aware as the funds are provided by the retailer we are fully reliant on the cooperation of them, sorry again! - Jamie (socialsupport@quidco.com)

I had been a satisfied Premium user of Quidco for coming up for 4 years. This flipped to dissatisfaction and a loss of trust the last 9 months, when I've seen an increasing incidence of cashback being declined, typically big % offered, or big ££. Reasons for decline have typically been that 'it must be your browser set up' or 'you must have done it wrong: you didn't click through Quidco as referral site' - neither of these statements are true, I learned quite quickly how to use the referral site so it would recognise as a referred sale (and ensure browser settings are correct), and when I've been able to prove that (pictures and videos of each transaction, from quidco through to payment on retailer site), I got told 'well there is nothing we can do, the retailer refuses and we are not in contact with them, so this evidence doesn't matter.' In fairness, when contesting claims, eventually I have been offered between 5-25% of the declined cash back, however that's not the point (and I haven't accepted these as a settlement). The point is that Quidco + Retailer are advertising deals that in reality aren't honoured. And I question whether there was ever the intent to honour them. It's also odd that I know how to press the buttons on the system and I do get cashback for small amounts, regularly, but for the big amounts I somehow become totally incapable (and the evidence to support my claim to reverse the decision is not even considered as 'it doesn't matter, its up to the retailer'). And then, when yet another service person gets in touch, and Quidco run out of reasons to try blame you, the final argument is 'computer says no'. I should also say I get charged an annual fee as a Premium account holder by Quidco for this privilege. I understand times are hard, but this is misleading and unethical at best. At worst, well,... Be warned. If I could give this misleading cashback business zero stars for the last 12 months, and how they have responded, I would.

Hi, Thanks for your review today 💙 I do apologise on your experience you have had with us. We hate when cashback has been declined because not only do this mean that you miss out, but it makes the experience poor and this is the last thing we wish for any member. We do understand that this is frustrating and we do apologise on the decline you had received. We do all we can for each member we have, but when this results in a declined claim, we don't receive any commission for this from the retailer and this does mean we do also miss out as well as yourself. We do want to get as much as we can for our members for them to have a better experience with us and for you to not have any negative ones in regards to the service or cashback you acquire. I do understand that you had a declined claim and we apologise greatly for this, however as this is the retailers last response and that we cannot challenge this again, I see that we have offered you an increased goodwill gesture for the nature of the claim and complaint made. The claim was declined for the cookies which we have spoken of, and that the retailer are not obliged to tell us where the commission has been provided, this therefore does sever the cashback link to the Quidco account you hold. We do advise that cookies are cleared prior to purchases to ensure we are seen as the referrer and that this should have an impact on the future purchases made. I do apologise once more in this matter -Summer (socialsupport@quidco.com)

They blocked account about 6 weeks ago, We provided them order confirmation and bank statements and after 6 weeks i sent them a reminder and they told me he is still chasing up with merchant. Merchant already confirmed my cashback but Quidco doesn’t want to pay that to me. My wife is very angry on me because one purchase was made under her name and i have sent them her details too. I can see so many peoples are complaining but Quidco management is asleep, Its could be a scam if this is the part of their policy... Terrible

Why is it so difficult to get hold of someone on Quidco. A very long drawn out process to try and sort account being blocked. Overall service not impressed. Perhaps terms and conditions need to be clearer.
